I've tried the Eurosport.com website and streaming seems to work, the only nuisance is that there are no on-demand replays of full races available - you have to manually switch to the British version at the bottom of the website (or just go to eurosport.co.uk directly) - this works for me, even though I'm not from Britain. I hope there will be no major issues in the future because the on-demand replays of full races are the main reason I'm subscribed to Eurosport Player.

Is Eurosport player working for you guys? I have been using a VPN from the US to watch the UK Eurosport player and yesterday it decided to stop working. When I log in and try to view cycling events it says there are only two clips available. When I go to every other day under cycling it says "no content available."

basically that, was fine last week but now from tuesday the picture stutters on and off, goes fine for a few secs then its off again in spurts and juddering, sounds fine though just the picture, anyone else had any issues this week or is it the ever weak and under powered cpu on this tv finally being pushed out of being usable when streaming services update they apps, or is it eurosport itself as netflix hdr content works fine. and yes its a wired connection, with plenty of bandwidth 70 meg down.

not done that will try a reset later, but i have had word back from eurosport support on twitter and the tv is not officially supported !? they gave me a link to supported devices and well its rather strange as the ONLY tv's official supported at the moment are Samsung TV with Tizen OS only 3.0+.

no other tv's what so ever, im awaiting on a reply from my question about what has changed because its been fine for the past 2 years up to tuesday this week. also hard to understand how its only samsungs supported and no other brand.

Yeah tried clearing cache and it improves it a bit but still jumps skips and runs poorly. had a few more messages from eurosport support and they confirmed all streams are now 1080p50. which could be the issue i guess with my specific model. although it should be able to do it if it can do 4khdr no problem so probably a mixture of eurosports app being poorly optimised (lazy) and the weak cpu in the set just not powerful enough to brute force it.

Also had exactly the same issue on that day and from than onwards. Have a Sony Bravia KD-43XG8196, it's 4K and streams everything else perfectly. So annoying and can't believe how rubbish the Eurosport app is, it's a shame as the commentary is brilliant for the cycling but if it doesn't improve am switching to GCN. Let me know if you manage to fix your issues and how

I tried a few years ago with no success. Eurosport player did NOT support Linux machines. Lately I've heard different stories (they're using HTML5 for example, which should be OK with Linux). I don't want to sign up again (my free month is gone I believe), but I'd still love to see some snooker.Anyone who knows? I don't want to install Wine for this either, never had any success with it. If someone knows, I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

LInk to fairly recent article from german source (translated) but would seem to be relevant, you can view Eurosport player via Amazon though. ://www.kino.de/film/die-mannschaft-2014/news/eurosport-player-auf-smart-tv-schauen-so-...

The network of channels is available in 54 countries, in 20 different languages, providing viewers with European and international sporting events. Eurosport had 157 million subscribers in 2019, marking no increase from the previous year. The Eurosport 2 channel had an audience of 87 million viewers in 2019, an increase of one million.[1]

In 2008, Eurosport launched an online subscription service, Eurosport Player, that allows internet users to watch both Eurosport and Eurosport 2 live, plus additional coverage not available via broadcast. During the 2009 Australian Open, the internet player offered coverage from five courts.

In 2016, Eurosport expanded its deal with The All England Club to show all the Wimbledon matches live in 19 countries, up from three under a previous deal. It was a 3-year deal (2017-2019) that included exclusive TV and digital rights. This expanded their tennis portfolio to show all four Grand Slams.[13] Eurosport signed a new deal in 2019 to broadcast Wimbledon exclusively in 11 countries.[14] As of 2021[update], Eurosport broadcasts the Australian Open, French Open (except in France), US Open (except in the UK and Ireland), and Wimbledon.[15][16][17][18]

Eurosport 2 describes itself as "the new generation sports channel", dedicated to team sports, alternative sports, discovery and entertainment including basketball (like the Italian LBA), Twenty20 Cricket, Bundesliga, National Lacrosse League, Arena Football League, surfing, Volleyball Champions League, Australian Rules Football matches from the Australian Football League, Bandy World Championships and more. Eurosport 2 was branded as Eurosport DK in Denmark. On 15 February 2016, this channel was replaced by Eurosport 2.[30]

Eurosport India is the Indian version of the channel launched in February 2017 as DSport.[31] It was made available on major DTH platforms and cable networks across India during the launch. The channel's primary focus would not be cricket, as per the press meet at the launch.[32] The current offering from the channel includes less popular football leagues, cricket premier leagues, wrestling, fighting, golf, motor sports, horse racing, cycling and rugby. The channel is only available in high-definition format. However, few DTH operators downscale the feed to be presented with the standard-definition bouquet. As of 2018, Eurosport India was available to over 110 million households in India.

On British Eurosport, James Richardson previously hosted the coverage of Serie A football on the Channel from 2002 to 2005 and 2004 UEFA European Football Championship with regular guests, including Alan Curbishley, DJ Spoony, former Chelsea players Paul Elliott, Ed de Goey, Ray Wilkins, Roberto Di Matteo and Carlo Cudicini, former England international Luther Blissett and European football journalists Gabriele Marcotti and Xavier Rivoire.

Tour de France coverage in 2014 was commentated on by Carlton Kirby (following the departure of David Harmon) with veteran cyclist Sean Kelly as the "technical expert". The duo continued to commentate in 2015 and an additional pre- and post-programme was broadcast, "Lemond on Tour". This was presented by Ashley House with comment and analysis from Eurosport Cycling Ambassador Greg LeMond. Additional interviews were provided by Spanish cycling journalist Laura Meseguer and former pro racing cyclist Juan Antonio Flecha.

On 28 May 2015, Discovery Networks Northern Europe announced that they would merge Canal 8 Sport and Eurosport 2 into Eurosport DK in Denmark, broadcasting football from Danish Superliga, the Bundesliga, Major League Soccer, Capital One Cup, UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying, tennis from ATP Tour, WTA Tour and 3 Grand Slams, cycling from UCI World Tour, Winter sport, Motorsports.[40]

A sports news channel was on air from 1 September 2000 to 4 January 2018, featuring live scores, highlights, breaking news and commentary. The service combined video, text and graphics with the screen divided into 4 parts: a video section displaying highlights and news bulletins, a breaking news ticker at the bottom and a scoring section for in-depth analysis of results and game stats.

In July 2017, Eurosport had secured the domestic and international rights from 2017 to 2020 of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). Eurosport is the new owner of the pay TV, international and internet rights.[73] Eurosport has TV rights also for Italian Basketball Supercup and Italian Basketball Cup.[74]

Eurosport Events was also the promoter of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, a rival rallying series to the World Rally Championship, and of the FIA European Touring Car Cup. The IRC ceased at the end of the 2012 season, with Eurosport taking over series promotion of the ERC from 2013. The European Touring Car Cup was active until 2017.[citation needed]

Every feed from the Games will have a channel on Discovery+ and, whilst initially the focus will be on creating a solid video delivery platform, additional features being enjoyed by sports fans on other platforms will be introduced.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Can you only see a black screen when you cast from your phone to the TV? When did the issue start? How far are you from the TV when you try to cast? Is this only happening when casting from the Eurosport app or across all apps?

Agree; for too long it was all a bit amateur, especially when you compared it to other sports. I subscribe to the Eurosport Player, rather than GCN as I get the WEC, MXGP, Ski-ing (and other winter sports) among other sports. Saying that, there has been dismay amongst Mountain bike fans, as Discovery will take over the MTB World Cup from next season. Currently on free Red Bull TV, and it's hard to believe they will improve on what we currently get, and will likely be pay to view.

Well yes; when Red Bull TV had the CX World Cup in 2019/20 they gave it the full coverage. The contrast to the current coverage is stark. I don't like the commentary from a studio in Bath - it was understandable in Covid times - however it comes across as doing it on the cheap. e24fc04721
