Any thoughts on what is the best tablet for using Logos / Verbum. I have an older iPad 9.7 inch at the moment. Verbum often crashes. I have an Android phone. So my question is, for a table type device, what best, what are some of the headaches:

Yes, that is what I am thinking also. But I was hoping to get the greater features of the Windows desktop version on a 10 inch-ish tablet, rather than my 14 inch radiant heat source tablet. My kids are constantly doing their homework on the desktop PC. Darn, thety need to be less diligent with homework!

I'm late to the party. Looking at the Samsung Tab A7 Lite at Costco. From what I've read 32 gigs won't cut it because the OS takes 17 gigs. Looks like it will be great for ebooks, but ... I assume I will not be able to load Logos onto it. Is that right? I have never had a tablet and my Note 8 is just too small for old eyes. I need a tablet small enough to hold in one hand. I will only be using it for Logos, Google ebooks and Word. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

This free version of PocketBible provides all the features you need to read and study the Bible on the go. But for serious study on your Android phone or tablet, consider a subscription to the Advanced Feature Set. Features include the ability to search your entire library in one step; our unique Autostudy feature to bring together everything in your library to support the study of a passage or word; the Journal lets you enter notes that are not attached to any particular Bible verse; and synthesized audio to read the Bible to you.

The ability to sync between devices is extremely desired for me. If given the choice, I don't want to use a Bible app that doesn't follow me from device to device. If I'm reading John 3 on my phone and move to my tablet, I want the app to open up to John 3.

As a side note, Android in general has a "tablet problem." Unlike the iOS side of the equation, many apps simply aren't good because many developers don't spend the time to optimize for Android tablets.

Unfortunately, the Android tablet experience is just not good. If you need something to use on your Android tablet, I recommend you look elsewhere unless you have no other Bible app yet because having no Bible on your device isn't good. So start here.

So what does this mean? Irrespective of the brand and make of the Android device, whether Tablet or Phone, it doesn't matter: what is downloaded on the phone will run on the tablet, and what is installed on the tablet will run on the phone. In other words (and you can't make this up because its true), when it comes to Android software, its developed to run on all devices. The only thing that e-Sword Android won't run on are devices prior to the Nougat version. Anything from and after that version to the present and beyond, you're fine.

You need to import the module into e-Sword in order for it to be useable

1. Open e-Sword for Android and look the for three line menu icon at the top of the e-Sword screen and tap it. This will open the e-Sword menu.

2. Scroll down the menu until you see the Import option on the menu and tap it. This will activate e-Sword's import function and will open your android download folder

3. Tap the module to import it into e-Sword

I have Esword for all my gadgets. I have it for Iphone, Ipad, Android and PC. I used to use apple for a while for work, but was glad to see it come to Android, pure awesomenessssssssss to have the best bible app on android.

I'm trying to find a much better tablet than the Android YQ10 which I just returned to Amazon. Do you just have your Ipad? I know those are exceptional but I can't afford to pay for one I can afford the androids, probably end up with a Samsung I'm thinking. I've been on Androids, PCs, for a lifetime, I'm almost 71 and doubt I could handle anything but Android. I hope I feel "awesome" about e-sword as it is frustrating in a way because first I had to buy an NKJV, second I can't get the Strong's #s on anything but the KJV+ and I'm just hoping e-sword will add the Recovery Bible Version (Watchman Nee & Witness Lee) as I find it so amazing, and I believe accurate, although I am very new to really digging deeper into the bible.

Ok thanks. Actually, I'm having a new problem now. I reinstalled JWLibrary and now NOTHING works! It can download the NWT Bible. But then if I try to tap a Bible book, then the chapter, the tablet gets stuck in an infinite loop and will never show the verses. Then if I tap "Publications" the app will shut down with the message "Unfortunately, JW Library has stopped working." I tried reinstalling the app a couple times, clearing the data, clearing the cache, and nothing works. The app is now completely broken.

I don't think so. This is what happened: JWL was running fine (but a little slow) on my step-father's tablet. My step-father asked me to see if I can get the Study Bible. I went into the Languages section of the Bible, and the Study Edition was not there. I checked the Play Store for JWL updates but there were none. I checked for the tablet's firmware updates but there were none.

What's worse is the tablet's Recovery Mode is also broken! I try to load the tablet in Recovery Mode by pressing power-on with volume-down button, it says, "Press Volume Up to enter RCK." When I press Volume Up, I get a screen with the Android that seems like it's loading something for a couple seconds, then it switches to a screen with the Android fallen over and a triangle warning sign coming out of his opened chest. The tablet freezes at this screen and does not respond to any commands. Then it loads the tablet normally. I cannot get to any recovery options. I can't even do a factory restore if I wanted to.

Well I found a temporary fix. I downloaded an app called Aptoide and from there you can download different versions of JWL. I started with some of the previous versions, thinking those might work, but they didn't. Finally, I decided to download the latest version 9.3. I doubted it would work on this old tablet, but it did! The only problem is I can't get the JWL icon onto the desktop. I have to go through Aptoide to open it. (Or just don't never shut down the tablet so JWL will always open in the background.) It's an annoyance, but at least JWL works now.

One option with Word is to sync with your OneDrive. Then you can open the Word document in Office on your tablet and preach or teach from it. Another option is to connect your device via USB and drag and drop the file in your documents folder. If you use Word then I recommend matching the page size to your screen size. Also be sure to experiment with font sizes to see what works for you. You can create a template and use headers, bullets, bold, italics, and color. I like to paste in Scripture and set it as a quote so it stands apart from the rest of the text.
