Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)#gap-2089520159 { padding-top: 26px;}What Is Adobe Lightroom?Adobe Lightroom is a photo editing software used by photographers to edit your photos digitally while also allowing photographers to organize their photos quickly and efficiently allowing them to edit more photos in a shorter amount of time. Within the Lightroom software is the preset panel where users can edit photos with custom or saved photography presets.

There are several different versions of Lightroom that require slightly different installation methods to import or load photo Lightroom presets into the relevant version. Each method basically has you installing (importing or copying and pasting) the presets into the application folder or importing directly from inside the Lightroom Presets Panel. A thing to note is that there are slightly different locations depending on the type of computer you are using, but the method is very similar. Links to the install methods for each version of Lightroom are included on our install page linked below.

Using Lightroom presets is very easy and takes just a few minutes to learn and become comfortable in Lightroom and with applying and then customizing the Lightroom presets using the sliders, if needed, to each image. Try each Lightroom preset to see how it changes your image. You can then adjust any of the Lightroom preset sliders that you want to adjust the image further. We have created video tutorials for all of our photo preset collections and they are included on each product page. Please watch several of the tutorials to become comfortable editing your images with the Lightroom presets.

As a portrait photographer / model photographer, I was interested to try the Lumix S5 camera with a variety of lenses. I split this article down by lens mount and at the end I share the Lightroom presets for the Lumix S5 camera that I use. All photos in the blog post were shot with the Panasonic Lumix S5 with the featured Lightroom presets applied.

For all my other Lightroom preset packs for Leica cameras I had two B&W and one colour. With the Lumix S5 I seem to be shooting a lot more colour so I had to narrow it down to four LR presets. Two colour, two black and white. This means when you buy the Lightroom Presets for Lumix S5 you get the standard 3 presets + 1 free!

I developed these Lightroom presets to give me photos that I am happy with from the Panasonic Lumix S5 camera despite being a Leica shooter. As many of the Panasonic Lumix S cameras have a similar sensor, say the Lumix S1 for example, these presets should give you a great starting point for any Lumix S camera.

Please note I also have Panasonic Lumix GH5 presets available as I used the Lumix GH5 before getting the full frame Lumix S5. Write to me if you would like them made available to download too.

This software has many tools to turn your normal photos into wonderful photos and you can edit your photos with just one click using Lightroom presets.

So guys I hope you like this article on Snapseed and Lightroom. Background, PNG and Lightroom presets on this website will be very useful for you. So, I have a request for you, please subscribe to our YouTube channel.

I was able to import all my presents from Lightroom Classic, to Lightroom CLOUD. I did this to use my presets on my mobile devices. Right now I have access to all these presents on my iPhone with no problems, but I am not sure if I can even use them on my iPad Pro.

I was wondering if one of you might be able to help me as I'm a little confused. I'm looking to make a preset pack to share with friends and followers and hit this error message when trying to use my presets for testing.

Here are my steps:

- I've created my presets off the back of RAW images imported into Lightroom. (Mainly, Canon and Lumix RAW photos)

- When attempting to use a preset for the first time on a picture that wasn't taken on either Canon or Lumix, I get the following error message appear: "This preset includes a profile that was made for a different camera which cannot be applied to this photo. All of the compatible enhancements from this preset will be applied to your photo"

My question is:

Is this normal, expected behaviour? If I were to purchase a preset pack from another creator, would I get the same error message if they had created their presets using an image from a camera I do not own? Or is there some form of profile workaround for this problem to avoid this prompt appearing should anyone else download my preset? I'm looking to make my preset pack "universal" and not "camera specific".

Many thanks,

Kyle

Hi @Victoria Bampton LR Queen,

Thanks so much for your swift response, I appreciate it.

With regards to the profile section at the point of preset creation, I believe I had "Adobe Colour" set as a default and in fact I had not chosen to modify this setting, I believe it was already set to that when I made my presets.

If the profile isn't included, then the resulting look of the preset could change quite dramatically depending on what they already have selected, so most developers use Adobe Color as the standard and just say the presets are designed for raw photos. There are very few raw files that don't have an Adobe Color profile.

As you have mentioned, I could simply remove the profile and in my tests, that solves the problem for me. But this does open me up to other users default Lightroom settings and that would wildly change the effect of my presets as a result as you mentioned.

I dont know if this is a dumb question but I know nothing about LR and the presets. My wife has recently gotten into it and we have been having a discussion from a story we heard from a photographer.

This photographer bought someone presets and used them, with some tweaks. Several years later, she had changed the setting so much that they looked completely different but she decided to sell her presets. Since she originally used the preset she bought and tweaked them from there, can she get in trouble for using the presets she bought as the starting ground for the presets she sold. The files are different. (she is selling .XMP and originally downloaded .LRTEMPLATE)

Can this photographer get into any trouble form the person she originally bought the preset from. I don't think she can since all presets are are settings in a software that was created by Adobe. She cant own these settings. Just wondering if anyone had some knowledge they could share.!

I have Lightroom CC installed on two computers and I use the mobile app on my iPhone. I use two VSCO preset packs. These VSCO preset packs have been duplicated on both of my devices and in the mobile app. This makes using the presets much more time consuming because I have to scroll through twice as many. The only way to get rid of the duplicates seems to be deleting each one individually. The other option seems to involve deleting my entire LR catalog online. Neither of these solutions make any sense and Adobe needs to provide a legitimate solution to this issue. 17dc91bb1f
