7. The lights can now be controlled by the app.

8. Tap "Program LED Modes" to customize modes.

9. Customize up to 4 modes or mode-sets.

10. Tap "Save LED Modes" to confirm changes.

12. Paired lights now will auto reconnect to app.

On the stock Cudy firmware, The had a feature named "Smart Connect"

That creates only a single SSID with both 2.4Ghz and 5GHz band. With that feature, smartphones automatically connects to 5GHz when have good signal and switches to 2.4G when 5GHz band cant provide enough signal strength(when the distance is a bit longer).

So i was trying that on Openwrt. I just created SSID for both 2.4G and 5G band with same name and password. But it doesnt work like Cudy's Smart Connect. Instead phone connects automatically to 2.4G band.

Why does Canon make it so difficult to add existing Canon printers to the same SmartConnect software for management? I have 4 Canon Printers and I would like to manage them all in the same smart connect software, but the software only allows me to add them by going through a completely new install for each of the printers that I already have setup and working fine. It shouldn't be that hard to add existing printers to the management software, especially when they are all on the same wifi network.

I was told by tplink tech that my c5 converted to access point will not utilize smart connect. I use the access point more than root router. Should I disenable smart connect if I'm not going to get use of it from access and if so how should I configure my root router and access point in terms of ssid to be the most efficient yet less troublesome to connect to?

Actually both but I am aware no smart connect on c5. What I'd like to know is what is the best way to get best performance out of both configuration-wise if I disable smart connect in A7. Should I use a different SSID on both devices and also for both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz or the same for the two devices and different for the two bands or any other combo to make it most efficient so my devices grab the fastest band and I'm not always having to manually pick one. Or maybe I will have to pick I don't know was hoping for some suggestions.

Just trying to get the most efficient setup in my home. The root router is in the basement, the access point is in master bedroom. The setup is working right now. I did some testing as well. I have 3 filament leds connected to one switch and an old fashion physical switch as a backup for my wife . When I switch the lights on with the wall switch, it takes a long time before they or one of them responds. When they respond, it varies in only a few or all. Then it falls back in communication error. When trying the native app, it instantly communicates. It seems that initialization or keep alive polling is being used?

Things that could be affected - Any gadgets you have connected via bluetooth like a Smartwatch or smartband - The app in question gives access to the settings of the connected devices in which you can setup what your phone does when these devices are connected - If you have nothing connected then disabling will have no effect on your phones performance

just want to add my 2 cents on the Smart connect. I have had 3 in the first 2 weeks and now my 3rd one is being replaced due to lack of staying connected with the HAs. As far as run time I use mine a lot as I need to be on the phone several hours a day but it still last about 10-12 hrs a day. I dont do much streaming but on occasion I do. My biggest complaint is the fact that I have to connect each day with my phone and I dont understand why, as no other BT requires that.

I was able to remove the battery from my smart connect but coyld not find the same size so i just installed the new battery on the back outside of the case. it is secured with some hot glue.

the new battery purchased in Ebay has 4 x tge capacity of the old battery. Not pretty but as my back up streaing device. My Kirkland/Phonak rechargable hearing aids only last about 8 hours streaming auduo books before they are dead. then I change to my back up battery style Kirkland aids and stream with my revived Smart connect. the only tool you need is a small screw driver to pip off the back and a set of mini torx screw drivers (avaiable at Harbor Freight for less than 10$) the battery was available on Ebay for $8 incl shipping- item #293026115936
