I created a Word Document and inserted all my commonly used symbols. When I am drafting, I always keep thisdocument open. If I need to insert asymbol, I simply switch to the open document, select and copy the symbol, then paste it into the drawing Note Text Box where I need it.

I'm currently really struggling with the fact that if you are in the "draw" mode (B) inside a MIDI clip and you want to draw in notes with different lengths, Live will just create multiple notes of the length of your grid instead of one longer note. I don't want to change back to normal mode and click the end of one note, because this is so inefficient for quickly drawing in notes... Is there a way to change this behavior? Like some shortcut with alt, ctrl, or shift?

Edit: I found a way to do just what I want, and that is through Live Enhancement Suite's tilde key feature! Basically, while pressing the tilde key, you keep the grid and can draw in notes with different lengths (basically like alt in draw mode but with snap to grid). Here's a video with a timestamp that shows the feature.

*If you circle a portion of the drawing with the lasso, a dotted line in motion will surround what's been selected. If you tap and hold part of the drawing, two yellow resize handles will highlight what's been selected and you can move those handles to expand or decrease the selected area.

Since iOs 11 or iOS 12 (I don't remember) Apple decided to add a new functionality to draw your notes inside the Note, instead of doing it on a separate page. But it was still possible to do it the old way: Click on the + sign and you were able to create a screen-full page.

When you click on this +-sign, you could choose "Voeg tekening toe" (This is the Dutch/Flemish version, but I assume it would be "Add drawing" on English versions), and you'll get a page-full design screen:

My company uses drawing templates to help maintain consistency with company drafting standards. If our standard notes need an update, I have to update all of our drawing templates (we have about 15).

You can easily loop through a stack of drawings, retrieve their notes (from either the model or drawing) and write/append them to native Excel Tables. We have done several automations like this in the past, they are pretty straight forward in most cases.

Once the notes are in an Excel Table - you can easily transform the the notes (e.g. change values, delete, add, etc.) using Excel Power Query and Set the Values back to your target model/drawing (again referencing a table to SET_CREATE the notes)

In the other CAD systems I use, we use the Delta (triangle) symbol to tie things on the drawing field to a note. We call them flag notes or delta notes. I need to do that here, but I cannot find the way to do it. Can someone point this out?

Is there any way to actually get the note into the drawing notes? Currently I create the custom note and then just eyeball it next to the notes. If the notes get moved the symbol has to also be moved. Seriously I can't be the only one that finds this absolutely idiotic. Come on Inventor, progress into this Century. We have stuff on Mars!

You can use annotation and drawing markup tools to add comments. Comments are notes and drawings that communicate ideas or provide feedback for PDFs. You can type a text message using the Add text comment tool. Alternatively, you can use a drawing tool to add a line, circle, or other shape and then type a message in the associated pop-up note. Text-editing tools let you add editing marks to indicate changes that you want in the source document.

To create a cloud or polygon shape, click to create the start point, move the pointer, and click to create each segment. To finish drawing the shape, click the start point, or right-click and choose Complete from the menu. Double-click to end a polygon line.

To draw free-form lines using the Draw tool, drag where you want to begin drawing. You can release the mouse button, move the pointer to a new location, and continue drawing. To erase parts of the drawing, select the Erase a drawing tool and drag across the areas of the drawing that you want to remove.

In Windows, you can determine thefont and the size of text in pop-up notes. In Mac OS,you can select only Large, Medium, or Small settings for the font. This setting applies to all new and existing comments.

Determines the opacity of comment pop-up notes in values from1 to 100. When a pop-up note is open but not selected, an opacityvalue of 100 makes the note opaque, while lower values make it moretransparent.

Aligns pop-up notes with the right side of the document window, regardless of where the comment markup (such as a note icon or highlightingcomment) is added. If this option is deselected, the pop-up noteappears next to the comment markup. Selected by default.

I have always thought it was disappointing that the main Apple Apps like Notes and Keynote did not take advantage of the pressure sensitivity feature of the Apple Pencil when you were drawing. So I was very excited a few days ago when Paul Hamilton posted on Twitter about the new pens that are now in the updated Apple Notes. They are somewhat "hidden" and you have to swipe to the left on the tool bar to see some of them. There is a thicker marker that adjusts to pressure, a calligraphy pen that swoops like a ribbon, and a beautiful realistic watercolor marker. Hopefully these tools will be added to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers in the near future!

You can add polished text, shapes, and drawings to your whiteboard. For example, when you draw a square, the edges and angles of your drawing are automatically cleaned up. You can also draw images, such as circles, cats, or bicycles.

If you are a visual learner with tons of ideas per minute, the sketchnote and doodling method is for you. Freely organize all your ideas and concepts at any moment, wherever you are. Explain Everything is an all-in-one tool that offers a unique, paperless approach to visual note-taking that will take your creativity to the next level. Discover the power of whiteboard drawing and graphic recording!

Take the first step and draw or doodle something using the pen tool. Zoom in and zoom out to add the smallest details. Then, modify colors and use basic shapes or clipart to enhance your drawings. Communicate ideas freely and easily without fear of imperfection.

Research says that sketchnoting and doodling aid concentration, decrease stress levels, support abstract thinking and enhance understanding. Integrate sketchnotes to explain specific topics. Improve visual communication by playing with content and illustrating different concepts instead of relying on words alone. The possibilities of an interactive whiteboard are unlimited.

Take notes from your meetings, conferences or events. Easily explain and record concepts with whiteboard drawings. Collaborate in real time with colleagues or clients. Spread the news and share it via social media.

The Inside border encloses the working area, including the title block and other tables. Traditionally, for the printed drawings the border is 20 mm wide on the binding edge and 10 mm wide on the other three sides, with resulting working area sizes as shown in Table 1. However, when drawings are stored in the electronic format, the wider border is not mandatory and can be 10 mm too.

The data may refer to company policy or to the drawing. The form and information vary from company to company. A company that produces large castings, as an example, may have different notes than a company that makes small tools and dies.

Drawings may carry a change or revision table, preferably on the right-hand side (vertical revision table) or at the bottom of the drawing on the left from the title block (horizontal revision table). In addition to a brief description of drawing changes, provision may be made for recording a revision symbol, zone location, issue number, date, and approval of the change.

If a drawing has details drawn larger than full size, it should, where practicable, include an undimensioned view of the same details drawn to actual size. This view may be an axonometric projection or may be simplified by showing only the outlines of the object.

If most features of the drawing are not drawn to scale, the abbreviation NTS must be shown in the scale space in the title block. NTS is used on the preliminary drawings or on sketches. The manufacturing drawings must be drawn to scale.

Clipboard. The paperclip copies your selection to your device clipboard. It makes it easy to transfer work between apps like email and text, and between drawings and projects in app. You can also find the paperclip in the Gallery, in your Imports menu and with your Object library (iOS only).
