The .guru extension is a new off-beat TLD that's great for anyone who gives advice on any topic: dating.guru, crafting.guru, food.guru and so on.

The Groovy-Guru extensionprovides rich language support for theGroovy programming language, using the Groovy Language Server. You can also install Groovy-Guru using the Jenkins Extension Pack, which is a must have when developing pipelines for Jenkins.

.guru was one of the first seven gTLDs launched simultaneously by Donuts in late 2013.[note 1] The sunrise period, during which pre-existing trademark holders may register URLs prior to general availability to prevent domain squatting, lasted from 26 November 2013 through to 24 January 2014. .guru did not undergo a landrush period in which a closed group of non-trademark holders are able to purchase domains for a premium price, and instead went straight to general availability release.[4]

The launch of .guru was part of a significant movement in the creation of top-level domains; prior to 2014, only 22 gTLDs were available for registration, while over a thousand were launched in February 2014 alone.[5] .guru quickly became the pre-eminent new gTLD in signups, having 55,000 registrations by May of that year[6] with 35,000 in the first three weeks of its opening alone.[7] Until the release of .app, .guru had the most pre-orders of any new gTLD at GoDaddy.[8]

However, the market for new gTLDs performed below expectations, with fewer registrations and a smaller market share than originally predicted. While .guru's first-mover advantage gave it a respectable market share amongst other minor gTLDs, the overall picture was of a more niche product than anticipated.[9] In 2015, a year after its launch, .guru was found to have the second highest number of its registrations lapsed or deleted after .tips.[10]

As of 2022[update], there are 60,360 registered .guru domains, making up 0.21% of all domains. GoDaddy has the majority of the .guru market share with 47.4%, while NameCheap runs a distant second at 11.3%.[1] Approximately 56,000 of the registrations are to active websites, and an estimated $1.5-2 million dollars are paid in .guru registration fees per year.[12] According to The Spamhaus Project, as of September 2023 3.9% of .guru domains engage in spamming, compared to 1.5% of .com, 2.1% of .net, 6.6% of .info, 2.7% of .biz, and 0.8% of .org domains.[13] .guru's primary competitors are .expert, which is similarly focused on expertise, and .ninja, another "edgy" expert-focused gTLD.[6]

The extension makes citing with BibGuru even faster. Once it has been added to your browser, you can use the extension to cite websites and online articles with just one click. Open the extension when you want to cite something and a pop-up will appear on your screen with the citation automatically generated.

.GURU is a new domain extension; register it now and become a guiding light. It's a great domain extension for websites offering advice in a quirky way. Or used in its literal sense, for sites offering spiritual advice, teaching and enlightenment. The .GURU domain extension is still relatively new but it's exploded onto the Internet and it's already got lots of followers. If you'd like a .GURU domain name, register quickly to avoid disappointment.

When you enter Colombia as a tourist, an immigration official will always stamp your passport and write that it is good for 90 days. The number will be shorter only if you you have consumed the time of stay in Colombia, and the time you have to stay in the country is the remaining days of those 180 maximum days. In this case, you will not be able to request an extension.

There is no penalty for applying early for a tourist visa/permit extension. And the 90-day visa extension is added to the day your current tourist stamp expires, not the day you apply. But there is a penalty for starting late.

You used to be able to apply for tourist visa extensions at Migracion Colombia offices but this is no longer an option. This is what was needed when applying at a Migracion Colombia office before the pandemic:

You needed to pay for the tourist permit extension at Migracion Colombia with a credit or debit card. American Express and Diners Club are not accepted. Only Visa or MasterCard are accepted. The cost for extending a tourist visa increased to 110,900 pesos in 2023 or this is free if a citizen from a Schengen country in Europe.

If I extend my tourist visa another 90-days but leave the country 30 days into my 90 day extension, will I still have 60 days remaining on my visa when I return to the country in the same year? Will the remaining 60-days expire in the same year?

Hi, i received my pre-approval visa extension by email but when i try to pay via the link Migracion sent all my credit cards are declined, obviously i use them everywhere in Colombia without problem, just did yesterday. What should i do next my visa expires the 13th in 3 days.

Like many others, I have applied for a tourist visa extension online, received an automated confirmation number via email, but have had no update on the status. Has anyone had any success resolving this in the Belen office in Medellin? If so, what was your experience like?

So in short, they want people now to extend their Turist Visa online (no option to make an appointment in Belen, which I can understand because of the pandemic), but in fact their system fails completely to extend Turist Visas online and you will never receive an email with a conformation of the extension? How rude is that?

Possibly we will overstay the first 90 days without receiving a confirmacion email from Migracion about the extension. This happens a lot lately according the Visa Agency which I called. Worst case scenario would be that we will never receive a confirmation email and have to pay a fine at the airport of about 700.000 pesos.

How many days before the expiring date of your first 90 days did you fill in the online form? And after how many working days did you receive an email with the confirmation of your extension for another 90 days permission?

Yes you come come in and out as many times as you want with just your passport getting stamped each time. If you stay over 90 days continuously, you will need to go and come back or get an extension. You cannot stay for more than a total 180 days in a year (1st Jan to 31st Dec).

So I believe they are only asking now for your proof of onward travel, that is why the small size of the document. What I personally did was buy a refundable ticket from Expedia. Once I got the confirmation email I took a screenshot of the itinerary, this showed my departure city, where I was flying to, date, times etc. I used the app camscanner and I was able to import my screenshot and also compress the file. I received my extension yesterday.
