The program uses the ARC model to assist children in developing internal core strengths while they learn to manage symptoms of complex trauma and mental illness. ARC is integrated through all aspects of treatment including the milieu, individual, group and family therapy. Individualized treatment focuses on developing capacity for healthy attachment, skills for effectively regulating emotion and building a sense of personal competency.

In these poems, the heart of life was the kingdom of God. The earliest English literature was a literature of pagans converted to the Word, who found themselves huddled at the northernmost reach of Christendom, ever beating back the heathen wilds: in the forests and the fens and their own pagan pasts and hearts (not to mention, by 793 CE, on the shores and oceans, as Vikings arrived from the north to pillage the houses of God and whatever else they could find).

American Surplus & Manufacturing (AS&M) is perhaps better recognized as the ever-popular Ice Castle Fish Houses. Based in Minnesota since 1993, Ice Castle has become the premier manufacturer of quality ice houses. Like every great story, this one also came from small beginnings. Back in 1993, AS&M operated out of what is locally known as Smith Addition. A small, concrete building housed surplus items for sale and produced sheds and doghouses. One day, in 1997 we were asked to build 10 sheds on wheels. They sold right away and the Ice Castle Fish house was born.

If you or a friend, relative or loved one who served their country would like to appear as a guest on American Hero Outdoors Television, please contact us as we are reaching out to as many heroes as possible as we film each season.

Holton's Heroes became aware of young Caleb through Facebook. His mother, Jackie, was asking other parents of special needs kids if anyone knew where she could find more affordable therapy switches so she could continue the therapy he was doing at home. After hearing his story, we had to help.

Hero Dogs that are offered for placement as facility dogs will have generally had between 18 months and two years of specialized socialization and training in preparation for becoming service dogs. These dogs were not suited for work as service dogs, generally due to either a minor health issue or lack of confidence in a specific situation. For example, a dog might be fearful around traffic or on public transportation, or especially sensitive to loud sounds. Dogs selected to become facility dogs are affectionate, gregarious, of moderate-to-low energy and drive, calm and quiet indoors, and are happy to engage with people. The dogs are house trained, have good manners, extensive obedience training, and a large repertoire of specialized skills that can be used in a therapeutic setting.

We are a full service mobile nursing company, predominantly offering mobile IV therapy to patients in their homes to hopefully prevent a hospitalization, aide in healing in their own environment, and help with any ailment they have occuring.

Our owner and founder, Nikki, has been a professional RN for over a decade. Her nursing career got underway at a Naturopathic Cancer Clinic. It was at this clinic that she first learned about how high doses of liquid gold Vitamin C could kill cancer cells. This kickstarted the growth of her passion for holistic therapy. Following this, she worked in a hospital and received seven Daisy Awards in her very first year. At the hospital, she was involved in oncology, med surgery, sickle cell clinics, infusion services, palliative care, wound care and more.

IV therapy helps with so many issues- detox from alcohol, dehydration, viruses/ illness, food poisoning, infections, cellular regeneration, anti aging, and much more. We use the highest dose possible for immunity, energy, and antivirals. We only use clean ingredients including corn free, non GMO and preservative free only, unlike most other companies. If you want to give it a try, message us!

These statistics indicate a growing need for effective healthcare strategies that address the unique needs of older adults and individuals with chronic conditions while reducing the burden of labour on other health professions. Occupational therapy can be the answer.

Occupational therapy is not a new concept; it has been a regulated health profession in Canada for 30 years and has existed for over a century, originally emerging from the need to provide support to World War I veterans who were seeking out ways to make meaningful contributions to society. Occupational therapists (OTs), everyday heroes in their own right, work to understand and address the unique challenges individuals face in their daily lives.

OTs help individuals modify their behaviours, define themselves in the face of change, and, perhaps most importantly, continue being contributing members of their communities. The journey through these transitions is unique for each individual, and occupational therapy recognizes the importance of personalized care to suit individual needs and preferences.

From the hospital to the homestead, occupational therapy is a powerful resource that enables individuals to age well, live at home, and thrive in their communities. By addressing the diverse needs of individuals across the lifespan and in various settings, OTs make sure that our aging population has the necessary support to live life to the fullest.

The therapist will use behaviour change strategies appropriate to each participant to improve adherence to the intervention. These include, but are not limited to, individual goal setting, grading of programme, promote self-monitoring (exercise diary). Therapists will complete a therapy record for each participant documenting implementation of the intervention, any deviations, and the reasons for these deviations.

All participants, when in contact with researchers for purposes of data collection, or therapists for purposes of intervention delivery, may at some stage highlight an unmet care need. The researcher or therapist will then signpost the participant appropriately. Additional therapy outside the HOPE programme will not be provided by the intervention therapists, nor is any specific aftercare planned as part of the trial.

Nottingham Extended Activities of Daily Living (NEADL) [34] measures help needed with instrumental activities of daily living, including walking around outside, doing the housework, using the telephone.

Eligible and consenting participants will be individually randomised with a 1.28:1 allocation ratio (HOPE + usual care: usual care) following baseline data collection and within 7 days post discharge. The higher allocation ratio of the intervention arm accounts for a greater level of correlation anticipated in the outcomes for those receiving the HOPE programme, as a result of participants treated by the same community therapy staff.

Following randomisation, therapy service managers will be notified of participant recruitment via automated email outlining details of participants randomised to the intervention along with discharge date to enable referral to a community therapist and intervention initiation. A list of control participants will be maintained to manage the risk of contamination from therapists delivering the HOPE programme also delivering community services to those in usual care. 9af72c28ce
