I turned off the AutoPlay feature and this did NOT solve the problem. When I started my playlist, the second song was a Pandora selected song that was not in my playlist. I already canceled my subscription with Pandora. When I use Amazon Music, it only plays the songs that I added to my playlist.

There shouldn't be any songs added to the playlists you create unless you click on the "Add Similar Songs" button. This will add similar songs to your existing playlist. However, this is completely optional.

You can make a playlist on Pandora by going to My Collection and tapping on the drop-down menu next to Collected. Select Playlists, go into New playlist, name the playlist, and hit Save. You can add songs to it by going into the Playlist and looking into the Find something to add section. Additionally, you can access any song page, tap on the More button, select Add to Playlist, and pick the playlist.

Linked playlists are a disaster. I have one radio station I've created where the linked playlist is no longer listed as being linked to it (but still receives most of the thumbs up from the primary station). (Rock Station, for any employee who wants to dig)

I had another playlist create two linked stations, alternating which would receive the thumbed up song. (I've since cleaned out this station and deleted it, since I wasn't far in and will simply start over).

There is an absurdly easy fix to this that uses existing infrastructure. The station modes - create a "thumbs only" mode. Boom. There's your linked playlist. Then, add the ability to manually add thumbs. IE - find a song, tap/click on it, go to the menu, add to thumbs up, select appropriate station. Finally, add a toggle for those who want to break this out as a separate item in their collection.

On my iPhone 12, when I try to edit my thumbs up playlist and click done, I get a message that says, "There was an error saving the playlist." And the song hasn't deleted. I've tried closing and re-opening the app, but the songs are still there.

I've also tried deleting songs from my playlist on my desktop (a Mac laptop). I have some success in deleting songs, but there is a weird glitch happening where I get to a certain place on my playlist, and a few things happen all at once:

Is there a way to alphabetize all the songs in a playlist? I'm finding I'm adding songs double because they are showing up at the bottom of the list, or somewhere else random, and I'm scrolling past them since they aren't where it makes most sense... Thanks!

I don't understand why there isn't an option to alphabetize your songs within playlists but even more so why it should be something that needs to be voted on in order to make it possible. These are the things that make Pandora stay current and not loose out to Spotify or any other music platform.

While the ability to alphabetize songs within playlists is not currently a feature, upvoting this existing feature request and providing your comments on that thread is the best way to express your interest in getting it added to the service: More sorting options for Premium

It's been years since listeners have asked for this simple feature to avoid having duplicate songs and nothing. How about a feature that says "duplicate" song before adding it to the playlist while using Pandora on a PC? I am a paid subscriber, that would make a nice incentive for those who use Pandora for free to switch to the paid version. Three years now.

Additionally, is it possible that this might be occurring because there is not enough storage on your device?Pandora will never use the last 500MB of storage, so we will only download as many stations as we can before we hit that limit. If it doesn't appear to be storage related, I'd recommend signing out of the app and signing back in, which will reset the download process. Then, make sure to keep Pandora in the foreground of your device while the download completes. If you continue to have trouble, check the download icon for the content you are attempting to download. The two rotating arrows indicate that the content is still in the download process and the highlighted downward pointing arrow means the content has successfully downloaded. If the icon is not highlighted, try downloading the content again and keep the app in the foreground while the offline music downloads. Keep in mind that stations and large playlists take a longer time to download.Lastly, if you are having trouble downloading stations, try downloading a single track for offline listening to see if that works.I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Your Pandora Collection organizes your recently played Stations and playlists as if they are a set of records in a jukebox, which looks really nice. It is also easy to navigate My Collection by filtering it by playlists, Stations, artists, albums, songs, podcasts, or everything. The For You and Search pages are not as attractive, but are still easy to navigate.

First and foremost, Pandora is a music discovery service. Its main feature is Stations which function like radio stations, but are customizable to your liking. Spotify is more of a jack-of-all-trades streaming service; though, both do a great job of curating recommended playlists, and make it easy to find new, related content.

Pandora algorithmically creates Stations for every artist, song, and genre. Once a Station is made, you can customize it by renaming it and adding other artists and songs to base the algorithm off of. You can also thumbs up or thumbs down songs to control what plays on the Station and to save for on-demand playback later. You can even save any Station or playlist to My Collection.

Spotify has a similar functionality to Pandora Stations. Spotify generates Radio for every artist, playlist, and song. Artist and song Radios are static, though, so you cannot customize them through likes or dislikes, but this does mean you can save them to your Spotify library. Playlist Radios, on the other hand, generate new songs as you continue to listen to it and allow you to like or dislike its recommended songs to customize its recommendations. Every playlist you create on Spotify generates a Radio, and you can customize the Radio by adding songs to the playlist. This does mean, however, that you cannot save a playlist Radio to Your Library. While Spotify Radio has similar features to Pandora Stations, Pandora Stations is more diverse and useful.

Spotify also creates editorial playlists which are curated by employees of Spotify. There are hundreds of these being constantly updated, and they span across categories of genre, mood, language, region, record label, activity, artist identity, and more. The Browse tab is easy to navigate and some categories have categories within them, further allowing you to narrow in on what you want to hear. Some categories contain more than just music playlists; for example, the Class of 2020 category features podcasts about graduation as well. Furthermore, your Spotify Home page recommends a few of these editorial playlists based on what it thinks you will like.

Pandora is very similar when it comes to the quality and variety of its curated playlists. It categorizes playlists by mood, genre, time period, activity, and more. Many categories contain more than just music; they include anything relevant to the theme, like relevant Pandora Stories. Additionally, Pandora Stations based on genre and mood function very similarly to curated playlists, but what they play is variable rather than static.

Recently Played Music List (playlist or similar song lists: To find it, you select (expand) the Currently Playing page, which by default is a collapsed toolbar at the bottom of the current page in the mobile app. In the collapsed view it shows (on the left) the current music playing, the "group" or device playing it, and a play/pause and Volume/Mute option. Click to expand it to full page.

The full page view of Currently Playing shows album art, play controls, and at the bottom line on the left is an icon which resembles a paragraph (read: list) with an arrow inset (read: playlist). Click it, you get the music history. From this playlist view you can select an item to play it again, .

The full page view shows current song album art and play controls, and at the bottom left is an icon that looks like a list. Click it, you get the music history. From this playlist view you can select an item to play it again." Yes! It worked.

When viewing Pandora without using voice commands, it shows a list of "recommended" stations that it says is based off your listening history. So, ok, I use Pandora ALL THE TIME, so it should know the stations I listen to the most, right? Wrong... Out of all the stations listed, one I listen to maybe once a month, or less. The rest I haven't listened to in years. This is really frustrating when, for whatever reason, I can't use voice commands, or the station I want Google Nest Hub refuses to bring that up and plays a playlist instead. It was tricky to figure out the order of words in the command to get Alexa to bring up my most listened station using voice commands too, but that's beside the main point.

Other features like replay, skip, pause, play, shuffle, etc. are also available. Some features and playback sources (stations, playlists, podcasts, albums) are available or limited based on the Pandora subscription you are using. See Pandora Subscriptions and the APIs.

The search query can perform full text search queries for any searchable types: album, artist, podcast, podcast episode, playlist, station, station factory, and tracks. The search result will consist of all types specified, but note that using a result as playback source will be limited to the Pandora subscription of the logged in listener. For more information on how subscriptions may affect working with the APIs, see the article Pandora Subscriptions and the APIs. e24fc04721
