Restart your computer in Normal Mode. The uninstaller writes a log of all its processes to the ~ESETUninstaller.log file (located in the same folder as the ESETUninstaller.exe file) for future reference.

If installation rolls back, it's usually due to a problem with certain registry keys or values. Please run LiveInstaller and send me the install log %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp\eset\liveinstaller_[date][time].log attached to a personal message for further analysis if the install fails.

I delete all eset registry.... and still the problem.

I resolved by format and reinstall windows. The only way I found.

I'm a computer technician and I Know what I do.

I got Technician licence in 2004 and perfect 10 on class.

I'm a software tester in all instalations and see how to work.

ESET is the best antivirus...... But this time, the installation got bad.

I'm sorry for my report but the truth is more better.

For me, the only way to remove the ESS beta or the standalone EAV beta, was to use the Eset uninstaller tool listed above. I had then no problems with removing the AV, but sometimes I lost connectivity with the removal of the ESS.

If I have to use an uninstaller I would use hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2289/#Windows10

But I would like to have confirmation that it will actually work and that there is no other way.

Since this is a beta product and it is about Windows 10.

Besides that I submitted a support request to Customer Care. No answer yet.

When you asked about the uninstaller tool, you did find the right one - please follow the KB Instructions on how to uninstall ESS from Windows 10 (with the right tool and specified instructions for Windows 10): hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2289/#Windows10

Hello,

My ESET Antivirus have that yellow disclaimer for few days now so I've seen notification about my version (8.0.2028) expiration date in November 22, is this going to stand there until November?

I've tried to fix by installing version 9, but i can't do it. Whenever I try to uninstall older version or install new, I get error message.

"We cannot find the installation of ESET Endpoint Antivirus in Windows Installer Database. After Clicking OK, ESET Install Helper will run to restore ESET Endpoint Antivirus entries."

Canceling doesn't do anything, clicking OK gets me to another "ESET Endpoint Antivirus restore unsuccessful where I can click only on "Finish".

Tried to use esetuninstaller.exe from Safe mode but I all got was another error message that this software doesn't support my version of Windows (Windows 10 Pro, 21H2)

Tried to uninstall by using command prompt as administrator and running msiexec /X (with software code from regedit) but that didn't help me too.

What else can I try?

Ok seeing as the version i updated to V11.1.47.0 Wasn't working correctly i thought i would completely uninstall it and start again, after uninstalling using windows uninstaller i was going to then boot into safe mode, and use the uninstaller tool but it would not boot into safe mode or normal mode, I attempted a startup repair but the z170 chipset and Win7 usb, no keyboard or mouse to be able to select and excute it, so i opted to use system restore , and it was bootable again, (blue screens signified data corruption on the HDD ?????) what is going on eset? I currently have version 11.1.42.1 which is not activated, last time i do an in-place upgrade , so what i want to know is the best way of removing this non working version without rendering my pc unbootable again????????????????????????

I just did an uninstall of ESET Smart Security Premium on a Win 7 x64 system using the Windows uninstaller from Programs & Features and had the same issue. The desktop was completely void of anything to include the start button and menu bar.

In my case, the Eset uninstaller indicated it encountered an error. A popup was presented with the only option being to cancel. When I did so, the result was that Eset was not fully uninstalled. All its directories were removed for the most part but Windows Defender Security Center indicated Eset was still the realtime protection and firewall. I also could not activate Windows Defender realtime protection because of this. Luckily for me a reboot straightened things out allowing me to activate WD realtime protection. Once that was done, I downloaded and installed a prior Eset version w/o issue.

I had to use system restore to restore my PC in order for it to boot into windows again, the BSOD was saying some bs about corruption on the disk and to run chdisk, lol, i was unable to perform a start up repair due in part to it being a z170 board running win 7, no keyboard control to be able to select it, so i'm back to the unworking prior to 11.1.47.0 the nonscanning version that was pushed by eset servers what i want to know is this how can i uninstall this borked version without losing the use of my PC or having to re install win7 ? BTW the PC shutdown normally before initiating a restart, so ???? and i uninstalled via the windows control panel, as i have done with previous versions

Just tried uninstalling again same result unbootable PC this time i used the option in the ESET menu after pressing start all programs, So i have a borked product on my machine that i cannot cleanly remove and it renders my pc unbootable, why is reset releasing such problematic software

I have tried uninstalling this .... normally and ended up with a pc that won't boot into windows even safe mode, the only thing i am able to do uninstalling from windows is to restore my pc to before i tried uninstalling it, as a result, the version has rolled back to the bugged version 11.1.42.1 it does appear that eset is not unregistering this driver/service properly but deleting the actual file causing the BSOD at boot , I may try this method next just uninstall in safe mode using the eset uninstal tool hopefully that will unregister these drivers/services properly, is there any way i can check it has before restarting ? so i can confirm

First, you need to download the Eset uninstaller from here: . It has to be run in Win Safe mode. Before you run the uninstaller, thoroughly read and make sure you understand all posted in the KB article.

I decided to ring support, who after me explaining things to them, removed eset 11.1.42.1 broken version, By manually stopping eset and using a prog to delete all the necessary reg entries and then running the uninstaller tool in none safe mode and i was FREE from it, Upon installing the version 11.0.59.9 the firewall module was not working, because a driver failed to instal correctly, so some more remnants of the broken version or other versions along with reg entries and then uninstalled with normal installer this time, re installed again, now working

Anyway... I think is necessary to find a solution to make the installer start, without having to type special commands... because not all people have that patience, and having a lot of free antiviruses online or even the windows defender, I guess many frustrated users would uninstall the NOD32 and go to other free solution.

As for disabling UAC, I don't think simply disabling it would solve permission issues, quite the contrary. Once upon a time I ran into this issue (not sure if it was with ESET or another product) and since I didn't want to be bothered by UAC prompts and disabling UAC caused other permission issues, I had to resort to reinstalling the OS as there must have been something terribly wrong with UAC. I've found this issue to be reported with other software as well, for instance hxxp://superuser.com/questions/545569/disabling-uac-on-windows-8-causing-issues-with-installations.

The ESET Uninstaller is a tool that allows you to remove ESET products that you are not able to uninstall through normal methods. This tool performs a manual removal of ESET products that it detects on your computer. To use the uninstaller, simply download it and then double-click on ESETUninstaller.exe. This will open a black Windows that will prompt you on how to continue.

Yea, i gave them a call and fixed it. We did an uninstall in safemode using the uninstaller. After that we re-installed the software. Now this didnt fix the problem we where having. But apparently services where running in diagnostic mode & selective mode and the ESET entry was disabled.

You can completely remove third-party anti-virus applications from your computer using popular uninstallers. An uninstaller is an application designed specifically to remove other applications. This method allows you to completely remove third-party anti-virus applications from your computer, but requires you to install the uninstaller tool beforehand.

If you have already removed Eset in another way, you can determine if Eset left remains on your Mac. Just switch to the Remaining Files section, and you will find them there. Select and remove unneeded junk files.

App Cleaner & Uninstaller is an easy Eset remover. However, you are not quite done yet. You can use this app even if you want just to reset Eset.

We have pretty good KB instructions for the troubleshooting wizard as well, hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2899/#wizard, let us know if that doesn't work so we can make sure we have the most relevant content updated there to help with issues like these.

I want to add to this thread and post that after 9.0.375.0 came out, I have had nothing but problems. Windows Store Apps will not update "all" of them. My Second Life "Game" keeps saying it found a Degrade in Performance and locks up. My printer, my WD Cloud HDD, and other stuff are getting BLOCKED! I have hit unblock but they just block it again. I have uninstalled, used the eset uninstaller, did a clean install of Windows 10 and nothing wants to work properly unless I just uninstall eset and leave it off the computer. This needs to get fixed asap! 2351a5e196
