Importing Data

A simple click on the toolbar and you can import data from many Fluke Networks cabling testers to your PC automatically. Just hook up your tester, click the Import icon and LinkWare automatically sets serial port parameters while establishing communication with your tester. It displays a summary of all Autotest reports stored in the cable tester. Now you can import all of the test results or selected reports to transfer to your PC.

Share with your customer

This easy to use application allows you to electronically archive and manage your reports. You can then continue this accurate information by giving LinkWare to your customers so they can download your results and continue managing their data. Since LinkWare is free, you can deliver a copy of this program with your customer's project file on a disk. Your customer now benefits from all of the easy access and user-friendly features available with LinkWare.

LabelMark software, compliant with the new ANSI/TIA/EIA 606A Standard, easily formats cable, faceplate and closet labels, guiding users through label creation, editing and printing. LabelMark also downloads information from spreadsheets and cable management software. It includes all Brady labels designed for telecommunications applications and has templates to format 110 block and patch panel labels.

Labacus 4300 labeling software has an intuitive and user-friendly interface backed up by comprehensive context-sensitive help. Following wizard prompts, users can rapidly, accurately and neatly generate required required labeling. In addition to label building and printing, Labacus 4300 enables downloading of cable IDs into the DSP-4300. A 'freeware' version may be downloaded.

Flexible Import Wizard

When importing records, the LinkWare Import Wizard can automatically build or add to a project structure and place the records at the correct levels in the structure. The Wizard can use your definition of the cable ID fields to create and name levels. For example, if your cable IDs contain characters that represent patch panels, telecommunications rooms, and floors the Wizard can add these icons to the project structure; then place the records at the correct levels in the structure.

LinkWare Stats analyzes and transforms LinkWare cable test data into graphics that reveal your cabling plant performance-summarizing your entire cabling infrastructure in a compact, graphical format that makes it easy to verify margins and spot anomalies. LinkWare stats functionality is included in LinkWare.

When a Versiv unit connects to LinkWare PC, there is more than just a dedicated USB connection between the two for importing results. We also use the connection to enable the end user to pull down software updates when they become available and to perform online registration to the registration database.

If the Versiv main unit will still not connect, try connecting to the remote unit to the PC and check the version under Utilities, DSX Cable Analyzer, Software Version. If it pulls the information from the remote, there may be a problem with the USB port on the main unit. If neither will connect to the PC and you have tried swapping USB ports and tried a different USB cable, contact your IT group to investigate why USB communications are not working on the PC. In our experience, it is very rare for both the Versiv main and remote to have non-working USB ports.

The test results display the DNS and DHCP servers and the gateway router. LinkIQ also displays the IP address of the nearest switch. The new version of LinkWare PC includes this information in its test reporting.

Meanwhile, per the software upgrade, cable performance tests up to 100 Mb/s can now be specified for two-pair cables, widely used in industrial environments. Per the upgrade, the LinkIQ user interface now also supports 12 languages.

A new version of the LinkWare PC software, billed by the manufacturer as the industry's de facto reporting solution, is also available. This new version provides reports including the expanded network testing, allowing users to document their work.

  About the Rating System

These are the transcription and the translation into Modern German of a manuscript by Paulus Kal. It is dedicated to count palatine Ludwig and was written in the second half of the 15th century. It is kept at the Bayerischen Saatsbibliothek in Munich, and on its website one can have a look at a black-and-white version. Due to copyright restraints I can only present the text passages here; empty pages or those which contain images but no text do not show up here.

The transcription tries to follow the original as closely as possible. I have not dissolved the letter "v" in either "u" or "v". Abbreviations, duplication characters remain mostly intact - considering the restraints of internet typography. Further diacritical characterslike the letter "y" with a diaeresis are omitted.

Additionally I want to point to the work of the Gesellschaft fr pragmatische Schriftlichkeit who have put an excellent edition about Paulus Kal's manuscripts on their website. Furthermore the American publishing house Chivalry Bookshelf have published a magnificent facsimile edition of the manuscript, edited and commented by Christian Tobler (meanwhile out of print).
