My Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) was rebooting itself for the past few days, randomly. Today, it did it again, but didn't boot back up. Instead, it is now stuck on an infinite boot loop - it gets as far as the splash screen (Galaxy SIII logo), then reboots, and this goes on forever, until I remove the battery.

The first thing I tried was to remove the battery, SIM card and MicroSD card for 5 minutes. I then wiped the Cache Partition through the Android Recovery Mode. I then did an Emergency Firmware Recovery through Samsung Kies. This didn't help - the phone is still on the same boot loop. I then tried a Factory Reset through the Android Recovery Mode. This also didn't help.

I tried to view the boot logs through the Android SDK tools, but of course, the phone won't stay on for long enough to connect via USB. I'm not sure what else to try. Is there any other way I could possibly access the device's logs? Or should I try Odin instead of Kies?

Second update: I've now tried flashing with Odin3. I used the firmware version appropriate for my region and carrier. Everything was successful, but I'm still having the same problem. I'm guessing there's not much else left to try except bring the device back to the dealer? ...

I had same problem with logo loop.. I somehow screwed my EFS folder, but don't actually know how... Anyway I tried like 150 different thinks to fix it that I googled out but non of it worked for me.. Finaly I download orignal stock ROM but the old one with 4.0.4 android. Flashed via ODIN and only then get rid of logo loop and phone turned on normally (it took allmost 5 mins..) Then I restored my EFS folder. Than rooted the phone, installed CWM and made nandroid restore of my original ROM..Not sure if this help, but saved my ass :) Wish you good luck

Try removing the power button.I had the same problem and saw on a youtube video that changing the power button was a good solution. As I could not find a spare power button on, I just decided to remove it and it actually worked! =pQ-U-Q_NdOo

i got similar problem with any android based on 4.4 with my i9305, any system got stuck on boot animation, tried MoKee, Omni, CyanOgen and few other ROMs plus Stock JB (however this one was bootable just by factory reset after installation), with the same result; finally i was able to go further after format /firmware folder in CWM 6.0.4.7 or any other suitable recovery, actually i formatted everything excluding folders wiped by factory reset. Don't forget wipe Dalvik cache

Sonoff NSPanel Pro has a protection mechanism that will boot the firmware from a recovery partition in case of a firmware update failure. If you messed up something big time you can trigger this emergency recovery and factory reset everything with the following procedure:

Have you replaced the bootanimation.zip on your Android image? Is the same animation being shown or is no animation being displayed? If system/media didn't worked you may also try data/local or system/customize/resource. I will load an Android image on the Sabre to check the default location on the latest versions as I understand it has varied a bit depending on the Android releases.

I would also review the format of the bootanimation. The animation is always inside a zip file a series of enumerated PNG images and a text file stating how these are to be displayed. There are some useful tools available online. If the text file is not correctly made the animation may not show.

I setup an image in order to test this and you can indeed replace the boot animation by placing the bootanimation.zip file (provided that it does have the correct format) on the /system/media folder.

by following below stpes it worked. but now i am facing what problem means i have created bootanimation.zip folder is not working i downloaded boot animation.zip folder is owrking . I dont't no what misatake i did while creating the bootanimation.zip folder ? i here by attach the procedure which i used to create bootanimation zip file could you please look at that one and let me know if any speciality is required for the image

Not sure if this is the correct category, but is the factory demo sketch for the new UNO R4 WiFi board available anywhere? I just received my boards and the initial experience is kind of delightful and I don't want to overwrite it just yet without knowing if I can restore it.

It has been added as one of the example sketches. It was added after the time of the latest release of the "Arduino UNO R4 Boards" platform, so it will only be found among the examples after you update to the next release of that platform. Until then, the most convenient way to get it is from the attachment in post #2 of this topic.

How can one update to the latest platform release? I am using Arduino IDE 2.2.1. When I first plugged in the R4 WiFi board I think it installed version 1.0.3, even though I don't know how to look it up, either.

When I turn on my Galaxy tab 2 10.1 it boots to the logo then goes to the "SAMSUNG" screen, then it stays there. I've tried to do a hard reset by holding down the power button and the volume up button and have done both reboot and wipe data and still gets hung on the "SAMSUNG" logo. What else can I do to fix this?

I have the Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet and I found it stuck on the Samsung logo. I can't boot to recovery because it just cycles back to the logo. I can boot to odin mode but even with odin I can't get connected. It says Downloading and my computer sees the USB connection but I am completely unable to get it to recover or even transfer files. It's stock/not rooted so I don't know how it suddenly bricked itself. It was doing fine running the same clock app that's been on it for 2 years now. I don't believe Samsung has pushed any updates recently.

SUCCESS, NO LONGER STICKS AT BOOTUP! My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Version 2014 was rooted. It had been operating just fine for about 2 years until June 2017. Then it would boot to the T-Mobile screen and stick there. I entered the reset mode (simultaneously hold down Power button and Volume button). I tried Factory Reset many times but to no avail. I began looking for a new tablet, but then tried one more thing. Using Samsung Kies 3 on my PC, I upgraded my tablet Operating System from Android Version 4.4.2 to 5.1.1. SInce then it is working better than ever.

Re: SUCCESS, NO LONGER STICKS AT BOOTUP! I have been using Lollipop 5.1.1 for about a week. It is absoulutely junk.! I will be rolling back to Kit Kat 4.4.2. Things I noted: I pair English and Spanish versions of books I study. In KitKat 4.4.2 I could leave that pair open, go to a different app and return to the open pair. In Lollipop, you leave/return closes half of the pair. In KItKat 4.4.2 when I wanted to "CREATE" a Spanish/English pair in 2 windows, I could name the pair. Can't name pairs in Lollipop. - worthless. There are 5 pairs I use regularly and can't identify which is which in Lollipop.

In KitKat I saved a folder of online newspapers to read. Can't assemble them smoothly in to a Lollipop folder. SEARCH FUNCTION: Could go directly to Google Search in KitKat . The search window in Lollipop is the same as the URL window - very confusing. A THUMBS DOWN! for Lollipop!

Before reading below there is a common issue with these tablets where they do not turn on properly or get stuck on the charging battery icon. Try holding power + volume down for 10-15 seconds and attempt to turn it on and or charge it again.

Hold power button + volume up + home button until Samsung logo appears. When Samsung logo appears stop holding the power button but continue holding the other buttons. Once you get into a recovery menu which usually release all keys.

Hello, I had the same problem and all I did after reading through this article was to remove the battery and put it back; I then held power + volume down for 10-15 seconds and there it was, i am now able to comfortably input my password and use my phone. PS: I did not uninstall any applications.

My daughter in law has had it in a drawer for over 12 months still had plastic on it and has never been used. All we get is a screen with Samsung tab3 and then nothing. We took it into a repair shop who tried to reload several different softwares but still does not work and they gave it me back saying they could not repair it. It has never been used but is now out of guarantee. 5 of these were bought in Argus all at the same time and they all had a problem. It will not even charge

Hi, I have the same problem but I have charging indicator when connect with USB port. It is just that it wont load to the samsung logo anymore after i leave it idle on the loading last time until battery flat.

I have the same problem I tried rooting my tab and now its stuck in boot up menu "Samsung Galaxy Tab" with "!" at the top left. When I turn the tab off and try and go in to factory mode it just goes straight to boot logo again. cant do anything...

Here is what I did. Held power + vol up + home then once the Samsung logo (with device name) came up I let go of the power and waited until I got the Android man with the menu of options. I cleared cache and factory reset. Neither worked. I then plugged it into the charger even thought it was charged. I pushed power + vol up. Then I finally got the set-up wizard. I might have been able to get to that by just clearing cache. I don't know. My son previously used the tablet for games so I don't know what all he had in there, so it was probably better I reset it to clear it all out.

Same thing happened to me, it powered on, got stuck on the word SAMSUNG and the letters just stayed glowing. I plugged in my charger and left it on, stuck on Samsung, left it alone, came back the next day and it was on functioning as normal. Now, plug your charger into your computer though, if you use a usb charger, this way you don't have to worry about overloading anything, and messing up your bills too much, when I went to sleep, I just put my computer in sleep mode instead of shutting it down. Also it may only take a few hours, I was just too done to be bothered with it for the rest of the day. 152ee80cbc
