This only happens on mobile and only with links from Reddit. When I click a link, a YouTube Kids page opens with the message "Your account does not have access to YouTube for mobile" in my language, and the YouTube logo from the page also has my country's domain, which is weird because I have my YouTube in english.

If I want to watch the video, monly option is to copy and paste the link in the YouTube app. This has been happening for about a month, but I didn't make any changes to my account settings. I also didn't find anything similar on the internet. Do you know how I can fix that?

Like all of us I often see funny or interesting content on reddit that I want to send to my friends, but I don't want them to know my reddit username or profile. If I send them a link to a post that someone else made in a text or Instagram DM will they be able to see my profile in some way? Will it send them some sort of message like "yezzree sent you this post..." when they click on it or something like that? or they'll just see the post?

In many helpful suggestions posting site there's no option to upload images from system location. At there they only accepts the image url. Can someone let me know which are best sites that I can use for image url creation.

Till recently it worked the same with i.reddit links, but now you get a brand new site with poor image fit, large margins, and top bar (which itself is useless because you can't login there) will cover half your screen if you zoom in using your browser.

EDIT: after getting used to it it seems that i.redd.it link is self contained site, but you actually can right click -> open image in new tab to see the source, tho after you reload the page it goes back to that mockup age as it's the same link.

When I share a video with someone, I prefer sending the direct link so they don't have to load up a bunch of website UI just to view the thing I sent. According to this comment, it's possible to get the direct link to the video file hosted on v.redd.it. Is there an option in RES to surface that direct link on the post?

Just got a text on screen it says "Whoa there pardner! Reddits awesome and all, but you may have a bit of a problem. We've seen far too many requests come from your IPC address recently. If you think that we've incorrectly blocked you or you would like to discuss easier ways to get the data you want, please contact us at this email address When contacting us, please include your IP address which is XXXXXXXXX and Reddit account."

This is something new the last week or two. Using the Reddit App there is a option in my settings to set the sort order for comments. I have always used "New". It now will always have "Best" selected within the subjects even though it is still showing "New" within my settings. A few searches indicate this might be a setting for individual reddit subs.

Solved... (At least for now).. Using Chrome I opened the official reddit log in page wich final excepted my log in credentials then the link worked for the settings page. Changed recommend setting, now my sort order seems to stick....

In case you want to read and see images about the story's second arc, the one that never made it here, I'll drop this link (curious, huh?) to a blogspot with the chapters translated, you have them ordered on your right side by date of publication.

There are many ways to monitor websites. You can use web scraping tools like urllib or Beautifulsoup any anything similar. There is a slight problem with this, though. Bots can make thousands of requests a second, and this can overload servers. So most big websites ban bots. Ignore this at your own risk. I have been banned from Google for hours, had my Gmail locked till I entered a dozen captachas, my mobile and the name of my first cat.

The API is quite easy to use, like I said. You make a REST request, and this can be done via urllib2 (as long as you set the user agent properly). This is how you would do it. I have put two links below. Open both in a new tab:

I first heard this from Oliver Burkeman in one of his courses. He said something likeThe problem with most productivity advice is it seems to be written by people in their 20s with no family committment. What did he mean? This phenomena I've seen a lot. According to the

RapidSave (formerly Redditsave) is a powerful online Reddit video downloader with sound that includes downloading Reddit Videos with audio.

With rapid save, you can download reddit videos and gifs embedded from v.redd.it, imgur, gfycat, streamable, giphy etc for free.

Downloading videos from reddit can be a nightmare because reddit separates audio and video and does not make it possible to download via thier apps. Other reddit video downloaders only provide reddit videos without sound.

Reddit users can upvote or downvote a post or comment to indicate their level of agreement or disagreement. The Reddit algorithm then uses these votes to determine how high or low to rank the post in a subreddit.

If your posts get enough upvotes, the links will be converted to dofollow links, which is a valuable backlink for SEO purposes. In order to ensure that your post gets enough upvotes, you need to promote it effectively.

I know recently Reddit changed their way to handle APIs and it is very restrictive now.I am working on a school project and need Reddit data on Stocks (subredits: Wallstreetbets, StockMarket).I am currently trying to scrape the pages from Old Reddit but only get a few records out. I was expecting a lot more data.

Instruction wont work. I went to reddit without creating a password by phone. I tried to remove my account. It rewuired to login+password to created. I did that. Now it still claiming password and username are wrong. Reddit keeps up popping up.I want to remove it totally.

Hi! As I read your blog I learnt that how to delete a reddit account. The blog was quite interesting for me because it contains a lots of information about the deletion of a reddit account . I really appreciate your work and content was informative. Keep making such kind of contents for more information. Thank You!!

When I share, save or click links on my own device I want them to open in the old Reddit interface. Despite what some of the prior commenters say (a) Reddit pushes REALLY hard to get users on the new interface, and (b) sometimes the internal viewer is not logged in or the browser is not logged in.

Reddit (/rdt/) is an American social news aggregation, content rating, and discussion website. Registered users (commonly referred to as "Redditors") submit content to the site such as links, text posts, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits". Submissions with more upvotes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough upvotes, ultimately on the site's front page. Reddit administrators moderate the communities. Moderation is also conducted by community-specific moderators, who are not Reddit employees.[8] It is operated by Reddit Inc., based in San Francisco.[9][10]

As of October 2023, Reddit is the 18th most-visited website in the world. According to data provided by Similarweb, 48.98% of the website traffic comes from the United States, followed by the United Kingdom at 7.06% and Canada at 6.9%.[9]

Reddit has received praise for many of its features, such as the ability to create several subreddits for niche communities,[20][21] being a platform for raising publicity for numerous causes,[22] and has grown to be one of the most visited websites on the Internet.[23] It has also received criticism for spreading misinformation.[24]

The idea and initial development of Reddit originated with college roommates Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005, who attended a lecture by programmer-entrepreneur Paul Graham in Boston, Massachusetts, during their spring break from University of Virginia.[26][27][28] After speaking with Huffman and Ohanian following the lecture, Graham invited the two to apply to his startup incubator Y Combinator.[26] Their initial idea, My Mobile Menu, was unsuccessful,[29][30] and was intended to allow users to order food by SMS text messaging.[26][27] During a brainstorming session to pitch another startup, the idea was created for what Graham called the "front page of the Internet".[30] For this idea, Huffman and Ohanian were accepted in Y Combinator's first class.[26][27] Supported by the funding from Y Combinator,[31] Huffman coded the site in Common Lisp[32] and together with Ohanian launched Reddit in June 2005.[33][34] Embarrassed by an empty-looking site, the founders created hundreds of fake users for their posts to make it look more populated,[35] an example of a fake it till you make it strategy.

Yishan Wong joined Reddit as CEO in 2012.[55] Wong resigned from Reddit in 2014, citing disagreements about his proposal to move the company's offices from San Francisco to nearby Daly City, but also the "stressful and draining" nature of the position.[56][57] Ohanian credited Wong with the company's newfound success as its user base grew from 35 million to 174 million.[57] Wong oversaw the company as it raised $50 million in funding and spun off as an independent company.[48] Also during this time, Reddit began accepting the digital currency Bitcoin for its Reddit Gold subscription service through a partnership with bitcoin payment processor Coinbase in February 2013.[58] Ellen Pao replaced Wong as interim CEO in 2014 and resigned in 2015 amid a user revolt over the firing of a popular Reddit employee.[59] During her tenure, Reddit initiated an anti-harassment policy,[60] banned involuntary sexualization, and banned several forums that focused on bigoted content or harassment of individuals.[61] 2351a5e196
