If you encounter an issue during the beta release cycle, submit feedback right away to increase the likelihood that the issue will be addressed by the public release.

In the latest (2nd) release of 10.15 beta, the Feedback Assistant is not working. It will not let me create a new issue. Also, the feedback assistant on the website will not accept a bug report either. I need to report a bug in 10.14.5 and without the Apple Bug Reporter, there is no way to do it.

This opened the FA application v4.6 (path /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications, dated 9.16.19, which is when I installed Catalina, I think) on my mac, and I'm able to send feedback for both release and betas, all platforms, sans, beta installs and/or profile hoop jumping...

On the Mac, the app is installed, but tucked away. KMT gave you the path, but the easiest way to find it is to use Spotlight (Command-Space, type "feedback"). If you've ever installed a macOS beta (from this page: ), then an alias to the app will be in your Applications/Utilities subfolder, and the icon will also be put in your dock.

You're still helping to shape the tools/OSs, but now, where your feedback may have been relatively unique in years gone by, it could be more common, and in many cases simply redundant, which has value in the aggregate, of course, so we shouldn't feel like were not having any effect regardless if we just go about our work or actively ping the FA.

However, manually collecting, reviewing and drawing conclusions from feedback is time consuming, inconsistent and difficult to translate into improvements to your events, activations and onsite experiences. Until now.

In accordance with the global trend, in The Netherlands approximately 45% of the population is overweight. Existing studies show that patient self-management can reduce these figures, but medical non-adherence is a persistent problem. eHealth can potentially increase adherence to self-management. Consequently, we designed a persuasive computer assistant and evaluated its influence on self-management, i.e., the use of an online lifestyle diary called DieetInzicht.nl. The assistant is represented by an animated iCat, which shows different facial expressions and provides cooperative feedback following principles from the motivational interviewing method. We conducted a randomized controlled trial with 118 overweight people over a period of four weeks and studied the difference between diary use with and without computer assistant feedback. Results show that the computer assistant contributed to filling in the diary more frequently, reduced the decline in motivation to perform self-management, lowered the (reported) BMI, and improved the ease of use. Furthermore, diary use increased knowledge of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Finally, personal characteristics, i.e., locus of control, vocabulary, computer experience, age, gender, education level and initial BMI, explained the variance in the diary use and its outcome. Of the 118 participants 35 filled in the closing survey, covering motivation, BMI, lifestyle knowledge and ease of use, which implies that the findings based on these results are mainly representative for motivated participants. In general, this study shows that the Dieetinzicht eHealth service, including a personal computer assistant, is likely to support motivated overweight people and lifestyle related diseases to get a better insight in and adhere to their self-management. ff782bc1db
