Hi! I run UM 20.04.4 LTS. My Epson L150 printer/scanner has ben functioning a bit erratically in recent days (scanner, mainly).

My question: should I uninstall it and then reinstall or just reinstall drivers on top of those already installed?

Best

I presume that there is no official Linux support for your machine from Epson. That means that the drivers you are using are provided by Ubuntu/Debian. This being the case, I would un-install the printer (Control Center > Printers...) and then re-install it (un-install printer - re-boot Ubuntu-Mate - install printer).

The printer head is a collection of spray nozzles. What often happens is a few get clogged so no ink is ejected so you get a line it could be a colored line or if all three base colors are blocked a white line (no ink).

I've been cleaning my nozzles every week and it never fully goes away, even tried nozzle alignment, but there always seems to be either white lines if printing in black and white or washed out colors, especially yellow. It seems to print better when printing via USB on the computer which set it up, but trying to print on laptops is just a nightmare, tried looking for drivers but all I find it just bloatware from epson installing 3 same apps, from all symptoms I expect this to be driver/software issue since cleaning it barely helps and computer which connected and set up the printer seems to work the best but still causes lines especially from web base print orders. 152ee80cbc
