Six years since the release of King Khan & The Shrines last album, What Is!?, Idle No More is full of sweat-drenched, ass shaking, groovy, psyched-out numbers, complete with rip roaring horn lines, southern fried guitar riffs and lysergic melodies.

Imagine Roky Erickson backed by the Sun Ra Arkestra or Wilson Pickett and The Velvet Underground, or picture the love child of Anubis and Kali. King Khan & The Shrines is more than a psychedelic soul band with a spectacle of a stage show. They are a cult musical phenomenon and simply one of the most entertaining groups the world has seen and heard since the days of Ike + Tina.

Bollywood is no alien to inconsequential love and incomplete love stories. Veer-Zaara is almost that, but wait till you let your heart break. Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh rescues the beautiful Zaara from Pakistan. They come to his village and fall in love, until Veer is arrested and put in the confines of a jail. For 22 years he must hold his silence to protect the woman he loves, until fate brings them back.

Major Ram Prasad Sharma is returning to college in the guise of a student, and he has a mission to complete. After rejection and humiliation, he is accepted, loved, and cherished by his half-brother Laxman. But the heartbeat of the film is the Major falling for Miss Chandni (literally). He does not employ tactics to win her over, he simply loves her from a distance and waits for her to love him back.

Imagine a class where you get to watch Shah Rukh Khan in his truest romantic element, and you get to learn from it! How we wish! Mohabbatein witnesses Raj Aryan coming to Gurukul to change the way students live and love theirs. His lessons on love, the quest to win the battle of love vs fear, and the remembrance of the woman he loves (even after she has passed away) have tugged at our hearts for years.

The seeds for that sound were sown long ago, as the older tracks on The Supreme Genius of show. The record opens where it oughta-- at a record store-- with the masochistic "Torture", originally from a 2000 7". The "she's fat, she's ugly" chorus of 2001 10" cut "Took My Lady to Dinner" loses its novelty sooner than some of the band's later ideas, and yet every time Khan sings about bringing home the bacon (or his special lady's Empire State-sized ass), well I just break down and laugh; queasy ballad "Fool Like Me", from the 2001 debut LP, finds similar redemption. "Sweet Tooth", off a 2004 split LP with the Dirtbombs, has the party ambiance of What's Going On, but it, like a few of the tracks on the second half of the album, shows a group not quite fully formed, lacking the self-awareness and depth of their best work. "My heart is broke and I feel alone," Khan intones on 2003's "Que Lindo Sueno". Even at their worst, they're merely retro.

The song "Love You So" by The King Khan & BBQ Show is a love song that expresses the singer's strong feelings of love and devotion towards the person they care about. The song talks about the singer not wanting to fight or leave this person, and that they don't want to even think about the possibility of them parting ways. It also expresses the singer's declaration of love; by repeating the line "you know I love you so" throughout the song, it emphasizes how much they love that person and that they won't ever stop loving them.

This drove Shah Rukh Khan mad, and this is when he realised his love for her and was absolutely terrified of losing her. Not knowing what to do, he confided in his mother, who gave him Rs 10,000 to go to Mumbai and look for Gauri.

Music composer Devi Sri Prasad tweeted a photograph with Shah Rukh Khan and wrote, "Happiest MUSICAL BIRTHDAY to our Dearest #PATHAAN #JAWAN #KingKHAN dearest @iamsrk sirr.Keep entertaining us always with ur Charm, Charisma, Warmth, Wit & Knowledge Sir !!!!It was so lovely meeting U n Thanku for all those lovely compliments for d Music of #Pushpa May Allah always bless U with the Best sirr !"

Rajkumar Hirani narrated how after watching Shah Rukh Khan in Circus he decided to work with him. He shared, "Before I tell you how was it working with him, I will tell you a small story. I used to study at a film institute. I used to wonder, 'I am graduating from here, but who would work with me?' I used to look at big stars like Bachchan sahab and think, 'why would a star like him work with me?' So, one day, in my hostel's TV room, I was watching Circus. In a particular scene, a young actor was performing at a platform. It was a big monologue. I thought, 'Who is this guy? This is so wonderful. He is not a big actor too. I can take him in my film after I graduate.'"

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who joined Shah Rukh Khan in the 'SRK Day' celebration was overwhelmed on seeing the love of the fans. He said at the fan meet, "It's heartwarming to see so much affection. Film release hogi...ye toh vaise hi houseful lag raha hai (The film already seems to be houseful). Thank you so much for showering so much love on Shah Rukh and Dunki."

"We have been making Dunki for the past 2-2.5 years and today it's first look, the Dunki Drop, was shared, we are so cool that we also now call it 'drop'. So, Dunki drop bana chuka hai and we will keep sharing the glimpses of the film," Shah Rukh Khan promised at his fan event.

Kamal Haasan tweeted, "Wishing the Badshah of Bollywood and my friend @iamsrk , a very happy birthday! Your Charisma, talent and charm continue to cheer your fans around the world just like your blockbuster movies. May you have a great day filled with love and laughter."

Juhi Chawla shared some old film stills with SRK and wrote, "500 trees for a friendship, that is beyond words ..... beyond time .... and sometimes beyond my understanding ..!!! ??? Happy Birthday ShahRukh ....!!! Lots of love Jay and Juhi . @iamsrk."

I must say that these guys are fuckin' blood brothers, man. Real tight. They always maintained that they would lay waste to this miserable world. And so they began in 2002. BBQ visiting my man King Khan in Germany, jamming out their black magick in his Nazi-bunker rehearsal space. Songs flowed endlessly, like blood from a cancerous abcess. They took it easy, honing their craft, playing sporadically to crowds outraged by their incredible sound and nasty live show. Orgiastic, anarchic, hypnotic and authentic are the shows to this day. I've seen the blow-jobs and blood, the pick-ups and puke, the dancing and the laughing. Two guys. One smashing snare, bass drum and tambourine with his bare feet, molesting his guitar and singing like a possessed angel. The other spinning and howling like a murderous djinn while belting it out on his guitar like a real gone savage. What does it all sound like? It sounds like five men. People throw the typical suspects into their descriptions as a defense against the real sound: The Velvet Underground, 13th Floor Elevators, Black Flag, The Falcons, Sam Cooke, The Users, The Sonics, The Cramps, Bo, Jerry Lee, The Gonn... Their sound is all of this and more, but all of their own. The show? A mess. Love songs, punkers, improvised riot-starters, dance-floor shakers, sing-along stompers, wild rockers - you name it. They always drench the crowd in raw energy, and they're always the last ones dancing and drinking at the bar.

I am a die-hard fan of Shah Rukh and I love him for his personality and the way he is. I find him super cool and his sense of humour is something to literally die for. He is philanthropist and he is a doctor (not the medical practitioner). A person who has land on the Moon. He is the one who made every teenager and Indian believe in love stories. And who can forget the charming Raj from the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge? In a nutshell, he is just too awesome.

The best moment for me, during the event, was when he told the story of his movie Guddu. He said that was the bizarre movie he has ever acted in and it was hilarious. While he was narrating the story of Guddu, one of the girls from the crowd shouted that she had seen Guddu 5 times, to which he was genuinely surprised and made a comment that that was true love and he could not imagine anyone watching Guddu 5 times. That is the witty sense of humour I am talking about!

That is tough, i love Holy Mountain and El Topo equally. I love that each of his films are like a ritual, with the intention to mutate the collective soul, to teach all of us something profound, hilarious, surrealistic and mind blowing. The world needs more things like that to save our souls and keep us laughing till it hurts.

I got Ian involved cuz I love his writing and we are very good friends and always talked about collaborating, this was the perfect thing to get together for. Ian is a super genius! Prichard got Jack involved in the beginning of the film and he provided a couple of tunes with his new band The Sheiks.

Happy birthday, Shah Rukh Khan. There are superstars and then there is Shah Rukh Khan. In the far-from-kind world of films, Shah Rukh Khan is an actor whose popularity stands unaffected by his box office successes and failures. From helping fans out with their love life on social media to doling out profound life advice with the ease of a philosopher, Shah Rukh Khan is a man of many talents. It is no surprise that he is called King Khan as he rules millions of hearts of cinema lovers in India and across the world. A unique part of Shah Rukh Khan's legacy is his tryst with love. Hailed as the king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan lent his characters a deep sense of dignity and empathy. And, now King Khan's brand of love is unique to him - one that is giving, empowering and magical. A large part of this success can be attributed to some stunning songs from the actor's films, which helped cement his position as a superstar for the ages.

If there was one song that has become synonymous with Shah Rukh Khan it has to be this. With the ethereal Kajol by his side in the midst of a mustard field, Shah Rukh Khan made a generation fall in love. 2351a5e196
