Exactly. The worst change in all iOS 17. They also changed the vibration so all apps have the same vibration. I used to recognize apps via the vibration and I knew what is important and what is not only by the vibration. So now I am looking for a way to downgrade because notifications are the BASICS of the phone and they changed it without a chance to customise it back yourself. No thanks.

Dear Apple,After os17 update the notification sound has changed, liked other people are also mentioning and it is becoming very annoying and not able change it make situation more worst. It unnecessarily make us think that what compromise we can face without our consent in the upcoming updates !!

I hate this, but the way I fixed it was shortened a song on my MacBook and made sure i could see it in my Music. Then configure an automation on the iPhone (Shortcuts>Automation) that would set a tone when a certain person texted me - you can also do for specific works as well. I had it set to run automatically, and then tested it out.

I really don't like this change, and because i only had 1 different tone needed for a single person the automation worked. If it was for everyone/Everything - it would totally be a different experience.

Please allow this to be changed. I only have 25% hearing in my left ear and I am unable to hear the new notification sound, especially if my phone is to my left. It's still hard to hear even if it is in a different location. I have missed numerous notifications. Is there a way I can revert to iOS16 until this is fixed?

100% This all the way. The sound is of a low frequency, and it's much more difficult to hear than Tri-Tone, weather it's technically the same volume or not, we must be able to change it to a custom sound , or at the very least have the option of re-enabling Tri-Tone vs rebound.

Anyway I had to get a new phone so since I had a Motorola Android I went ahead and got the Moto Z4 running Android version 10. Everything seemed fine as I was able to piece together much of what I had on my previous phone via my external hard drive and copying the apps from my Google account.

Well that was until I loaded the Ring App and started fine tuning all of the settings for each of my individual devices. And I only even started fooling around with the settings in the Ring App because I kept hearing the standard Ring doorbell and motion alert wind chimes about 60+ times a day for a couple of days which seemed a little odd.

I was used to hearing things like: someone is at your front door or someone is at your back door and motion at floodlight cam or motion at spotlight cam just to name a few. When I went to Device / Device Settings / Alert Settings / App Alert Tones / Motion or Ring Alerts / Advanced / Sound / I have 9 Ring Alert Sounds and 1 Ring Spoken Alert.

I immediately uninstalled the Ring App and reinstalled. I checked permissions. I checked all of the files on the phone hoping the sound files just got misfiled. I searched the community, online, everywhere I could think of. I was for sure Ring would have the sound files online. I could not find anything. Given the number of Ring devices I have the spoken alerts have become indispensable to me and my family.

I could be totally wrong here, but I thought I remembered every time I installed a new device new Ring App Alert Tones automatically showing up in the list of sounds. I just added a new device and nothing new showed up under Alert Tones.

Is there somewhere to download the Ring App Alert Tone sound files including spoken alerts that I lost? If not is there anyone who has a copy of the Ring App Alert Tone sound files including spoken alerts that would be willing to send them to me?

I am having the exact same problem and I also have a moto phone. My old phone was a moto G and the new one is a moto Stylus. I called ring and went threw all the lame attempts with Ring India Customer no service. They couldnt resolve. I will try posting on thier user site on Facebook. Only other thing I can think of is un installing each camera then re-installing them and see if those verbal sounds come back. That should take up a good portion of my day since I have a few cameras! Ring- Never again!!!

I finally resolved issue regarding alert ringtones. My alert tones were on phone. Just unable to get them on Ring app. 1) Internal storage . 2)Ringtones 3)Ring 4) audio. Copie any or all of the ring tones. Then move them to notifications folder back from the internal storage you started from. Than check your ring app. They should appear there. If not reinstall Ring app. Good luck folks. This drive me crazy that Amazon Ring nor Samsung could help. Happy new year all.

There really needs to be a way to change the Ring Alarm notification sound (iOS App) that the alarm has been tripped and is going off. Exactly the same way you can change it for camera and sensor notifications. I would love to have that sound be as annoying as a siren so I take notice ASAP instead of the current non-changeable sound.

I have just installed the ring alarm this week and had a alarm triggered and surprised there is no option on IPhone to custom assign a sound to a alarm trigger incident like the doorbell . Surely thus us a oversight? No one is looking their phones 24x7

You may also think about using a 3rd Party App like MacroDroid to automatically turn your phone to full volume, bypass DND, disable vibrate, and play a unique notification tone for each individual Cam and type of notification (person, pet, vehicle, etc.) when those Push Notifications are received.

Sorry I miswrote! I get text notifications for arming, disarming, lost/regained connection and secret alerts. NOT outdoor camera motion. It would be nice if all this was well laid out/documented/available to read. Just a push alert for camera motion.

Maybe a new system alert SMS Recipient togglable category or a specific individual camera setting to text with motion detection or a motion "secret alert". Currently motion notifications "on" only provides a push notification.

Pexip Infinity can automatically play a sound when a participant joins or leaves a conference. These entry and exit tones are disabled by default, but you can enable them on selected services using themes.

Entry and exit tones are applied using themes. To enable entry or exit tones for a particular Virtual Meeting Room or Virtual Auditorium, you must ensure that the theme used for that service includes the following files:

By default, entry and exit tones are not played, as the Base theme contains "empty" entry and exit tone files. However, Pexip Infinity also ships with a selection of preconfigured themes, some of which contain entry and exit tones in the .wav files listed above.

The Base theme contains empty entry and exit tone files, and is shipped as the default theme. This means that by default, entry and exit tones will not be played. You can download and copy the empty entry and exit tone files from the Base theme and use them in any custom themes you create for which you don't want to include entry and exit tones. Some of the preconfigured themes also contain empty entry and exit tone files.

If you apply a theme that does not include these files (rather than including empty files), Pexip Infinity will instead use the entry and exit tone files from the theme that has been selected as the default theme.

I've recently downloaded new ringtones onto my Galaxy S7 and have assigned them to different people in my contacts. I also use Verizon Messenger+ as my default. The issue is when I receive a text from the people I have assigned a custom notification sound, it plays the Verizon Alert tone. How do I make it so that it plays the specific ringtone I have assigned to those select few and for all the others it will play the Verizon Alert? When I use regular messenger, I don't have this problem.

This has to be done in the Messages app. To do this, open the app. On the conversation window of the contact, touch the contacts name. In the right corner tap the 3 dots. From the drop down menu, select Customize. Scroll down to Tones. Choose the tone you want assigned to the contact. This will assign the specific tone to that contact.

I have an xperia 1 ii. Since the past 2 days (i think it was after the sony update) all my sound settings have changed. The alarm is something totally different, the ringtone is not working, and the notification tone is different too.

When i go in settings to change them it shows my original sound settings and plays them too without any problems, however when the alarm/notification/ringtone actually goes off it's not what the settings has.

I did a hard reset (volume up and power button) and when phone turned on set the alarm for a minute and it worked with the correct tone but then after trying the alarm again it was the wrong one again.

So I went on to delete almost every app that I didn't use, and still, unfortunately it was the same. However I decided to delete Google apps, in particular its 'clock' app update which resolved the alarm clock problem. Now the alarm is what I set it to and loud.

After deleting a lot of google apps or uninstalling their updates the ringtone worked as well now (was no sound at all before) to the tone I selected however the volume is very low. When I play it while selecting the tone it's loud as it should be, but when the phone actually rings its quite low volume (even after putting volume on full). 152ee80cbc
