Yes my LG TV is attached with the roku device. The main issue here is that I added the hotstar channel via roku and then paid the subscription. However, after inserting my card details the TV showed that there is a problem in connecting to the hotstar but y card has been charged and the hotstar subscription bought. I can see hotstar subscription in my roku account, however the email details i mentioned in the subscription shows that the email ID is not found in the database. strange!!! If I will be able to retrieve the email ID on which the hotstar subscription is charged I would atleast be able to login to the hotstar through my laptop, if not through the TV.
While it is impossible to say conclusively that this was the cause of the outage, domain registrar records indicate that Hotstar renewed it on February 17. Many on social media platforms shared screengrabs of the domain data to imply that Disney had briefly lost ownership of hotstar.com.
