During the Library's year-long Centennial Celebration, the community has had the opportunity to delve into the Library's extensive history, gaining a deeper appreciation for its role over the years. As we set our sights on what lies ahead, our goal is to extend this opportunity to future patrons who will walk through our doors a century from now. To achieve this, we have created a Library Time Capsule that will reveal a snapshot of the Library as it stands in 2023, preserving a rich assortment of photos and artifacts that represent the various activities and programs the Library has offered.

For the month of March, the Second Story Gallery will display pieces of artwork by elementary school students from our community. We want as many students to participate as possible with the hope of filling the gallery to the brim with artwork! Therefore, we are calling the exhibit Fill the Gallery! Elementary Art Exhibit. March is designated as Youth Art Month, so we wanted to use this opportunity to display artwork from the young artists in our community. You can submit your students artwork they made at home, or come make art at one of the events we have planned during the month of February where you can make art work for the exhibition. When trying to create a gallery wall, try not to use only photos to tell your story. Using a combination of photos, painted canvas and wood really give your gallery wall more depth and interest. Adding in a hand painted sign, or simply some typography art not only helps you tell the story, but lets the eyes travel over the whole gallery wall instead of being focused on one central point.

In the August 2021 update, we communicated the news the classic templates would be removed from the "Esri Default" template gallery in the December 2021 update to ArcGIS Online. This update is planned for tomorrow, December 7, 2021.
