Do you have an image that you'd like to use on a design, but do not need its background? Remove it with a simple click! You can cut persons and objects out of images, create various photomontages, ...

You can add your images to Prezi Design following this article or you can add your images in Prezi Present. In Prezi Present PNG images with transparent background should be inserted with transparent background as well. If this does not work I would ask you to send me the image so I can test this further.

Hello @Migos, Prezi automatically resizes the background image you upload so that it fits the overview of the presentation, and it is not possible to change its size in the editor currently. As a workaround you can move your topic circles further away from each other on the screen, so that a larger part of the background image is visible.

I try to upload an image for my overview page. How is it possible to fit it to the layout?

Right now the image is rather too big respectively prezi zooms in the image so only a certain part of the image is displayed.

Thanks for helping!

Hello @Matthias_Hampl, I merged your post to the relevant thread. Prezi automatically resizes the background image you upload, so that it fits the overview of the presentation, a 16:9 aspect ratio works best.

The overview area will be where your topics and other objects are. Moving your topic circles further away from each other, so that a larger part of the background image is visible would be one solution.

The background is a bit overfitted for good reasons. Otherwise when you fly in the prezi and the camera is pulled back a bit it is uncovering the empty area surrounding the background image for a few moments. This was breaking the illusion in many cases, so we decided to go with this overfit solution.

Hello @vesmarijan, when uploading a background image Prezi automatically zooms into it regardless of its size, that is why you will not see the entire image. This helps avoid seeing the edges of the image when presenting and zooming into your topics/subtopics. As a workaround, I would recommend placing objects or topics closer to the edges of the image, and the overview will be resized automatically. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Hello @Alan_Kmiecik, the fit background to overview button centers the image behind your topics. Please note that Prezi automatically zooms into the background image so that the edges are not visible when presenting, that is the reason why you do not see the entire image in the overview. As a workaround you can place objects or topics near the edges, that way the overview will adapt and a larger part of the backround will be visible.

If you selected the image and hold ALT (or CMD in Mac), when you hover to the corner of the image, an arrow with heads on both sides should appear. Then you should be able to rotate your image with your mouse.

If you have a hidden line in a photo, you can structure your content so that it follows a particular flow. Keeping your text or topics along the line can also help prevent you from placing content over subjects within a background image (a common mistake that can make your visuals difficult to digest).

We like the recoloring of this image because the dark water provides a space that can make your message really stand out. Pair this image with a memorable statistic in a bold, white font, a heartstring-tugging quote, or whatever message is most important for the audience to remember.

The negative space in this snowy paddler image is balanced around the subject, making it a great option if you want to include a few pieces of information in this section of the presentation but convey a sense of equal importance between them.

While background images are, obviously, in the background, they can actually help drive the presentation if used within platforms like Prezi. See how we take the same backgrounds from the negative space section and turn them into an essential part of the story.

Everyone likes a good cityscape, but they can sometimes be so mesmerizing that they detract from the content. By using black and white and a trick of the lens, this photograph is perfect for those who want the scenery to make a subtle urban statement.

As mentioned earlier, balance is key. Aim for a background that is visually appealing but not overly complex. Too much visual noise can distract your audience from your content. Simplicity can make your message stand out, so choose backgrounds that enhance, rather than overpower, your presentation.

Colors play a significant role in conveying emotions and messages. Different colors can evoke various feelings and responses from your audience. Consider the following associations when selecting colors for good backgrounds:

In addition to making background design easy, the search tool within Prezi will also source high-quality images and icons for you to use, so you can design your entire presentation from start to finish without ever leaving the platform.

Hi @Kelsey_Dillon, I merged your post to the relevant thread. To rotate the image please click on thr picture t to select it. Then hold down the left ALT+CTRL in Windows, or CMD for Mac, and drag one of the corners of the box up or down to turn it.

Prezi offers a range of editing features to improve the look of your images. To edit an image, hover over it to show the toolbar. You can use the buttons in this toolbar to crop, replace or delete the image.

As well as basic empty frames, Prezi has a set of ready-to-use frame layouts that you can add to your presentations. These typically contain some combination of text and images. Some frame layouts contain further frames within them.

Hey @DYLAN_ZA, I merged your post to the relevant thread. I went ahead tested your account and the insert image/video functions seemed to be working well. I could insert all kinds of images as well as convert a ppt to Prezi.

When uploading pictures into my prezi presentation around 30% of the uploads fail after a very long loading phase of around 1min. I already check the file size, this shouldnt matter because very often pics with a similar size work.

Hi @Stefan_Lindtner, these images insert just fine for me. Could you try to access prezi.com in a different browser or in an incognito window of Google Chrome? (This can be opened by CMD + SHIFT + N on Mac and CTRL + SHIFT + N on Windows)

Hello Prezi team,

I was working on a presentation for a few days now, however today I found that I can no longer insert icons from Prezi library nor images prezi1280800 150 KB as per the attached image many insert options were gone!!

Can you please solve this ?

I write a CSS snippet to create a transparent card. I think that combing it with the plugin is helpful to get a Prezi-like result. Using a transparent style, you can insert an image without any file name and create transparent cards on the part which you want to focus on the image. Then you can use the plugin to focus on the image and the cards.

will generate a gif image of 1+sin(x) in nice LaTeX. Replace gif with swf and you have an swf (flash) file that is ideal for importing to Prezi. For the import process, start editing a prezi and go ahead to the dialog for importing an image. In the image dialog, past the codecogs URL into the field as shown below, and hit enter (be sure to use the swf version of the URL). Prezi recognizes the file as an SWF and goes about importing it as expected.

I found Prezi easy and intuitive to work with, without much of a learning curve. When I had to insert an image, it let me search Google Images right from within Prezi, and I could tell it to only look for images that are okay to use commercially. You can also embed YouTube videos, as well as content from your local computer. A recent Prezi feature is the addition of sound: You can now upload sound clips to go along with your presentation, or even narrate the entire presentation so that it can stand on its own.

Images are essential in a presentation; because images work faster on audiences than words. The best Prezi presentations use visual metaphors to replace ideas and text; thus, a connection is built between the audience and the presenter.

The big deal is when we have to think of an image metaphor to replace our words so people can convey our message. Luckily, Prezi Present has made this process a lot easier. Today, Prezi is in partnership with Unsplash, a massive library of royalty-free images ready to use in your presentation. Either way, if you are a paid user or a free user, you will access some cool images to create better presentations.

A great advantage is that we can access the Unsplash library directly from the Prezi editor, having the possibility to search and view the images before importing them to our project. To do a proper search, we need to make it by keywords, and some related images will show up in the library. We can then click on the chosen one or drag and drop it where we want it in the presentation.

There is also an extensive icon library powered by Noun Project, in which icons are displayed and divided into different categories. Icons work as image metaphors, too, and it is up to us to find the best way to express a message through them.

The Smartsheet site has some short steps on how to embed from either of these sources, but they seem out of date, reference buttons or labels that don't exist in the current iterations of both platforms.

Is it just me? Is the Web Content Widget working at all? This would have been a really nice solution to the nigh-illegible level of image compression Smartsheet wreaks on uploaded image files. I've wasted hours trying to make a nice-looking dashboard and then to fix this.

Apart from that. I agree, Prezi has limitations, so does PPt. I combined both in a video (hence my need to record a prezi) to do precisely what is recommended in another post on this site: breaking up the monotony, being visually a bit disruptive to raise the level of attentiveness.

You can import only specific slides or the entire presentation.

You can choose the layout of the imported content, from a basic grid structure to more advanced flower and circle formations.

You can choose to add every slide to the path automatically or import the content only and edit the path later yourself. ff782bc1db
