Hi Jose, I think you need to uninstall the driver first. Then you can re-install the correct one. Windows is pretty dumb when it comes to this stuff. It will continue to use the same driver for the same printer it detects. It knows the serial number of the printer.

This article shows how to uninstall the printer driver that is causing issues or change the driver on the printer: Remove or Uninstall a Printer Driver from Windows 7/8/10

I've tried updating the drivers and removing the font. I checked the events and logs and I'm not seeing anything in them about the printers. I went down there yesterday and watched her printing for 45 minutes and it didn't do it while I was there.

It happened on the printing instance today while I was watching it. The printer shows no visible sign it's encountered an error (it doesn't pause for a moment or anything). But while I was watching it just skipped out 2 labels then later in the run skipped out 3. I am updating all firmware and drivers at the moment. it does it from various clients and software types. anything from Bartender to Printing PDF labels will result in missing pages. I am going to try and messing with spool vs direct print next. no environmental factors like network traffic/packet loss/power issues that I am able to detect.

none. I tried swapping the printer for another one (same model) but the issues still resumed. it does only seem to happen when using my printer on network and not when I hook it up to a physical machine via USB. I am experimenting with flow control and spooling now and it seems that telling the windows driver to send direct to the printer and not to spool it may have possibly resolved the issue but I am not 100% certain yet.

If the driver listed is not the right version or operating system, search our driver archive for the correct version. Enter Seagull Zebra ZM400 (203 dpi) - ZPL into the search box above and then submit. In the results, choose the best match for your PC and operating system.

Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

Zebra does provide a Java API at www.zebra.com/link. It doesn't claim to support the ZM400, but it's worth looking into for 20 minutes. I'd be surprised if it didn't support that model since all of the supported printers speak ZPL.

You need a driver for the printer. Windows CE provide a generic USB print transport driver that should work with many of those text-based printers, you may add it to your Windows CE OS image and try it.If it works you may be able to send data to the printer by using PRN*: instead of COM*: as device name (PRN1:, PRN2: etc.).

I went through all the printer and driver settings multiple times, but as far as I can tell, and as far as the Zebra support woman could tell, the issue is that my printer prints at 300 DPI and the labels are issued by Amazon at 203 DPI.

The Zebra rep told me that the printer heads are only able to print at a given resolution regardless of the drivers, and that if I want to print 203 I need to get a different head as mine will only print in 300. Is this not true?

Recommendation: For novice Windows users, we highly recommend downloading a driver update tool like DriverDoc [Download DriverDoc - Product by Solvusoft] to help update your Zebra Printer drivers. This utility downloads and updates the correct ZM400 driver version automatically, protecting you against installing the wrong drivers.

Industrial Printer ZM400 errors may be linked to system drivers that are corrupt or obsolete. Drivers of computer hardware fail without any apparent reason. The exciting news is that you can likely update the Printer device drivers in order to avoid malfunctions.

It is not straightforward to get Industrial Printer ZM400 drivers due to Zebra's large and confusing official website. However, even if you are good at locating, installing, and upgrading drivers for the Industrial Printer ZM400, one can still waste lots of time and be very frustrated with this endeavor. Inaccurate driver versions may have an adverse impact on your computer's performance, often creating more problems.

It is strongly recommended to use a driver updating program as updates can be time consuming and complex. An update program not only provides the right drivers that are compatible with your hardware, but it also guarantees that there is a backup of current drivers before any changes are made. Back-up files provide you with the ability to roll-back any driver to an earlier version if something interrupts or corrupts the process. 2351a5e196
