Although a few years old, but anyway. I had the same problem today (tried to run ghostscript using php exec() on Ubuntu 14.4, meaning not mamp, but rather separate installs of apache, php, tesseract, ghostscript etc. required), and managed to solve it by creating a bash shell script in which I run the gs with parameters, and then run the sh script with php exec().

My ghostscript path is: /bin/ghostscript and unoconv is in /usr/bin/unoconv. They are there but when I put them in the System Path, they said they not valid. Was working before and we have an upgrade next Monday ...

I'm following the Camelot installation guide. I made sure to first install the dependencies, ghostscript and tcl, and check the path of ghostscript. C:\Users\####\anaconda3\envs\Camelot\Library\bin\gsdll64.dll using the suggested code.

Troubleshooting steps: I have made sure to install the dependencies from their original site (both 64 and 32 bit as a hail Mary attempt for GS). I've tried using a different computer. I've made sure to add the location of GS lib and bin folders to Path. I even asked chatGPT for assistance. It looks like the find_library command provides a location within my anaconda rather than the separate installation location at C:\Program Files\gs\gs10.01.2\bin. Any ideas on how to fix this problem or change the location the code searches for ghostscript in?

Well, I have gotten the message "you must have ghostscript installed"-it is installed on my machine- and then i receive a message to go to your website, specifically: www.neuratron.com/gs in order to be enlightened as to my problem. Alas, the page doesn't exist.

I am in need of being able to use this specifically with pdf's. Please help me. So far my results are 0.

Photoscore will NOT open pdf's on my machine.

Other frustrations are the LACK of clear directions on where to get support. Neuratron said "you must get support from Sibelius". I am unable to find a Photoscore support area here at Sibelius....So any directions to the right place would be greatly appreciated as well. Did you install PhotoScore Ultimate from CD/DVD, or from a download? The CD/DVD has an option to install GhostScript. I suspect that the download does not.

You say that you have GhostScript installed on your PC, but:

1. is it installed in the normal default place for GhostScript, or was it a custom installation for another application? PhotoScore will only discover GhostScript if it is in the "normal" place.

2. is it a very old version of GhostScript?

What version of Windows is installed? 32-bit? 64-bit?

I just clicked on your link and got straight to a page offering ghostscript for both PC and Mac. Maybe a temporary glitch in your Internet? Try again?

PhotoScore Ultimate ranges from "almost perfect" on material that originated in Sibelius or Finale to "more trouble than it's worth" on some other printed music. Before the current version, I felt rather cheated. Now I'm happier, and class it as a useful tool in some situations.

Posted by normanm4 - 02 Feb 07:34PM Hide picture Thank you Laurence. Sorry if you sensed my frustration but it appeared I had just paid $300 for something with no support- I was definitely annoyed neuratron who doesn't support their own product-somewhat of a wild goose chase.

The page I referenced above is indeed working now and solves the problem. Any other ghostscript installation package does NOT work. I tried many while trying to figure out the problem.

If the client is hard-and-fast about their minimum versions, you might be better off with C6 (apache 2.2.15, php 5.3.3, mysql 5.1.52, ImageMagick 6.5.4, ghostscript 8.70). If they want those exact versions, you're in for a lot of compilation fun.

It was found that ghostscript did not properly validate the parameters passed

I can not open either .ai file or .eps file in inkscape of same image/file. Error message only says it can't open file. File is openable automatically if I double click on file on cd - it opens in ghostscript and I can save it to another location on my computer, but without changing file format.
