So in 2022, the only films which have been termed at least as Hit, are : Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dr. Strange 2, KGF 2, RRR and The Kashmir Files. Only 2 of them are from Bollywood : BB2 and TKF. Rakshabandhan and Laal Singh Chadda are ongoing, and still many films to come before the year ends, however only two Bolly films going well among the audience in almost 8 months is certainly not a good sign. However, it is not totally correct to say that the Bollywood audience has shifted to South Indian cinema / Hollywood, and that's the reason why Bolly films are not doing well.....as only 2 South films and 1 Hollywood film were successful so far in 2022, which is not really a threatening number.....given that all three them were a massive scale movies, and were expected to be hits even pre pandemic era.
End of stardom era of Bollywood?
To a good extent yes. The stardom which once the Khans et al used to have, is no longer worshipped by the audience. There were a lot of so-so ish movies which were successful just because of the star power. People's taste has changed now, and they want good content, rather than just stardom.

Bollywood no longer "cool" among the youth
Gone are those days when Bollywood movies/dialogues/scenes were considered to be cool among the teens & youth (at least the urbans). That has been replaced by English movies/series, and Bollywood has started to be taken as cringe.
