I was just looking through my facebook Homepage, and i saw a status from the Jesus Daily Page that reminded me of a photo i got from one of my friends weeks ago. The photo above is the photo posted by the Jesus Daily page on facebook. Its very similar to the original copy of the photo my friend showed me which had a very interesting story behind it.

Eventually, the turbulence on the plane stopped, and all the passengers survived. The man took his camera to a photography studio and they printed all the photos he had on it for him. When he came to collect the photos they had printed they told him all the photos were alright except a certain photo which appeared blurry.

In fact, the search for Christ, the journey of seeking and questioning and exploring, is a powerful and transformative experience. It is a journey that intensifies the highs of life and helps us find meaning in the lows (and trust me, there's a lot of both). Whether it be a canvas, iPhone wallpaper, or a small print by my nightstand, a mere image of Christ makes me feel closer to Him.

One of the most inspiring things about Easter is the way it brings people together, regardless of their beliefs or backgrounds. It is a time when families gather to celebrate and reflect on the meaning of the holiday. And while jelly beans and Easter baskets are certainly fun, it is important to remember the true meaning of the season.

Whatever your hope may be, remember that it is all possible because of Jesus Christ. His resurrection is the source of our greatest hopes, the foundation of our faith, and the reason we can face each day with courage and determination. An incredibly inspiring speech that I will always remember, and quite possibly the most impactful message I have heard in my life, was when a neighbor of mine who has been in a wheelchair since a little girl, hoped out loud to our congregation that she would be able to dance one day when she is resurrected. What a beautiful thing, to have the hope and strength to endure life's challenges because of the knowledge that one day, we will all be perfected in Christ.

A new photo of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is now available. The photo includes President Jeffrey R. Holland, new Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Patrick Kearon, who was called to the quorum in December 2023. The shot was taken in the Church Administration Building on February 6, 2024.

Today, as in ancient times, Jesus Christ calls Apostles to represent Him. The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is the second-highest presiding body in the government of the Church of Jesus Christ. Quorum members serve under the direction of the First Presidency, which includes the Church President and two counselors. In addition to their primary responsibility to be special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world, Apostles have significant administrative responsibilities in overseeing the operation and development of a global Church.

Just in time for Lent, a French fashion magazine is honoring the holiest 40 days in the Christian calendar with a cover photo of Lindsay Lohan posing as Jesus Christ. Purple magazine shows the starlet in a white dress and thorny crown, with arms outstretched in a Christ-like pose. Known for her sexual shenanigans and drug problems, Lohan isn't exactly a model of piety. Are devout Christians right to feel offended?

This is a disgrace: "Talk about bad taste," says Rachelle at Right Celebrity. The cover is "a terrible idea" and Lohan being photographed like this is "so beyond inappropriate." While her "acting career is in the toilet," Lohan may have found a way to "stay in the spotlight," but it doesn't say much for her Christian values.

Earlier in his career, when Tacitus was Proconsul of Asia,7 he likely supervised trials, questioned people accused of being Christians and judged and punished those whom he found guilty, as his friend Pliny the Younger had done when he too was a provincial governor. Thus Tacitus stood a very good chance of becoming aware of information that he characteristically would have wanted to verify before accepting it as true.8

Yet in his own mind, Josephus remained a Jew both in his outlook and in his writings that extol Judaism. At the same time, by aligning himself with Roman emperors who were at that time the worst enemies of the Jewish people, he chose to ignore Jewish popular opinion.

Josephus stood in a unique position as a Jew who was secure in Roman imperial patronage and protection, eager to express pride in his Jewish heritage and yet personally independent of the Jewish community at large. Thus, in introducing Romans to Judaism, he felt free to write historical views for Roman consumption that were strongly at variance with rabbinic views.

Around this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man.21 For he was one who did surprising deeds, and a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing among us, had condemned him to be crucified, those who in the first place came to love him did not give up their affection for him, for on the third day, he appeared to them restored to life. The prophets of God had prophesied this and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of Christians, so called after him, have still to this day not died out.22
