This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Download Manager - Android TV application (“App”) on Android TV and compatible Android devices with a TV-style launcher. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Download Manager - Android TV is a file download and management utility. It does not require you to create an account. The App does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs that send usage data to Flag Application Company.
Most information stays on your device. Network activity occurs when you download files, browse the web in the App, use QR phone pairing, or when optional features such as voice search use system or third-party services on your device.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device to operate the App:

Number-to-URL mappings you define (for example, 123 mapped to a web address).
App settings
Download folder name, browser home page, JavaScript and browser theme options, remote cursor mode, QR backend URL, onboarding state, and similar preferences.
Downloaded files
Files saved to your chosen download folder on the device.
Browser data
Cookies, cache, and site storage from the in-app browser until you clear browser data in Settings.
This local data is not uploaded to Flag Application Company’s servers by the App.
If Android backup is enabled on your device, the operating system or your Google account backup may copy app data according to your device settings. That process is controlled by Android and your account settings, not by Flag Application Company.
When you uninstall the App, local app data (history, favorites, short codes, and settings) is removed from the device. Downloaded files in your chosen folder are not automatically deleted unless you delete them yourself.
3. Information Sent Over the Internet
When you enter or receive a download link, the App connects to the URL you provide (http:// or https://) to fetch the file. Those servers see your IP address and standard request data, as with any browser or download tool. Flag Application Company does not choose or control those third-party servers.
3.2 QR phone pairing (optional)
If you use QR Download, the App communicates with a QR bridge backend over HTTPS. The default backend URL is https://tv-qr-downloader-backend.onrender.com. You can change this URL in Settings.
That service is used to:
Create a pairing session and QR code on your TV
Complete pairing from your phone’s browser
Deliver download job URLs from the paired session to your TV
Apply server-side checks on URLs submitted through the pairing flow
Data involved typically includes session identifiers, pairing codes, and download URLs you or your phone submit. Flag Application Company operates or configures this backend to provide pairing and job delivery. It is not used for advertising or selling personal data.
Pages you open in the browser may load content from any website you visit. Those websites may collect data under their own privacy policies (cookies, IP address, analytics, and similar data). Flag Application Company does not control third-party websites.
3.4 Voice search (optional)
If you use voice search in the browser, the App may use the device microphone and the speech recognition service installed on your device (for example Google’s speech services on Android). Audio and transcription are handled by that service under its provider’s terms and privacy policy, not by Flag Application Company’s own servers.
3.5 Email reports (optional)
If you tap Report a link or concern in Settings, your email app opens with the address flagapplicationcompany@gmail.com. Flag Application Company only receives information you choose to send in that email.
4. Permissions and Why They Are Used

Permissions are used only for these features. The App does not use them for ads or analytics.
We do not require login or a Download Manager account.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the App.
We do not remotely browse or access files on your device beyond the network flows described in this policy (downloads you start, QR backend communication, and websites you choose to visit in the browser).
The App is not directed at children under 13. Flag Application Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use of the device and for content downloaded or sites visited through the App.
Data stored on your device depends on your device security (screen lock, physical access, and similar protections). Use HTTPS sources where possible, keep your device updated, and only download content you are permitted to access.
8. Your Rights and Requests
Because the App stores most data locally on your device, you can delete history, favorites, short codes, browser data, and downloaded files directly in the App or on your device. To ask a privacy question or request help regarding this App, contact flagapplicationcompany@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
Flag Application Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last updated date at the top of this document will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be noted in the Google Play store listing or in the App where appropriate.
