Remember when Edge used to come out to Rob Zombie's hit single "Never Gonna Stop"? Have you ever wondered why he used it in the first place, why it was discontinued, and why and how he ended up with his iconic entrance theme "Metalingus" by Alter Bridge?

"Replacing 'Never Gonna Stop' wasn't my choice. The copyright ran out on Never Gonna Stop. And the way that started is, I tore my labrum in my shoulder, but I didn't get surgery, so I ended up having a month off. So I threw a shot in the dark. I always hated that 'You Think You Know Me' music because it never fit me and what I actually listen to. I had actually said that I wanted to use this Black Label Society song and they were like, 'Okay, well here's our version of it.' And it just sounded like a bad ripoff with this cheesy voice. The guys that did Big Show's music and they did this version of Black Label and it was just not good. It just sounded like a bad ripoff. Rob Zombie, he had a new album coming out, 'Can we get this?' A shot in the dark. Next week, they brought me a copy of the CD, The Sinister Urge, and I was just like, 'Oh, really? Holy s--t!' I didn't think that was gonna happen. So I had four tracks and they said the album hasn't been released, so you can't let anybody hear this. And I said, 'Okay. Never Gonna Stop.' I come back from an injury, that makes sense. So I used it, really, really liked it. And then when I came back from the neck injury, they were like, 'Okay, well we can't use it.' And also if you watch DVDs, it's never on the DVDs. So they piped in my original music.

"When I was out with my neck injury, I met Mark Tremonti. I met him at a Metallica show, actually. And I went back to his place after and he played me what would end up being the first Alter Bridge album. I heard Metalingus and I was like, 'Dude, can I use that when I come back?' And he said, 'Yeah! Of course!" So that ended up being the genesis of it and when I heard it, it was actually Mark singing. It hadn't been Myles yet. So it was in its infancy, but I had heard that song. I was like, 'Okay, that's gonna be what I come to the ring to.' And that's how that all started."

Still Alive is the theme song for Mirror's Edge (no relation to the song "Still Alive" by Jonathan Coulton for the game Portal) by Swedish musician Lisa Miskovsky. On October 7, 2008, EA announced a Mirror's Edge remix album featuring this song along with five remixes of it by Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Teddybears, and Armand Van Helden. The album was released on November 11, 2008.

A French composer created a lyric-less song called "Shine" before the full Still Alive was heard. Shine surprisingly sounds like Still Alive, having the Still Alive signature piano scale (and it is also extended) and drum beat. It is confirmed that it is only a remix of Still Alive, yet it is often praised by Mirror's Edge fans to be much better than the original theme song itself. Shine has three parts, though only the first part sounds the most similar to Still Alive, plus another song from Alcorus called "Mirror's Edge Rearranged" is most likely to be a remix of the Shine Part One.

If there was ever discussion of Alter Bridge playing his theme live at a WWE event: "My whole idea to me is if you're a heel in wrestling, you should not having a band playing for when you come out and people will react in a positive way. And I never wanted them to react in a positive way. So it never made sense to me when Motorhead showed up and did Triple H's song, you're supposed to be a heel. They're now gonna cheer you because you just had Motorhead playing you to the ring. So, to me, it just never fit. I was never a babyface at the point where it would have worked out. So, we kind of missed the boat on that. Looking back at Wrestlemania 24, I wrestled Undertaker in Orlando, which is Alter Bridge's hometown. That would have been the perfect night to do it. But I was the bad guy. If I had done that differently, it would have been a very cool moment for all of us."

"GoldenEye" is a song written by Irish musicians Bono and the Edge and performed by American singer Tina Turner. The song served as the theme for the James Bond film GoldenEye. Released as a single on November 6, 1995, the track was a chart hit in Europe, topping the Hungarian Singles Chart and reaching the top five in Austria, Finland, France, Italy and Switzerland, as well as number 10 on the UK Singles Chart. It was less successful outside Europe, reaching number 43 in Canada, number 63 in Australia, and number two on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100.

Depeche Mode was initially approached in 1994 to sing the main theme song for GoldenEye, but were coming to the end of their Devotional Tour and could not meet the schedule. Instead, the producers got Tina Turner to agree to do the song. After being informed of Turner's involvement, Bono and the Edge of Irish rock band U2 were next to join, and agreed to write the song. The track was produced and mixed by British producer/remixer/composer Nellee Hooper, best known for his work with Massive Attack, Madonna, U2, and Bjrk. The track reached number ten on the UK Singles Chart and became a top-five hit in several European countries.[2][3]

"GoldenEye" was first released on the original motion picture soundtrack and the following year it was included on Turner's album Wildest Dreams. The song has been covered by Nicole Scherzinger for the 2010 remake of the GoldenEye 007 video game.[4]

Larry Flick from Billboard described "GoldenEye" as a "gloriously over-the-top James Bond theme"[5] and a "tingly, feline performance" by Turner. He found that producer Nellee Hooper "captures the essence of the movie, wrapping the track in sweeping strings and horns that are fondly reminiscent" of the 1964 movie Goldfinger, and added that U2's Bono and the Edge "get in on the fun, writing a tune that's fraught with cryptic lyrical twists and romantic intrigue."[6] James Masterton for Dotmusic said that "like most Bond themes it tends towards the sweeping style of the early John Barry efforts yet still manages to retain its own identity."[7] Nisid Hajari from Entertainment Weekly stated that the James Bond myth "certainly allows for the trinity of Sex, Danger, and Elegance to verge on melodrama." He noted the song's "self-conscious vocals and maudlin horns and strings", that "blithely crosses the line".[8]

Like many Bond themes before it, Tina Turner's version was not the only recorded song for the film. Swedish pop band Ace of Base also recorded a song that was optioned to the studio. Ace of Base's "The GoldenEye" was later reworked into "The Juvenile" which appeared on their Da Capo album in 2002.[citation needed]

The challenge for Imagineering was to strike a balance between the desire to create an authentic Star Wars village and the need for theme park theatrics. The compromise: In-universe ambient music will play in Black Spire marketplace shops and a droid DJ will spin alien pop music in the local cantina while thematic symphonic scores will be reserved for attractions and shows within the land.

Clash at the Castle was one of the most anticipated WWE pay per views in years, given the UK had last hosted such an event in 1992.The show was also Triple H€™s first with a full storyline build (he had assumed the position of Head of Creative less than two weeks before Summerslam), and as such the excitement was palpable amongst fans in attendance at Cardiff€™s Principality Stadium. This excitement and passion was nowhere more evident than during Edge€™s entrance, where the crowd sang along to his iconic theme song in one of the wrestling moments of 2022.

Edge€™s theme was always one of the absolute best, from the €œyou think you know me€ taken from his previous music to Metalingus€™ Alter Bridge lyrics, which to quote Sheamus is simply a €œbanger.€

Lisa Miskovsky's original Mirror's Edge theme has an unfortunate title, but it's a really good song that managed to be a departure from the usual videogame fare, while still perfectly nailing the flavor of the game. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst has a new theme, Warning Call, by a new performer, the Scottish synthpop band Chvrches, but it's very much in the same vein as its predecessor.

With his theme song firmly in check, Adam will now hope that his in-ring actions also match his iconic entrance. Tony Khan revealed that Copeland will be on Dynamite, where he will share his thoughts on why he chose to sign with AEW.

The show has been released on DVD, and in the iTunes store in a digital format, and the theme performed by The Edge is part of season one and two. The audio track has not been released separately to date on any other audio release.

The Rated R Superstar is officially back in action, and he brought his classic theme song back with him. WWE Hall of Famer Edge has spent most of this year involved in a heel gimmick, forming the Judgement Day stable with Finn Balor, Damien Priest, and Rhea Ripley. The group turned on Edge and he has been off TV for some time. That changed on Saturday night at SummerSlam when Edge returned to help The Mysterios defeat Judgement Day. e24fc04721
