A short walk up and down the street packed with performers and onlookers alike left me gawking at the beautiful chaos that erupts from this mecca of concentrated creativity. Brass bands conflict with soulful blues which blends with the classic rock from stage after stage that line the street. Most of the acts are still local and belt out original tunes, which only adds to the authenticity of the not-yet-commercialized music hub.

In most pre-automobile American cities, wealthy families would build their mansions well outside the crammed downtowns filled with common-folk. In New Orleans, this congregation of the wealthy occurred in what is now known as the Garden District. Jessica and I chose to take the St. Charles trolley from Canal Street in order to visit the District. While technically a viable means of transportation, we discovered the New Orleans streetcars are much more charming and photogenic than they are comfortable and effective!

Your chex party mix is definitely a better alternative to many junk foods and I would love to try it out when people come over to my hours. For kids however, I would rather suggest something more to their liking, I recently found this quick healthy snacks for kids online, a gluten-free and all natural health bar from Nouri and I think your recipe as well as the product I mentioned would make a good party snack combination.

Real Spit: Gucci Mane is out on the road, getting that show paper. Mr. LaFlare says he has to look his freshest for the people, which means an assortment of ice to shine, hence the name of his latest mixtape, Jewelry Selection.

"The mixtape came out, 700,000 downloads in, I think, 30 minutes," Gucc told MTV News. "Some people say it's my best mixtape ever. There's definitely a lot of songs that I could have put on my album on this mixtape. Something just to get the people ready to know that I'm coming. I don't want them to be surprised when they hear my album how slick and clever I am on the mic. It's just a prelude."

"I gave you nothing but classics," DJ Holiday, who hosts the tape, said of his and Gucc's latest collabo. "So it's only right I give you the preview of the mixtape. It was very imperative we did this mixtape for the streets. We gave the streets mixtape after mixtape with Writing's on the Wall, Burrrprint 2. And that album is coming September 28, The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted."

"Electricity": "It's one of the biggest songs," Holiday explained. "It's gonna be in the clubs coming up. It's going to be one of the biggest street records, I personally think. I never let you down, MTV. It's one of them records. If you got them diamonds, them stones in your chain, you're gonna turn this one up."

"Stone Cold": "I feel strongly about this record," Holiday boasted. "It's one of them records that makes you feel you need to wake up, wipe your face with a stack of 20s, and do whatever you need to do to start our day and just grind. It's called 'Stone Cold.' This is one of the biggest mixtapes of the year. We doing this for y'all."

This super-fun street party brings a touch of New York disco glamour to London. Top-class guest DJs Todd Terje and Mr Scruff join the Krankbrother siblings for some joyous dancing in the road. Christopher St. Liverpool St. Jun 17.

Nothing's ShockingKanye West came to South by Southwest 09 to party. Decked out in black sunglasses and a gold bullet chain, the illustrious rapper took the stage at the Third Street block party known as the Levi's/Fader Fort on Saturday, lighthearted and with little agenda, essentially curating a two-hour mixtape for his GOOD Music imprint that included appearances from Common, lead Cannabinoid Erykah Badu, and the ever-entertaining Fonzworth Bentley.

Farther south on Cesar Chavez, the private Red Bull Moon Tower established an after-hours/early-morning hot spot, with performances from the Riverboat Gamblers, I Love You but I've Chosen Darkness, and Lady Sovereign. Domy Books transformed its back lot into something resembling Los Angeles' the Smell scene on Saturday, compliments of the riotous Mika Miko, noise-punk zeitgeist No Age, and Nite Jewel, whose narcotic synth-pop glow defied the afternoon daylight. Down the street, Okay Mountain hosted Autobus Records, lilted by the heavily syncopated lullabies of Andrew Kenny's the Wooden Birds. The award for most creative day party definitely goes to MyOpenBar.com's presentation of Four Square Punk, where bands such as Finally Punk and the Mae Shi alternated songs across four decidedly DIY stages within a stone's throw of a free roller-skating rink. 006ab0faaa
