We are still trying to determine exactly what the broker was talking to our client about - I assumed it was the ability to take flex credits as taxable income rather than purchasing benefits. I thought it would be wise to see if there was something else I was missing here. I believe my client is very confused and a (perhaps unscrupulous?) broker is trying to take some business away from us and our referral source.

Here we have also seen plans where the employer pays for the employee's health insurance. If the employee has other coverage and does not take the health insurance, the employer pays a certain number of dollars per month to that employee. There do not have to be flex dollars to do this.

Bank-a-Meal envelopes are available to be sent home for parents/guardians to send money in without using the School Caf app. You may enclose cash or checks in the Bank-a-meal envelope, fill in the requested information, and return to the school with your student. If two or more of your children are at the same school and you want to divide the money between those children, be sure to list the names of all your children at that school on the envelope. You will need to use a separate envelope for students at different schools.

All refund requests must be processed through the Child Nutrition office. A refund page is available on the district website under Child Nutrition > Meal Account Refund/Transfers. A check will be mailed for the refund, and it generally takes up to two weeks for the refund to arrive. To transfer money, you may either transfer money on the request form or by calling the Child Nutrition office, 817-232-0880 ext. 2597 or 2596
