I am not sure if this is a software issue, but my alarm clock is not playing the songs that I have selected. The songs are downloaded in Apple Music. I have deleted said songs and reinstalled them and still nothing. The software is up to date with the latest version (at the time of this post iOS 14.6). The funny thing about it is that it plays the songs that I downloaded weeks ago. The 2 songs that I have attempted to use as my alarm ringtone were just downloaded within the last 2 weeks. Hence, why I think it may be a software issue that hopefully will be fixed with the next update. Has anyone else had this problem or have a solution on how to resolve this? Thank you.

Apple really needs to bring back the clock icon on the home screen that tells you the alarm is set. My husband and I were both late for work this morning because I thought I set the alarm but guess I didn't and there's no way to know without opening the clock. My iPhone 6 would have told me from the home screen that my alarm wasn't set. Thanks, Apple. Love going backward in convenience.

I know they did away with all of it! That is my complaint. I like it on my home screen (as did many customers, according to these forums). I don't want to swipe. It's an added step I didn't have to take with "outdated" models. Of course, I could be one of the unlucky thousands who have phantom alarms going off at all hours so I guess I should count my blessings.

Being able to choose a song as your alarm tone is a great feature. You mentioned having just set up your iPhone 13. Are the songs that you're using for the alarm downloaded to the iPhone? If not, this could be why it's not working as expected. To check, open the Music app and tap Library > Songs, then locate the song you're wanting to use as the tone. Once located, tap the cloud icon to download or tap the (...), followed by Download when it appears.

If you continue to have issues with the alarm after downloading the song or the song is already download, try deleting and recreating the alarm to see if the issue persists. To delete an alarm, swipe from right to left across the alarm, followed by Delete. Once deleted, create a new alarm by tapping the (+) sign towards the top-right. Has anyone found a smart alarm clock they can integrate into HE? What I want is the ability to trigger a virtual button so I can use Gentle Wake Up to turn on my lights and also play music. I'm ok with a phone app being the "smart click" I just haven't found an iOS app that lets me trigger an HTTP request when the alarm goes off. Ideally what I want is at 6:15am start gentle wake up. at 6:30 vibrate my apple watch so I definitely wake up if I didn't. I need this to be as close to a "real world" alarm/phone app so it's easy enough to get my wife OK using.

Unfortunately the trigger looks like it can only be when the alarm is stopped or snoozed. So really no way to do my idea of using the alarm to trigger lights to wake me up since I'd already have to be away to stop or snooze the alarm

Yup, but like I said... need it simple. I do what you're saying there and my wife will say "back to my iPhone alarm, throw this smart crap away" the first time it wakes her up at 6:15 on a day she wanted to sleep in. I need something that's as simple as an iPhone alarm where I just set a time, and slide a switch.

Right but I don't know of an app that's going to let an HE variable trigger my Apple Watch as I said. That's why I kind of think this has to start with the phone as the trigger, not be driven by HE. Since the built in Apple App can't seem to do what I want, I'm hoping others out there have found a 3rd party app. I can't be the only one wanting a smart alarm?

But even bigger than that is the fact that they can't even keep the time correctly if they lose an internet connection, which makes even the Google/Insignia Alarm Clock speaker (which i have 2 of) useless as an alarm clock.

Yep, this is the biggest reason I don't have one of these yet. I was looking into the Lenovo Smart Clock. I chatted with a Google rep and asked how my alarm would work if I lost internet and was told "it wouldn't".

Create a dashboard with a tile which accepts a time input. When I'm ready for bed, I'd quickly punch in the time I want to wake up in the morning in this tile. My alarm time would then set a global variable which would be used as the trigger time for my alarm app.

Amazon Echo Spot: Amazon discontinued the Echo Spot, so we can no longer recommend it. Although it was the most expensive clock we tested, we loved how small and simple it was to set up. It also offered more features than any other clock in our tests. Amazon has folded features from the Echo Spot into its smart displays, like the Echo Show 8 and the cheaper Echo Show 5 (which you can read more about in our guide to smart displays). We also recommend the Echo Dot in our guide to Alexa speakers, one of which comes in a version with an LED clock display.

Alessi Optic 02 B Alarm Clock: This now-discontinued model from Alessi was an example of high design being hampered by low-quality features. This clock was too audible to be a peaceful bedside companion, producing a tick-tock sound so loud that it bothered us even when we were in the next room. No doubt, the Italian space-age design is eye-catching, but having this clock near the bed made the passing of time a torturous, second-by-second affair. And we found its plastic construction flimsy, with tiny and difficult-to-set dial controls that had more in common with a cheap, drugstore alarm clock than something sold for many times the price.

What's wrong with you? Oh, now that you realized you made a mistake and I didn't say "Alarming"? The app tited "Alarmed" is the first thing that pops up if you search the App Store using the search term "Alarmed". It is also the name of the app as it appears on the screen of my phone. Oh, and the developer refers to it as "Alarmed" on his website. It may not have occured to you but, it is possible for more than one app to have the same name. Most of the people here are smart enough to figure out which one is the alarm clock by reading the descrip

Yeah Apple let's you buy another alarm..what a load!!! Why not allow owners to select a song from their music?? Because freakn apple is one greedy miser of a company. Been buying apple exclusively since 1990--- but am feed up with this BS. Reminds me more and more of Microsoft, worse actually!

Referring back to my original post to the person who recommended Alarming..actually has other words in its title, --Alarming-isnt an alarm app. However i did download the ecommended Alarming bla bla and guess what? It didnt alarm!

Since a few weeks it happens that my alarm clock doesn't come on with sound every time. When I wake up and set it just for checking, it rings again. It happened about 5 times, one time I woke up while it was alerting, but only the screen showed the alarm.

I've actually watched the alarm go off but it did not vibrate NOR sound. The thing is, I have set like 5 alarms for the AM. It is weird considering that some alarms actually do sound, but one or two do not.

I have the same problem too. I used to use the Bedtime feature but after the most recent update (iOS 10.3.3), my Bedtime alarm never rings even though my iPad ( mini generation 4) is not on mute and my headphones are not plugged in. So then i switched to the Alarm feature and that worked about 3 days until the same problem occurred. I'm pretty sure i'm not doing anything wrong. I have a feeling that this is some type glitch? Please fix this ASAP Apple, I really need these alarms!!

My theory behind this problem is that I am the type of person to set 30 different alarms to wake up. So that being said I feel like if you are the same then it could be that if you have two alarms set close together than it can glitch out and not do the audio part of the alarm; only the visual and maybe vibrate.

Thank you for your answer. I did check that my phone was on full volume, do not disturb wasn't active. None wasn't activated either... that's why and it hasn't happened only once. It's been around 5 times. One time I missed a flight due to this. None of my 3 alarms came on loud..

Yes same. I use Bedtime and before I go to sleep, I check to make sure the volume is loud enough to wake me. There have been a couple times when the alarm has gone off in the am but sound was so low, I couldn't hear and slept through. Luckily, I wake at the same time but I overslept for 20min. I'll push the volume button up and hit my alarm sound and it's almost at mute. This is starting to really **** me off. Never happened on my iPad mini 2 before, only with this iPad mini 4... and this new screen is much harder to keep clean.

I am having this same issue. I have an alarm set for 6:00am, and one set for 6:30am. The first alarm usually works, but the second one fails randomly. I will wake up, sometimes an hour late, and see the alarm on my screen, showing that it SHOULD be making a sound, but it is silent. It is clearly a glitch in the phone. If it were operator error, the alarm wouldn't work at all. It's very frustrating, and I can no longer rely on my alarm. Apple needs to get with it, and fix this issue. People shouldn't be an hour late for work, because their alarm randomly fails. ff782bc1db
