so, i have gone through all the support pages and looked through google but i cant find anything on this. i just received my mackie onyx artist 1-2 today and installed all the drivers. however it isnt appearing in any of the driver lists. like at all. its also not letting me playback mp3 or wav files saying unable to open audio playback device plz help

I've tried different drivers. Asio4All doesn't even work at all with this interface; no sound, not even from the test button in Bias FX. I can only use the default Mackie Onyx drivers (and yes, they're up 2 date).

Im getting the complete run-around from apple(audio core driver) ,loud technology's (Mackie) and Im ready to throw in the towel. A program needs to be written by either Apple or Loud Tech to recognize the volume sliders in the audio devices window on a Mac. Loud tech support told me to use compression plug-ins to boost missing gain stage...Really? Have they not heard of raising the noise floor? My 150.00 Pre-sonus interface recognizes the volume faders in audio/midi devices window- If anyone has made any progress please reply...

Don't artists use more than one or two microphones? So many companies have interfaces along the same model as these new Mackies and they continue to get better as far as raw audio quality. But high quality 4-mic interfaces that connect via USB seem to be as scarce as ever. I suppose if you're creative (or maybe indecisive) enough to want to record more than two channels, you're "pro" enough to have a Mac or one of the rare PCs with Thunderbolt.
