Hi Steve I am running the latest release of download manager it recognizes CIS but doesnt recognise Orcad in fact i downloaded the latest CIS using download manager on Saturday 7th march 2020 but today monday 9 March 2020 have to download orcad 17.4 hotfix 4 by going into the cadence software website

That doesn't make sense since CIS is the same download for PCB Editor - called Cadence OrCAD and Allegro 17.4-2019. Try uninstalling Download Manager then reinstall as mentioned above. If this doesn't help you may need to talk to Cadence Online Support or your Channel Partner.

my new laptop had Norton 360 for gamers, and it ended after two months, which I expected. However i wanted to download Norton360 to continue using it, but as Deluxe version. When I downloaded the installer from the official website and launched it, it gave me message "another download manager is currently running", and I don't have any other installers running. In order to solve that issue I uninstalled "Norton 360 for gamers" using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. And the new installer still gives me the same message. I'm pretty sure that there are no installations and/or similar processes running in the background (I googled this, and it seems to be a pretty common issue).

The Product installation guide says that the download manager should automatically begin installation of the software after the download process is complete. It does complete the download but then it just stops there.

It never gets to the point where it shows the license agreement page so that I can accept it and move on to the rest of installation.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to troubleshoot this problem? The download manager does not seem to have any other settings or controls that I can access to see what might be holding it up.

I've also searched the forum and I haven't found any other posts regarding this problem.

Hi, I've been trying to download an 84.2 GB mp4 file for the past two weeks, but every time it fails. I've got an ethernet cable, tried different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge), tried a VPN, tried closing everything but the download tab, and used a download manager, but I haven't been able to download the file fully. What usually happens is that it downloads at my usual download rate, and once it gets to around 40-60 GB it'll abruptly stop, and Firefox will say that it failed. When I tried using FreeDownloadManager, it gave me an HTTP 403 error, so I'm stuck wondering if Dropbox isn't letting me download the file or if it's my ISP (that is if my understanding of what an HTTP 403 error is correct). Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll close this thread now since I've found a solution. I downloaded the desktop app and synced the shared folder onto my computer. I also upgraded to Dropbox Plus but I'm not sure if that's required. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions, Jay.

I currently have a free account. I assume I have to upgrade my account to download the file I need, then? I'm sorry if I interpreted that wrong, I'm confused by what you meant by "enough quota." Are you referring to space on my Dropbox account? That solution sounds odd to me since I have a colleague who also has access to this shared link and a free account but can download the file just fine. It seems that I'm the only one having issues.

Your response implies that I have to have a paid account in order to download a large file that was uploaded by someone with a paid account.

Someone uploaded a 76GB file and shared it with me. I have been wasting my time trying to download this file for 2 days. I get about 30-36GB downloaded, and the download fails, WITHOUT A MESSAGE STATING WHY IT FAILED.

It seems to me, DropBox is just wasting my time. If someone has a paid account, they should be able to share their files with anyone they choose. At minimum DropBox should warn them if the person they chose to share their file with, won't be able to download the file because of DropBox limitations.

Based on what I've read here, I will not be spending a dime on DropBox.

Let me say what I was hoping it would do - and I suspect this is something others perceived too. I imagined that I could choose a URL such as as weather site and set the download manager to take a screenshot at some regular interval such as hourly or daily so I would wind up with an archive of the website content on an ongoing basis. I think it might be possible to do that currently, but the data would be stored in individual files without an obvious way to put it back together as a website easily.

E.g. just like the download manager of browsers while viewing web documents or documents, only major difference is then that the files can be downloaded to a database. Or to grab offline copies of websites for archiving.

I chose one file and put it in the queue. Then when I started the download manager, it picked up tons of links from the Dropbox page and crashed DT3 (the app closed). So I set download manager to not follow links and tried it two more times. Same issue each time - DT3 crashed completely.

Suddenly I could manage more than one download a t the time which it is a very big deal when you need to do more than one PLC at the time, Does anyone knows what the Download data tables (RAM) do? it is not on the documentation.:

anyway, I tested it and it seemed to make a clean download keeping all retained values and not adding weird stuff, or at least that was the case for like 10 revisions of software that I have deployed in the past year so far.

However recently on the debut of revision no. 12, I noticed that some V700 was clearing one critical value that was used in the software that was weird because I couldn't replicate that behavior on my test bench, I tried to downgrade then upgrade and still nothing, but each time I deployed the same version with the same method on a production machine the same issue keeps happening.

ML0 was set to be 268369920. instead of retaining previous value.

Not a big deal I tough, double checking one value on one screen after each download was a compromise that I was willing to do with all the saved effort

but now on revision no.13 many values were overridden which essentially made the machine inoperable even MIs in the background which didn't have any manual Input were changed.

Not a big deal I mean I can pretty much solve major issues by adding those to the default values and having to manually input the ones that will be specific. seems that I can not trust the retained memory values for each software rollout. ff782bc1db
