Shape icons in a process are a visual indicator of a shape's configuration and current processing. You can use shape icons to quickly review the functionality and progress of a process without having to open the individual shapes.

Architecture diagrams are a great way to communicate your design, deployment, and topology. On this page you will find an official collection of AWS Architecture Icons (formerly Simple Icons) that contain AWS product icons, resources, and other tools to help you build diagrams.

Customers and partners are permitted by AWS to use the resources below to create architecture diagrams. The icons are designed to be simple so that you can easily incorporate them in your diagrams and put them in your whitepapers, presentations, datasheets, posters, or any technical material.

When creating the flow diagram, you may employ a variety ofequipment. We have compiled a list of equipment icons which arecommonly used in CENG 403 projects. These icons may be brought up andput on the flowsheet from the bottom of the main Aspen window. Thisis the way the bottom part of the screen looks when you first createa new blank window:

Note that there are nine different categories of units shownas "Tabs". The first category: Mixers/Splitters comes up as beingselected when the window first opens, but you can select any of theothers with the left button. Each of the categories then has severaltypes of units shown as icons below the name of the category. Thethree types in the first category are the mixer and two types ofsplitters. The default icon for these is simply a box with the nameshown below it. If you click on one of the icons, it will becomelighter in color and you can then make a copy of it in the blankwindow by clicking at any position in the window. You can continue toadd that same unit by additional clicks in the flowsheet space. Forexample clicking three times in the flowsheet after selecting theMixer icon might produce:

If you click on one of the icons it will be selected ( the cornerswill have colored squares on them and black squares will citcle theicon) and you can then do several things to it. Click the rightbutton to bring up a menu that lists the operations and select amongthe one you want:

Providing icons of various sizes for application development can be a tedious task. The built in icon scaling code in Windows does not do a great job when downscaling icons from e.g. 32 to 16 pixel sizes. The ANKHOR FlowSheet application uses a variety of full colour icons with transparency for its user interface that have to be available in 32, 24 and 16 pixel sizes each.

We tried various programs to automate the task of creating good looking icons in various sizes, but with not much success. The source artwork is usually available in PNG format, and has to be imported into an icon conversion program. This will then either need the other sizes as well, or generates them by scaling.

The FlowSheet shows all loaded and generated icons in the dashboard to allow direct visual inspection, whether the resulting images are of an acceptable quality or require a hand drawn scaled down version.

Helping our customers design and architect new solutions is core to the Azure Architecture Center's mission. Architecture diagrams like those included in our guidance can help communicate design decisions and the relationships between components of a given workload. On this page you'll find an official collection of Azure architecture icons including Azure product icons to help you build a custom architecture diagram for your next solution.

Microsoft permits the use of these icons in architectural diagrams, training materials, or documentation. You may copy, distribute, and display the icons only for the permitted use unless granted explicit permission by Microsoft. Microsoft reserves all other rights.

You can also add icons in place of the actual shapes and symbols to visualize components. This is especially useful in system diagram flowcharts, where you can add icons of computers, cloud, firewalls, switches, routers and more.

To add custom icons open the icon picker and select the "Custom Icons" tab.

Mac and Windows:Click on "Edit Icons". This enables the edit mode. Use "Add" to select one or more images. Click "Edit Icons" again to exit the edit mode. iPad&iPhone: Tap "Edit Custom Icons". This opens the custom icon editor. On the top toolbar tap "+" to add a new icon, for example from the camera roll. Tap "Back" to exit the custom icons editor.Android: Use the commands in the top toolbar: "Image from Gallery", "Take a small picture" or "Image from file".SimpleMind reduces custom icons to a maximum of 240 pixels wide or high.

The icon inspector has four tabs to easily select icons. The first tab show recently used icons and all icons in this mind map. The second tab show the defaults icons, the third emojis and the last one shows your custom icons.

Ā If you need this icon available in another format, it should be pretty straight forward to download it as an SVG image file, and then import it into apps like Illustrator, Pablo, RelayThat or Visme. Converting it to an ICO, JPEG or WebP image format or file type should also be pretty simple (we hope to add that feature to Iconduck soon).
