I'm currently working on a project where I'm using some design aesthetics based on Master Chief's armor from Halo Infinite, and for the life of me I cannot find the font that's used for the '117' on his armor in-game.

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally decided to do it. I'm not exactly the best at it, but I figured, if no one else does it, who will? Hope you enjoy my Halo fonts! Feel free to use them however you'd like. You can even modify and improve them, if you can, since these results are an amateur's. I never took a calligraphy class. These fonts are still undergoing the approval process on popular font websites like DaFont.

The Halo 5 font also includes completely new numbers of my own design. Halo 2 Anniversary's number "2" was not lifted from the official trailers and posters, however, as I felt it seemed out of place, like it was another font entirely. Instead, I opted for a custom design.

The lettering in the Halo logo resembles the font called Halo, designed by Will Turnbow. This font is offered in both regular and outline styles, and you can acquire it for free from the Fonts Used Section.

When creating a point symbol that is a character from a font it would be nice to be able add a halo that matches the outline of the letter. You can do it when making a label, but not when creating a point symbol.

Especially this app has notoriously bad support for OpenType fonts. Substitution features do not work in PowerPoint, I doubt that colour fonts do. Word is a little better. Browsers are best in terms of color font support. I suggest you take a look at the color font tutorials and decide which format you want to go for.

The colour font tutorial is excellent! I have been experimenting with layers, which looks promising as the halo has to be black. The question is, how to change the solid black colour to look more halo-like.

If you do need to sneak it into a font, it depends on where you need to use it. I would consider an sbix solution. And probably this is also possible in SVG. in both cases, the images to be prepared outside of Glyphs, and then dragged onto svg or iColor layers.

The above example would display text at different sizes depending on the scaledenominator setting. A font size of 12 for scale denominator of less than or equalto 300, a font size of 10 for scale denominator from 300-2500 and a font size of 8 for scaledenominator greater than 2500.

Sadly, this code also changes the font and I cant change it back using the font size dialog. Im not sure what it does, it might just add serifs that I cant remove, since the font DOES change when I use the font size dialog, but still the output font in the label looks very different from the original "MS Shell Dlg 2" font (compare labels "1 Germany" and "2 and 3 Germany"). I have tried playing around with the code to change the font but couldnt get the effect I want.

Finally an update of the Halo font. It's been updated to match the logos of Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars and the Halo 2 ad run before release. I've also revised some letters and numbers I never liked. Anyway, this is my first font creation so if I've violated every font rule in the book, excuse me. I looked around for the font thatBungie used for the Halo logo but I couldn't find it anywhere so I decided to make my own. Weeks later I finally finished making a font based on the original logo.

In a Tweet posted on Bungie's official account earlier this week, the studio shared versions of some of its most iconic cover art over the past 30 years, recreated using in-game Destiny characters and fonts. The first of these is its recreation of the Halo: Combat Evolved cover, the one that started it all. Well, started all of Halo anyway, not Bungie.

The recreation is pretty spot-on, right down to the green helmet and yellow visor that the Guardian on the front uses. You've also got another Guardian standing in for a marine and the Halo font used for the title. It's the crossover we've always dreamed of. Next up we have a recreation of the original Destiny's cover, this time with the words "Destiny 2, 1991- 2021" emblazoned across the front.
