Bringing Guild Wars 2 to the Mac is huge for us, because it introduces the game to an entire group of players who are often ignored by game developers. The ability to play together with your friends is one of the underlying principles of Guild Wars 2, and providing a Mac client means that friends and guildmates can play together regardless of what operating system they favor.

The Mac Beta is available to anyone who has purchased or purchases Guild Wars 2. All you need is an active Guild Wars 2 account to download the Mac Beta client. Just log in to account.guildwars2.com and click Download Client to get started. If you have any questions, check out our Mac FAQ.

In order to participate in the beta, you will need to download and fully update the game client, as detailed in the steps below. We recommend that you begin downloading the client as soon as possible so you are ready for the upcoming event beginning this Friday at noon PDT (GMT -8).

Testing means that player need to have at least double space (and some knowledge about how technology work) as you will need download a dedicated copy of game client. You will also be willing to do trail and error when client doesn't work as expected (unexpected behaviour or even crashes) and keep tabs on developers information, so it is a bit more then just to join up as a beta tester for a MMO for a free ticket into next version of what game will have to offer.

The teams section is for team selection when a beta begins I think.

If you had a guild the guild you chose would show in the restructuring tab. This is the tab that existed for prior betas. Hope that helps.

If you are non-guilded you are good to go, it will sort you out to a team based on play time and others with similar play time. If you join a guild or guilds you will need to select which guild is your 'WvW' guild that you want to grouped with when the beta sorts your guild out based on their total play time compared to other guilds. To oversimplify it think of it as a weighted round-robin style of creating groups for the matchup.

Right now there are two spots you can do this under the WR beta tab under the WvW page and from your guild tab. If in a guild I would recommend setting both but the WvW will go away once the other is fully in effect.

This week, ArenaNet LLC, developer of Guild Wars 2, announced the availability of a 64-bit beta client. The company hopes that this change will assist with players who have experienced game degradation and crashes due to memory issues. Take a look at the 64-bit client FAQ for further details.

The Mac beta is available to anyone who has already purchased a copy of Guild Wars 2. Users must activate their game code and go through the Guild Wars 2 account management site in order to access the beta client.

As the title suggests, Nintendo Switch users currently have guild wars scheduled for the week of February 26, 2024. It was stated in a recent post that developers needed more time to update this game mode and pvp, so I am quite confused.

I appreciate your dedication @Fourdottwoone. The issue with guild wars goes beyond the confusion and the lack of communication from the devs. I can honestly admit that this game has become less of a chore without guild wars, but the same time it makes the game less competitive. 0852c4b9a8
