Nutrition Assistance provides eligible households with monthly benefits they can use to purchase nutritious food. By helping families fight food insecurity and meet one of their fundamental needs, they can focus on overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency.

The Restaurant Meals Program allows certain Nutrition Assistance (NA) participants to use their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card to purchase prepared meals from participating restaurants. This may also include the deli section of a participating grocery store. This program is available to an NA household if every person in the household meets one or more of the following conditions:

Once you are approved for SNAP, you will get your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card in the mail. Your monthly benefit will be loaded on this card. You can check the Monthly EBT benefit schedule to see what day your benefit will be loaded to your card every month. You will also be able to get help with employment and job training through the SkillUP Program at no cost to you.

If you lose food purchased with your EBT card due to a power outage caused by weather, ice storm, fire, flood, tornado or other household misfortune outside your control, you may request a SNAP benefit replacement. To report a loss and begin the process of receiving replacement benefits, you must complete and submit an Online Replacement Request within 10 days of the event. You may also print the Replacement Request Form and submit it by fax (573) 526-9400 or mail to: Family Support Division, P.O. Box 2700, Jefferson City, MO 65102.

Electronically Stolen Benefits is defined as benefits stolen without your permission while your EBT card is in your possession (card skimming, card cloning, phishing scams, or other similar fraud methods). To report a loss and begin the process of receiving replacement benefits, you must complete and submit an Electronically Stolen Benefit Replacement Request form within 10 days of the event. You may also print the Electronically Stolen Benefit Replacement Request and submit it by fax (573) 526-9400 or mail to: Family Support Division, P.O. Box 2700, Jefferson City, MO 65102.

The Georgia Food Stamp Program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), is a federally-funded program that provides monthly benefits to low-income households to help pay for the cost of food. A household may be one (1) person living alone, a family, or several unrelated individuals cohabitating who routinely purchase and prepare meals together.

Constituents who have lost food purchased with SNAP (Food Stamp) Benefits due to weather disasters (ice storm, fire, flood, tornado or other household misfortune) may request replacement of those SNAP benefits. Constituents that experience a food loss due to power outages of four hours or more may receive replacement benefits within 10 days after the report of a loss.

Per SNAP policy, recipients are required to report the loss of food to the local DFCS office and complete an affidavit, Food Loss Replacement Form (Form 841) verifying the amount of loss. Customers have 10 days after the loss to submit that form.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is here to ensure Tennesseans have the tools they need to become financially stable and uses Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to deliver benefits. Customers and businesses that use and accept benefits using EBT cards are strongly encouraged to review preventative measures and reporting practices to stop the theft of benefits. We want to make it easy for you to use your FoodShare benefits. Your Wisconsin QUEST card is a safe and easy way to buy your food. Your QUEST card is a plastic debit card. It has your name, card number, and the Wisconsin QUEST logo on it.

When you go shopping, look for signs at the store or farmers market to see if they accept EBT payments. When you check out, pay by swiping your QUEST card at the register. You will need to enter your PIN (personal identification number).

A temporary card is for FoodShare households that need immediate access to their benefits and cannot wait for a permanent card to come in the mail. Requesting a temporary QUEST card does not guarantee that a temporary card will be issued.

A temporary card will stop working after 30 days or after a new permanent QUEST card is activated, whichever comes first. The same day a temporary card is issued, a new permanent QUEST card will be requested for you. It will be sent to the address that is on file for you.

Once a temporary card is issued, another permanent card will be put in the mail. When that permanent card arrives, you will need to activate it to start using it. Once you do that, the temporary card will be deactivated.

FoodShare benefits continue to be a target for fraud. FoodShare fraud can result in you losing the money in your account, which may prevent you from being able to buy food with your FoodShare benefits. It is important that you take steps to protect your identify and your benefits.

If your EBT card has not yet arrived, you can go to the Brooklyn OTC site for your permanent card, or one of seven open center locations for a temporary card that will have all benefits available until the EBT card arrives. Please see this list of locations.
