In this case I install another manager called WICD. Using your wired connection download WICD from the software centre. Go to system settings and set WICD to run on startup. Uninstall network manager (this is really important). Now restart. Use WICD to connect to the wifi

The following actions rectified the problem and might be worth a try for other people. One thing it demonstrates is that the Intel legacy wifi driver (Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection) works in Win 10 although no longer supported by Intel or Microsoft. In my case it involved disabling PCMCIA drivers (I do not use the PCMCIA card reader but there could be other options not tested). It was tested and worked in a Fujitsu Tablet ST5112 with a Centrino processor, running Win 10 Pro, 32bit as follows:

I'm sure that Intel will not mind me mentioning that the simplest solution to the Acer Aspire 5920 and Windows 10 wifi compatibility issue is to replace the Intel mini-PCIe adapter/card with the equivalent Broadcom card (the ethernet driver in this PC is already Broadcom). The equivalent wifi card is the BCM94311MCG at the dizzy cost of 4.00 from eBay. Very easy to fit (see YouTube) and installs perfectly and quickly DURING AND AFTER boot (so give it a chance) and assuming you have your ethernet cable fitted and working.

I have acer aspire 5325 laptop, I am not able to connect to my university wifi. It is not even being detected, if at all detected it doesnt get connected. I am able to connect to other wifis and through lan cable . I checked with my it administrator, he checked all the firewall settings and everything, still not able to detect the college network. Also I tried reinstalling my OS, but that neither yielded any result. Please help.

My acer aspire E1-572-6676 would connect to the internet fine and works really well. however when someone else uses their device on the same FLOOR of the house it disconnects from the wifi. When they are using it lets say in the basement the pc works perfectly fine (most of the time sometimes it disconnects with no one being in the house). This is a weird problem and i have been trying to fix this for a long time. I installed many drivers but nothing seems to work.

I tried these steps on my Acer Aspire V and it worked! I wonder if the recent Comcast speed update had anything to do with having to adjust the driver settings? Anyway, I had wifi options but I could not connect to my home network all of a sudden. After rebooting the home modem it gave me limited access for about a minute before it cut off again. I have an Acer aspire 5755G with a windows 10. My WiFi connection list does not apear. My Wifi key does not turn on the Wifi lamp as well. I checked device manager but I do not see the drive, I installed a broadband wireless drive for windows 8 but it does not install or help. Also I installed the drive downloader and it checked the drivers. It says that the device associated with the wireless derive (Atheros AR5B97) is not connected .

what should I do now?

just reset the settings in wireless adaptor . and make sure you update the wireless driver after reset and see if any other program is not blocking the internet connection . check the wireless adaptor settings for any other help before you try reset the computer just visit acer for latest driver and manual click and let me know if you need any other help

Hello, I recently got a Pixma MG2522 printer and im trying to get it to connect to my Chromebook. Which is not windows or mac. Hopefully you know what it is because im not good with computers. My printer does not connect to wifi of course. Ive tried to go to the website to download the software for the printer but its only for windows, Macbook, Windows rt, i believe. Im hoping someone can help me figure this out. it kind of weird. I believe when i plug the USB cord into my computer it shows up as a Canon MG2500 series (USB). I click on that and then it says Add Printer Manually. So I click Canon under "Manufacturer" but i dont see my printer option under Model. Which i assume the model is MG2522? or it says "or specify your own driver" which i dont know what that means. Please help.... 2351a5e196
