The best writing project I took on last year was what I call my logbook: a simple Moleskine daily planner in which I kept track of the little details of my day. Who, what, where types of details. Who I met, what I did, where I went, etc.

A logbook was originally a book for recording readings from the log, and is used to determine the distance a ship traveled within a certain amount of time. The readings of the log have been recorded in equal times to give the distance traveled with respect to a given start position.

A logbook (or log book) is a record used to record states, events, or conditions applicable to complex machines or the personnel who operate them. Logbooks are commonly associated with the operation of aircraft, nuclear plants, particle accelerators, and ships (among other applications).

The term logbook originated with the ship's log, a maritime record of important events in the management, operation, and navigation of a ship. The captain was responsible for keeping a log, as a minimum, of navigational wind, speed, direction and position.

To record key navigation, engine watch, port calls and other operational activities on board vessels of all sizes, marine logbooks must meet the specific reporting requirements of IMO, SOLAS and flag states. When maritime logbooks are of the electronic variety, manually-inserted information is normally combined with data recorded from the vessel's instruments such as time and position. Typical marine logbooks are:

On any industrial site, there is a continuous stream of operational, maintenance and safety events occurring at all levels and areas within the process.[2] An electronic shift logbook is used at power plants and in process industry where several shift teams cooperate in maintaining production. Typically the electronic shift logbook is used to record state at the production plant, but it can also contain simple planning functions that notify personnel about upcoming maintenance activities. You can edit the markdown file of the page and adjust the logbook details there. It works, but it is not very elegant. And logbook mistakes are easy to make, such as leaving a task on DOING. Another source of error is that when I go back to a task and do some more work on it, and switch it back from DONE to DOING, the extra time is not always correctly added to the logbook. I use the logbook details to tally up the total times worked for different clients at the end of every month, so I rely rather heavily on this feature. A bit more convenience in managing its workings would be nice.

Opening Log book, takes me to the hanger but the logbook text is ghost and my previous flights are not shown and flight simulator becomes un-responsive to any input, but found if I go back into Windows, while Flight Sim Beta stays frozen open, if I open Flight Sim Console, my logbook populates all my flights and Logbook page and Flight Sim operates once again as normal. so far everything else works as it should.

Keep in mind that for the logbook to work properly, the Campaigns have to be placed on the same relative path that they had on the previous PC .. if you store the campaigns on a different path, the logbook will think that you are starting each campaign anew.

I'm trying to setup logbook in a PyTest test to output everything to both stderr and a file. The file should get every log level, but stderr should have a higher threshold (which PyTest will manage with it's usual capture settings).

If you run py.test -s, then you will see the info level messages in real time. If the test fails, the logbook plugin will show all log messages for the failed test (including debug). You will also get a copy in the file (in real time).

Once a week or so, when I am archiving my daily logbook files, I keep an eye out for anything interesting that happened and append it to the vertical file for that day with the year. The skipper of each vessel landing Dungeness crab in Washington is responsible for maintaining a logbook provided by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) in accordance with these instructions (WAC 220-340-460). Vessel operators must complete a logbook entry for each day fished prior to offloading.

Much of the history of the occupation and its key players have been recorded elsewhere, but one key element of the story has been missing. A logbook of those who visited the island exists and is presented here to the public for the first time. Although only a fraction of those that visited the island signed the book, it does provide us greater insight into the diversity and numbers of people who visited and stayed on the island. A brief overview of the 254 pages shows names of Native Americans that are common household names like Wilma Mankiller and John Trudell.

All commercial fishermen with a multipurpose (MPURP) license a Resident Standard Fishing License (RSTND) or a Non Resident Standard Fishing License (NRSTND) with a finfish, crustacean, or unlimited shellfish endorsement must report catch and effort to RIDMF. The method in which required reports are submitted (federal VTR, state paper logbook, or state electronic reporting - eTRIPS) must be declared at the time of license issuance.

If paper logbook is selected, a paper logbook endorsement must be purchased at the time of license issuance/renewal. The paper logbook endorsement is not available after the license renewal season/after the purchase of a license.

Which reporting method should you choose?

If you only shellfish, do not harvest whelk, and do not fish on a federally permitted vessel with a VTR requirement, "no fishing reports" must be entered using either eTRIPS or the paper logbook (endorsement required).

To report using a paper catch and effort logbook a paper logbook endorsement must be purchased at the time of license issuance/renewal. No paper logbooks will be accepted from fishermen without the paper logbook endorsement.

Commercial fishermen with federal permit with a federal Vessel Trip Report (VTR) requirement do not need to submit copies of their federal trips to RIDMF. Instead, fishermen need to submit a single form to DMF so their reporting compliance can be accounted for. Any trips completed without a federal VTR requirement must be reported to RIDMF via either the paper logbook or eTRIPS. ff782bc1db
