I signed out of hangouts and got the offer to return to the old chat. That done I went to the settings at the bottom of gmail and told it to sign me out of everything to do with it, and it's gone. Hope this helps

I cannot seem to get my iMessages on my iMac, iPad, iPhone 6 to work with Google Hangouts. Does anyone know if it is possible for them to interact without having to have a separate google hangouts window open?

My work just upgraded me from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7. The plan they're on has unlimited data, but limited voice minutes (don't ask...). To get around this on the old iPhone 6 I used google hangouts for calls from the phone, and it worked like a champ.

After receiving the new iPhone 7, I installed hangouts on it as well, but I can't lock the phone. If I do, it hangs up the call. Right before the screen goes black I see the google hangouts icon and a message "Hangouts Audio Ended".

Darn it, I for sure am only getting notifications for hangouts, even when receiving messages on chat. I appreciate your reply though! The one I use in Chat is a gsuite through work(up until todays' update, it was working fine with Hangouts and now Gsuite isn't supported), so I wonder if it has to do with Gsuite/Chat more than Hangout/Chat. I can't figure out what else it could be.

Apparently, due to iOS security and / or functional differences, iOS is not granting HubSpot (or apparantly any other CRM app) to access iOS contacts, and thereby HubSpot is not able to match internal phone contacts to the HubSpot contacts in order to initiate the automatic call logging.

This means, anyone using an iPhone will have to MANUALLY find the contact in the HubSpot app, then MANUALLY log a call.

Now, apparently the current workaround for iOS users is to call the contact directly from the HubSpot app, however this is unrealistic and ONLY works for outbound calls. No inbound call will be recognized by HubSpot for any auto-logging.

This has been discussed in other HubSpot community articles but to no avail since 2021.
