After a long and excruciating battle, Tanjiro, with the help of Inosuke, defeats Lower One. This entire battle sequence was incredible. Lower One continuously tries to put Tanjiro to sleep, but this fails and he wakes himself up each time. I was on the edge of my seat as Tanjiro nearly ended his own life for good, thinking he was actually asleep. Thankfully, Inosuke stops this from happening by grabbing his arm and yelling that he was awake. Soon after, the strong demon is killed.

As Tanjiro struggles to recover from a stab wound he received from a demon-controlled human, another, much stronger demon enters the scene. Akaza, Upper Three and one of the Twelve Kizuki, appears on the battlefield.

Akaza offers to turn Kyojuro into a demon, so the Hashira could continue to grow stronger without worry of mortality and severe wounds. Not wanting to lose his humanity and the beauty that comes with it, Kyojuro refuses, even as he is about to die from a fatal wound dealt by Upper Three.

The third season of Demon Slayer picks up where the second season left off and promises to be an exciting and action-packed ride. In episode 12 of The Salty Gaijin Podcast, my friend Rei joined me again to talk more about the anime, Demon Slayer! This season was super intense, and Rei and I had so much to say this time around. With lots of demon slaying action, new characters (and new favorites!), there was never a shortage of content for us to think about and discuss.

Because the Demon Slayer manga has already finished, we know exactly what content will be in season four of the show. The next arc in the Demon Slayer manga is the Hashira Training Arc, which, predictably, sees Tanjiro training to become a Hashira. These high-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps are the only ones capable of taking on the Upper Ranked demons and Muzan Kibutsuji himself.

I only ended up binging all of Demon Slayer a year ago when I was healing from wisdom teeth surgery, and I instantly fell in love with it. It was unlike any other anime I had watched by then, somehow combining a strange wholesome nature with the story of Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko, while also providing thrilling action and brilliant animation in a world run by demons.

Created by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer, also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in Japanese, is a popular manga series set in Taish-era Japan which follows a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose family is massacred by demons. His younger sister, Nezuko Kamado, is the sole survivor but she too has been transformed into a demon.

Driven by the desire to avenge his family and find a cure for Nezuko, Tanjiro becomes a Demon Slayer and joins the organisation known as the Demon Slayer Corps. The Corps is a group of skilled swordsmen and women who protect humanity from the threat of demons. Tanjiro trains rigorously to become a powerful swordsman and learns various breathing techniques to enhance his combat abilities.

The Demon Slayer series follows the story of Kamado Tanjiro and his quest to find a cure for his demon sister, Nezuko. He then joins the Demon Slayer Corps, where he takes on missions to protect innocents from demons.

There are two constants in Demon Slayer. Tanjiro will draw strength from the power of family, and demons have tragic backstories. Daki and Gyutaro are no different. They were born in the poorest section of Yoshiwara. They were orphaned at a young age. Gyutaro was reviled for his appearance, and Daki became a child sex worker. Then, Daki was burned alive by a client and Gyutaro marked for death.

Based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, the Demon Slayer anime series follows Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a Demon Slayer after his family were slaughtered and his younger sister, Nezuko, was transformed into a demon.

Muichiro faces Gyokko and manages to rile Gyokko up by insulting his Blood Demon Art. Gyokko is surprised that Muichiro can keep up with his attacks. He ends up showing Muichiro his true form, which resembles a merman. Muichiro continues being unimpressed, which annoys Gyokko. He reminisces on how he felt seeing his brother dying and how he was saved by Amane. He also remembers how hard he trained and his motivations for defeating demons.

Viewers were given a recap of the Mugen Train Arc in the first seven episodes of the second season, where the three slayers and Nezuko board a train with Flame Pillar Kyojuro Rengoku to take on the demon Enmu.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke rush to collect information on the demon siblings who are terrorizing the entertainment district, and continuously move the plot forward by jumping right into the fight by episode four. ff782bc1db
