Raspberry 2 &3 are really powerfull and able to run heavy applications. Since more people are moving to raspberry and its chinese clones with 2-4gb ram, i think it will be a good idea to invest the building of issabel pbx for raspberry as well.

There alternates such as raspberry asterisk, but they lack the simplicity of issabels's pbx functionality. It lacks the look and feel of Issabel.

also think so, but very understand it would need lots of time/work on it since ARM structure is different from x86 and elastix/ issabel at base on centos while raspberry pi used debain. Perhaps developer could provide a way to mannually install issabel on debian as Freepbx did.

There is a port of centos for arm and i have installed it. It works perfect in RPI.

This is the reason i am asking if possible to migrate Issabel PBX to Raspberry.

You can get a look over here how to install it

any news on porting Issabel PBX to arm, since Centos already supports it.

Apart from the RPI4 with 4GB of ram, as of yesterday there is a new one with 8GB RAM. Comparing to the old Elastix in arm (1G it was sufficient to for a small office home office (Soho) for about 5 users without transcoding. Imagine the new processors and the more RAM 8GB.

Can we have a try to port it to ARM now?

In Raspberry Pi 2, 3, 3+, Zero W works great. I tested with Raspbian [Debian] 9.x and 10.x for official support. Notice that some packets can't installed because of different architectures (ARM - 64 bit) maybe you can install it manually, so be careful about your security and stability. You can use CloudFlare or another firewalls to hide and protect your raspberry with some custom firewall rules, page rules, etc...

Elastix is a Fiji plugin that wraps elastix into a graphical user interface. elastix is a collection of algorithms that are commonly used to solve image registration problems. Both 2D and 3D as well as multi-channel registrations are supported. Several rigid (translation, Euler, similarity, and affine) as well as locally deformable (BSpline) registrations are supported. For more information please visit the GitHub README.

There is Elastix REST API solution that written in PHP with no dependencies required.elastix-api also you could check a document on how to install it beside Elastix server, contains important functions such as:

I have been using asterisk for a while along with recently getting a raspberry pi. I would love to use this on my POTS home phone. Do you happen to know of any suitable USB device that would work with the pi to allow me to connect up my home line?

I just read this:

I ran away from elastix and now using freepbx. Since elastix 3 the direction was not clear to me anymore and I decided to find an alternative. I would advise anyone still running elastix to stick with 2.5. ff782bc1db
