I've been exercising this idea for some time to play with reduced zombie block damage, but haven't had time lately to try it. I've started a new game recently, and I'm just finding that zombie damage limits my building imagination rather than adds thrill. I find it oddly satisfying to let them rip POIs apart during horde nights, but it's more fun to defend home from zombie rather than run away to some random POI or build a "horde" base.

Experience blocky survival at its best in this FPS zombie survival adventure. Build your own base and survive with your friends against waves and waves of zombies.Choose your weapons well and get ready to shred zombies as you survive day and night against the undead horde. Can you survive Zumbi Blocks?

Armor worn by zombies is not damaged from most damage sources, which means it cannot "wear out" the way player armor does. Helmets (not blocks like pumpkins) on zombies can eventually wear away and break if the zombie is exposed to daylight or has an anvil or other falling block dropped on its head. Zombies also have a natural armor rating of 2 (), giving 1.6 to 8% damage reduction from most sources. Zombies can also wear mob heads, although they need to be dropped by the player before the zombie can pick one up and put it on.

Zombies pursue and attack golem utility mobs within 42 blocks. Iron golems and snow golems attack zombies without provocation, although snow golems deal only knockback to zombies with their snowballs.

Zombies target wandering traders within 35 blocks and can see traders through walls. The zombie focuses solely on the trader unless it's attacked, or if either it or the target is killed or moved out of range, or if the trader is under the invisibility status effect.

The zombie also breaks down the door if the door is blocking its way. Zombies can break only the top half of a door, meaning they cannot break a door if the zombie is facing the bottom half of the door.

Reinforcements zombies spawn regardless of the hostile mob cap. They also spawn on the north-west corner of the designated block, instead of the center of the block like natural mob spawning does.[5] Zombies spawned as reinforcements cannot be zombie villagers, but they can be babies, including chicken jockeys.

Blockhead ZombieThe ice block on his head provides amazing protection from damage.Almanac statisticsToughnessMachinedSpeedBasicDamage1790In-game statisticsWeakness (poison ignores ice block)First seenFrostbite Caves - Day 8One day, a Cave Zombie fell head-first into a glacial stream. It had been a bad day already, so he lay there in the frigid water for a long time contemplating the insignificance of his life. When he finally stood up, he discovered that his head was encased in ice. At last, his life had meaning! He was unique! He was Blockhead Zombie! At least, that's his story and he's sticking to it.Blockhead Zombie is the eighth zombie encountered in Frostbite Caves in Plants vs. Zombies 2. Like Admiral Helmet Zombie, Knight Zombie, Jurassic Fossilhead, and Centurion Zombie, he does not have a special ability. Instead, his only purpose is to absorb a large amount of damage from plants and protect zombies behind him. Despite having headwear made of ice, he does not have any weakness to fire-based projectiles, such as flaming peppers, fire peas, and plasma peas. In fact, the Hot Potato cannot be used as well to defrost the headwear.

Although Blockhead Zombie has moderate speed, his ice block absorbs a lot of damage, which means this zombie is very strong. Like his counterpart, Knight Zombie, he can be a big problem if you are unprepared. If you see him in the seed selection screen, use a Potato Mine, Toadstool, Chili Bean, Squash, or Chomper to kill him instantly, because Blockhead Zombies are harder to destroy than Buckethead Zombies. If combined with Hunter Zombies and Dodo Rider Zombies, they can be very threatening. Avoid using Magnet-shrooms, as unlike Knight Zombie's helm, the ice block is not magnetic, thus wasting 100 sun and a seed slot in the process. If the premium seed slot expansion is purchased, this will aid the player greatly. It can allow another high-damage plant, such as Cherry Bomb, Jalapeno, or Squash, to be used. Also, be sure to stock up on plenty of coins by the Endless Zones or the levels you previously played in order to use Power Ups to kill this zombie in a final attempt to defend your house.

Using Sun Bean on this zombie is a very good idea. It is best to use Plant Food on the Sun Bean to kill him instantly because you could get a lot of sun from this zombie and ice blocks give more sun than buckets when they are destroyed.

Among all the plants released in Frostbite Caves, Chard Guard is the most effective against this zombie, as it can hurl him and other zombies back, buying your defenses time. If you want to use Chard Guard against him, it is recommended to have high damage plants behind the Chard Guard, to deal damage while Chard Guard flings back Blockhead Zombie. Pepper-pult can also be used against this zombie, but the peppers will not deal more damage, even though they are on fire and the Blockhead Zombie's protection is made of ice. Because of this and Pepper-pult's low rate of fire, it is best to either use another plant alongside it or have more Pepper-pults, as a couple will not be enough. Since he eats plants normally, it's possible for a player to use Chili Bean as well, not to mention it can freeze the zombies behind him. On levels with zombies frozen in Ice Blocks, a Hypno-Shroom against him can effectively eliminate both him and the frozen zombies in the lane, buying you time to accumulate sun. Grimrose and Shadow-Shroom, as well as Goo Peashooter all ignore his ice block and easily kills him. Do note that when they come in hordes, this can be a problem. A plant food on a Hypno-Shroom can take out a whole lane of them if properly assisted.

Zombie Blocks spawn a Zombie to attack any player/mob that passes it, though it will not attack the player who placed the block. Since Zombies catch fire when it's daytime, it is most advisable to place them in caves or at night because if the spawned Zombie catches fire, it will attack the player who placed it and since Zombies can break down wooden doors, it will make it harder for you to escape if you have one (especially if its almost broken).

In order to survive, Blue Team has to use special obstacles around the map (such as crates, walls, etc.) as well as buttons to block off temporarily safe areas of the map with wooden barricades. Zombies have an ability to destroy barricades by hitting them enough times, survivors, however, can rebuild damaged barriers by hitting them with a melee weapon repeatedly.

Zombie is an endurance management framework that enables a variety of error correction mechanisms to extend the lifetimes of memories that suffer from bit failures caused by wearout, such as phase-change memory (PCM). Zombie supports both single-level cell (SLC) and multi-level cell (MLC) variants. It extends the lifetime of blocks in working memory pages (primary blocks) by pairing them with spare blocks, i.e., working blocks in pages that have been disabled due to exhaustion of a single block's error correction resources, which would be 'dead' otherwise. Spare blocks adaptively provide error correction resources to primary blocks as failures accumulate over time. This reduces the waste caused by early block failures, making working blocks in discarded pages a useful resource. Even though we use PCM as the target technology, Zombie applies to any memory technology that suffers stuck-at cell failures.

That ends my list of the most important things you can do to prevent the zombie block! Another good idea to beat the designer blues is to visit our blogsite and read excellent blog posts such as this one to feed your brain in times of design zombieism!

Released in 201tag_hash_1114, Zumbi Blocks, with all it's flaws, has captivated thousands of fans worldwide due to it's simple yet effective design, gameplay and promising development start. Unfortunately, the game was discontinued by it's creator during it's peak of popularity, leading to the rise of new fan made versions, many of which failed to translate the aspects that made this game so beloved while simultaneously exacerbating it's worse flaws.

Zumbi Blocks: Revamped has the goal of bringing back the qualities of this popular game and trimming down it's main issues. The game has been made by only 2 people who were fans of the original game and dreamed of creating a new version of it that could continue on the main creative ideas of the original while adding our own ideas, as long as they follow the spirit of the game. The game was also made completely open source so you can take your own look at the inside workings of it and use it to make your own version if you desire! Check the game's source code here: -blocks-revamped

While we are definitely excited to show this game to you, we have been a little bit late as the creator of the original game, Adrian, has came back to create Zumbi Blocks 2! The game is still on the alpha stage and, just like it's prequel, has a very promising development start. To our luck, Adrian has chosen to diverge significantly from the path he planned for the first game, creating a new experience that is very different from the one we made for Zumbi Blocks: Revamped. We have no ties to the development of that game, but we are none the less happy to see him coming back and wish him the best of luck. Check out Zumbi Blocks 2 here on Itch.io: -blocks-2
