actually it doesn't. to receive notifications on my phone i have to have the bell "off," or what common sense would read as "off," meaning with the slash on it. makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER and my phone seems to decide whether a message should be notified or not all by itself. not so smart(phone)

Afterward tapping the bell icon to enable notifications from that sender, the same text without the bell-with-a-slash-through-it symbol, indicating that notifications are no longer silenced for that sender:

I'm not getting notifications for messages (iOS16). Everything SEEMS to be set right, but when I swipe left on a message I didn't get a notification for, there is a slashed bell icon. I understand that this indicated that messages from this person are muted. I can click that slashed bell to unslash it, ideally allowing notification. But, jeez, what is making everyone's messages have a slashed bell icon? Somehow, my system has disallowed notification for everyone. I want EVERYONE to have allowed message notifications.

That all being said, I now am getting text message notifications, BUT, looking at a text I was sent, that gave me a notification, I STILL see a slashed bell. I thought a slahed bell meant no notification.

The slashed bell on an individual message means that notifications for that specific thread is disabled. It is not related to DND. Go to Settings/Notifications and make sure Allow Notifications is on.

OK, I now see what is happening. I thought you were seeing a slashed bell in the list. If you see it when you swipe from right to left and see a slashed bell that means you can tap on the slashed bell to DISABLE notifications for that thread. Like tapping the trash can will delete it.

Thank you. I do understand that I can unslash the bell by tapping it. But what exactly does a slashed bell mean? Does a slashed bell mean notifications are allowed, or does it mean they are not allowed? If the former, that answers all of my questions, but a slashed bell sort of visually means to me that there is no bell (as in, no notification).

Ah, now I see. The meaning of that icon is sort of reversed from what one might suppose it to be. If the bell is unslashed, notifications are disabled. So the bell itself sort of means NO notifications.

Ahh... I guess, after you've downloaded the siren sound, you should go to settings on your phone and find maybe ringtones, notification sounds and select it from where you downloaded it to... not sure, I don't have an Iphone. Best maybe do a search online, should be able to find concise instructions there. ?

Is it possible to get an alert on my phone when the doorbell is rung that really grabs your attention, like the phone making a doorbell sound ? I can't see any customisation of the sound notification and it's very subtle.

In terms of basic operation, I was hoping I'd be able to configure it and the Reolink app to notify me that the b**ton had been pressed (which I now realise is called a "Visitor" notification), and have motion detection ("Person") with different behaviours for the notifications. I want the "Visitor" notification to sound a loud doorbell-like sound to really grab my attention, whereas I want the person alarm just to trigger recording on my Reolink NVR.

Is this possible?

I'm running the latest version of the doorbell firmware v3.0.0.2033_23041300 and the latest Reolink app on my iPhone.

@kevin-marchant_394632396636406 Your requests have already been requested by a number of customers including myself. We have requested that the doorbell does a VOIP call to our smartphone similar to what other brands have. We have also requested to have distinct notification sound for each camera.

Currently the doorbell has a single notification function covering both detection type.

Kindly send a request to support on -us/requests/new/

Their priority is based on the number of requests per requested feature.

I would check to make sure your notifications are actually on. Make sure zzz is not across the Bell in the top right of the home screen. Then go into the actual Doorbell and make sure Notifications are enabled.

Yes it is a reoccurring problem unfortunately. The only way to solve it is to either go into your wise app settings and completely wipe out all cash and log back in. Also sometimes going into the video doorbells notification settings and turning all the notifications and the voice over IP settings to off exiting the app and then coming back in and turning it all back on. It is a major problem in my opinion and it is the reason I am considering switching my whole house over to a different brand. I have been a huge proponent of wise products over the years especially with their V2 camera, but as their portfolio continues to diversify it seems that the quality is getting less and less and that the app is more and more problematic. In the beginning they would say over and over again that they are not a security company, however they kept adding products and then eventually changing their terms and saying that they could be used for security purposes. However they are nowhere near reliable enough for any level of security at home. (Please forgive any spelling errors as the whole comment was dictated)

I hope so. I removed all accounts from other devices and kept it on one device. Reinstalled the app and still no notifications from the doorbell when the button is pressed. Only get a notification that there is motion. Someone else , hopefully, is experiencing the same issue as me with Samsung Ultra 22. Also tried the Voice over Ip option nto have the door press call my cell but that also did not work.

So if you turn on voice over ip option, you have to make sure that the phones Spam Calling feature is turned OFF. I am now able to get that working but, the push notification that is supposed to come through your wyze app to notify you when your door bell is pressed still does not work. I am hoping that Wyze is still looking into this as they have confirmed that it is their software issue and not a hardware issue. Just to add for those who missed my previous notes, all notifications on my Android have been turned on, the Wyze app has all permissions enabled , i have signed out of my account and signed back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, enabled all notofications within the Wyze app but i never receive a push notification when my Door bell pro is pressed. My iPhone however does get the push notification when the door bell is pressed.

Yes, but this is a different feature. You are mentioning a feature that will call your mobile device when the doorbell is pressed. The feature that does not work for me is the push notification that comes with a press, not a call notification. With the Voice IP turned OFF, i get a push notification on my iPhone that tells me someone has pressed the button and is at the door, the Android device does not do this. Wyze has mentioned that this is a software issue on their end and that their engineers are looking into it.

I am not getting any type of bell notifications on emails that are opened or replied to. We are using Gmail and have installed the extension as well. We have removed and reinstalled the extension, turned off all notifications, then turned back on and still get nothing when an email has been opened or when they reply. Any ideas on how to resolve?

Yes I have the same issue, message notifications make a sound when unlocked, but not when locked, Lock Screen does not even light up when notification received. If I wake it up the notification is there.

I took out my very old iPhone se (1st gen) and started using it again, it is supposed to be compatible with iOs 15. When I get text or email it vibrates very gently, like I can feel it if I'm holding it in my hand, but no notification sounds, no ringtone when I get a call.

I have the same issue with notification sounds not working unless the phone is unlocked. However, the notification still sounds on my watch. When I turn off Bluetooth, the notification sound works just fine.

I recently bought the WH-1000MX2 noise cancelling headphones. I noticed when I first turn the headphone on, and start listening to music, anywhere from 1 min to 4 mins, I hear a bell sounding noise. I think it must be a notification but when I look at my phone, there are no messages or notifications at all. The bell sounding noise only happens once and then I don't hear it at all. If I turn it off, and turn it back on, again, I heard the bell sounding noise once again, after couple of mins, and then all good. Anyone knows what this sound is?

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing. I'm listening to music over bluetooth and I hear a notification bell and the music volume temporarily lowers but there is no notification event on my phone (Google Pixel 2 XL). It happens about once every hour or two.

The headset has a function that changes the sound from NC to ambient depending on if you are moving around or what kind of environment you are in - it has a bell sound. Maybe that is what you experience? It made me very confused until I realized that this feature exists. You can switch the whole function off in the mobile app but you cannot switch off only the bell sound notification. So that's an improvement idea for Sony.

To disable the weird bell noise (that happens every time the headphone is switching from a Ambient Sound Mode to another (staying, walking, running and transport)), you need to open the Sony Headphones app on iPhone / Android and scroll all the way down to Notification & Voice Guide and turn that off. However, this also disables the voice percentage level indicator and custom button (voice) sounds on the headset. If you want to turn it off completely, disable Adaptive Sound Control at the top. Hope this helps for people searching for a solution!

I just got the nest doorbell and really disappointed that my phone just get a notification and to a ring. The point was when I am away I can speak to the person when they ring the doorbell. Thinking of returning this unit ff782bc1db
