New Delhi: To encourage consumers to use digital payments for electricity bill, Reliance Power-owned BSES Rajdhani Power and BSES Yamuna Power on Wednesday offered cashbacks on payments made through wallets till 31 March.
Apart from e-wallets, consumers can also pay their electricity bills conveniently at over 4,000 locations, through a wide spectrum of options, including BSES drop boxes, credit & debit cards, net banking, auto debit, neighbourhood Easy Bill, Money N Mobile and Oxigen outlets, ITZ Cash Cards, Bill Payment Kiosks, cheque in mail facility & RTGS/NEFT through banks for Key consumers, said a BSES spokesperson.
Consumers with the due date of their electricity bill in April 2017 are also eligible to participate, provided they pay their bills by 31 March, 2017. This has been done so that maximum consumers can benefit from this move.
Though the solar power system is connected to the grid, the consumer has to pay only for the surplus electricity he consumes. The bill generated on a monthly basis determines whether the consumer has any payments to be made.
