In the near future, self-aware robots and humans live together in the same world, where they support each other to survive despite growing tensions and mistrust between them. Our protagonist, who has given up his career as a policeman due to the frustrations suffered, plays private detective from time to time to get on with life by getting drunk. He lives in a vast city of neon lights, where turbulent desires and greeds hide under living shadow while the growing City of Sky gobbles up the sun.

Everyone knows what Adolf Hitler, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill were doing during World War II, but what about ordinary people? In this beautifully illustrated book, war historian Hattie Hearn reveals some of the most incredible true tales from the war, including:

STORY

In the near future, humans and sentient AI robots rely on each other for survival despite growing tensions and unease. Our protagonist, formerly a veteran police detective but now retired following years of frustration and disillusionment, spends his days intoxicated while accepting random jobs as a private investigator to make ends meet. He exists within the neon sea of an immense city, its blinding artificial lights unable to hide the shadow of greed and lust that threatens to engulf it at any moment.

What a beautiful game! There's so much detail in the pixel art and I just love the cyberpunk/neon aesthetic! I can't express just how much I love the art. The story looks interesting so far and the puzzles are fun. I really like doing the investigation and putting the clues together. The only problems I had were with the keyboard controls, it felt a little wonky. I think it would be better to allow arrow keys to walk and spacebar (or z, x, c) for the enter key. I thought it was strange that we had to hold down E for information/prompts but regular press other times. Also as much as I love cats, the continuous meowing while I was solving the puzzle was a bit annoying. Other than that, I loved the demo! And with some polishing, I know that the game will be amazing!

Not only is this immature portrayal of women completely repellent, but these images serve as stains that litter otherwise gorgeously rendered and animated environments. From sparking neon signs, to scurrying cyborg rats, to outlandishly dressed passersby, the environments of Tales of the Neon Sea are packed with details that make the city feel teeming with life. Even when passing by buildings that glow bright in spite of their ramshackle appearance, dark alleyways between them are adorned with hanging laundry and fire escapes. No matter where you are in the game, not one inch of the screen is left untouched giving the player plenty of opportunities to just stop and take in all the moving, colorful details, even if they have to try and look around the naked women to enjoy them.

True to its title, Tales of the Neon Sea is undoubtedly neon - and it looks really, really good. The game is set in a Blade Runner-esque world, and you play as Rex Mist, P.I. - an alcoholic ex-cop-now-private-detective. You go through your miserable life one bottle at a time, broke, confused, and perfectly in tune with the lawlessness of the year 2140. The metropolis itself is a sprawling cornucopia of lights and life, but in the underbelly of the city lies a rumbling discontent, as the tension between humans and sentient robots reach a dangerous boiling point.

So as we follow clues, solve cases and get tasked with petty favours in exchange for valuable information, we see a very cool-looking world flooded in bright neon lights and some crowded backgrounds featuring lore elements and a city that never sleeps.

Go right and Falkenburg will stop you, telling you to change the neon lights to match the colors of Miss Anna. Remembering the poster, change the lights to be red, yellow and green. Now you can jump on to the platform, then off again at the top. Go through the red window.

Tales of the Neon Sea is a retro-style pixel-art adventure, set in a fully-realized cyberpunk cityscape where you will encounter innumerous items to investigate, curious easter eggs, and a whole cast of interactive NPCs. You must analyze every detail, and discover the truth that lurks behind the heavy mist...

Take on the role of Rex, veteran cop turned hard-boiled detective. Investigate crime in a future cyberpunk world, where the magnificent sky city blots out the sun - but the neon lights never go out. Solve a strange murder case involving clues from a robot rebellion...

The illusion of the past re-emerges. The weird equipment inside the brain. The mysterious package of evidence. The shadow with a beaked mask. All pointing to a serial murder case from 13 years ago... A semi-mechanical god manipulates the destiny of all in this utopia. Rebels lurk in the dark, in the underground world where chaotic slums and tricks grow. Our detective will scout for clues and end unfulfilled wishes...

It is the future and not only have vandals replaced almost all bulbs with pink and green neon lights, someone is doing murder too. Enter us, a former detective now living hard as a private eye, to solve crime in Tales Of The Neon Sea. The puzzle-o-adventure-a-platform game launched yesterday and I cannot deny that a fair chunk of my interest is driven by occasionally getting to play as his catpal, chatting with other cats and exploring places our big trenchcoated idiot can't reach. Cats: they are good. Crime: it is bad. This game: it sounds like something I want to see more of?

At work, I tied green strings to things that fall in that space between the wall and the desk; the pens, tape and stapler. It was an orderly chaos, those neon nylon strings. There was a method to my madness, but no one else understood it.

Once I was better oriented, I was able to sit up to reach the nightstand; I felt resistance as I found the light, and realized with the neon illumination that I had somehow become tangled in the strings.

I spent only one night in Flagstaff. I would love to go back and see the sights (and those neon signs you are talking about). The guide in Vegas was great. You can tell they love their town and offer visitors their best. 17dc91bb1f
