Libby, by Overdrive (Library to Go) Opens in New Window 

Borrow ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines to read on your phone or tablet using the Libby app by OverDrive. You can even send and read your borrowed ebooks to your Kindle ereader.

Through the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (GLS) and cooperating libraries, Georgians have access to a free national library program that lends books and magazines in audio format or Braille.

It has thousands of popular eBook, eAudiobook, and digital magazine titles that you can read or listen to on most current mobile devices, tablets, phones, or your computer. The library purchases copies of these titles from OverDrive, the largest and leading national provider of eBooks and eAudiobooks to libraries.

Searchable full text copies of over 8,000 online books. The basic collection primarily includes ebooks in the fields of computer science, engineering, and technology. The publicly accessible portion of the collection includes classic works of literature and history, as well as speeches, government documents, and other resources pulled form sites such as Project Gutenberg and the Alex Catalogue of Electronic Texts.

THE CITY LIBRARY CATALOG: Libby items are listed in The City Library's catalog and can be checked out or placed on hold directly from the catalog. When you find a Libby item in the catalog that you want to check out or place on hold, simply click the CHECK OUT or PLACE HOLD button next to the item (you will need to be logged into your library account in order to do so).

While you can't recommend titles to your library in Libby quite yet, Libby is working on a feature that will let you express interest in any title in the OverDrive catalog. If a title you're interested in is purchased by one of your libraries, you'll receive a push notification in Libby.

eBook subscription database (over 12,000 titles) to support multiple subject areas (English Language Arts, Science, Math, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, Information Literacy, and Technology). If you need help getting started, ProQuest has instruction videos (Grades 9+). The first time you access this eBook collection you must do it at the library and establish a personal login. Thereafter you can use your personal login to access the eBooks remotely from anywhere.

Palace Project is our new e-reading app. The app provides library cardholders access to the entire Folsom Public Library eBook collection and a wide selection of digital materials from the California State Library. 


The Overdrive collection is currently being loaded in the Palace Project App. Enki and our School eBooks are already loaded into the app. The Palace Project app is available through Apple and Android app stores. This document explains how to get started.

NOTE: Beginning in August 2022, daily spending thresholds have been applied for the hoopla service. If you receive a message on hoopla or within the hoopla app that the library's daily borrow limit has been reached, you will not be able to borrow the item(s) until the following day; the borrow limit resets at midnight and you can add titles to a favorites list for easy access to borrow them later.

Your library card and PIN allow you to download ebooks, audiobooks, and movies suited for all ages. You may download up to 10 items at once. Plus, Lakeland users have access to ADVANTAGE titles on OverDrive.

Libby by Overdrive offers both popular fiction and non-fiction ebooks and audiobooks and over 3000 popular magazines. With your FCPL library card, check out up to 10 OverDrive titles and unlimited magazine titles for up to 3 weeks at a time. You can place holds on up to 10 materials already checked out.

Enjoy unlimited access to thousands of graphic novels, manga and comics from a variety of library-friendly publishers. The Comics Plus Full Catalog allows you to access content for all ages, including adult content.

Project Gutenberg is the first free eBook library and hosts over 42,000 previously published books for download or online reading. Project Gutenberg is accessible via computer, ereader, or mobile device.

Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows Harry A. Sprague Library patrons to request books and media from other libraries. Materials can be requested using our EZBorrow service or request forms, materials of which will be delivered to the Sprague Library for you to pick up.

Magzter Digital Library Edition provides access to hundreds of digital magazines. Can also be downloaded for Apple and Android mobile devices. Users must enter a valid email address and library card number.

Ebsco provides access to a collection of ebooks, electronic versions of printed books that can be viewed on a computer connected to the Internet. You will find topics such as business, investing, computers, travel and much more.

Note - this resource does not provide access to the entire enki library collection, just titles where the license allows for everyone to be able to use them at the same time (no waiting!) It uses geolocation to provide access to anyone physically located in the state of California.

Calibre can be useful for any ebook reader who wants to read ebooks from varied sources, and keep the books they own in an online library designed for reader needs. The free, open-source app works on a computer (not your phone or tablet). Once you have Calibre on your computer, you can read on that device or transfer books in your library on and off your phone or tablet as you like. Keep your own notes about each book and make your own rating system. Organize your library as you prefer.

For users not physically located within Fort Bend County, a profile will need to be created. Go to create a profile page and fill out the form. Then, if Fort Bend County Libraries doesn't show up, go to "Add / Remove Libraries" and add it. You will then be prompted to add your library barcode (no spaces). This same profile also allows access to Pressbooks.

Hoopla offers eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, television shows, and music albums to stream or download onto your device. There are materials available for all ages! Selecting the 'Kids Mode' will limit results to children's content only. All items are available for immediate check out. There are no hold lists, which means no waiting for your favorite materials! With your library card you receive ten Hoopla borrows per month.

Project Gutenberg is a volunteer effort to archive and digitize cultural works. It was founded in 1971, and is the oldest digital library. Most of the items in its collection are full texts of public domain books. The project tries to make these materials as free as possible, in long-lasting, open formats that can be used on almost any computer. St. Louis Public Library has made Project Gutenberg titles available through its catalog, where you can directly download them to your computer or mobile device.
