It's official: Demon Slayer season 3, episode 11 is the finale of the Swordsmith Village arc. With the seemingly never-ending battle between the Hashira and Upper Ranks coming to a close, it's time for us all to get prepared for the new episode to drop this Sunday.

The Demon Slayer season 3, episode 11 release date is Sunday, June 18 at 10.45am Pacific/1.45pm Eastern in the US for subscribers on Crunchyroll and Funimation. That's 6.45pm BST in the UK. It's an extended episode, so be sure to block out part of your Sunday if you want to watch it all.

Anime fans are eagerly anticipating the final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 3, which will conclude a compelling adaptation of the Swordsmith Village arc from Koyoharu Gotouge's manga.

There were plenty of people who were unable to watch the latest episode of season 3. Fans wondered if Crunchyroll no longer had the streaming rights for the series, but that is not the case. There seems to be a bug that has caused this issue, and thankfully, active members of the anime community have provided a few fixes that can help viewers watch the latest episode.

So I watched the movie last week, then got a notification that season 2 (?) was out on Crunchyroll. It was titled Mugen Arc and basically the movie but broken down in episodes. I don't follow the manga and I am really out of the anime loop for a good bit so is this the original season 2? Why is it the same as the movie?

Crunchyroll has announced that they have acquired the distribution rights to Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Swordsmith Village Arc, which will debut on the streaming platform on April 9, 2023, in all regions where the service is available; Crunchyroll will be the exclusive home for the series in North and South America, as well as Europe. The first episode of Demon Slayer season 3 was previously shown during a theatrical event at the beginning of March, where it was shown alongside the final episodes of season two. Episodes will be simulcast with their Japanese debuts in subtitled form.

Demon Slayer has been a worldwide phenomenon ever since the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film broke records at the box office in 2021, and that popularity only continued after an excellent second season in 2022. In fact, the second season of Demon Slayer cleaned up at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards earlier this year. Both the anticipation and expectations for the third season are extremely high, and those who saw the first episode in theaters have indicated that it's lived up to both so far. At least fans don't have much longer to wait.

Demon Slayer season 3 episode 1 will be available on Crunchyroll on the same day that it airs on Japanese TVs, and the anime streaming service will simulcast new episodes each week in every region it's available.

While we have known for a while exactly when Demon Slayer season 3 debuts in Japan, Crunchyroll only confirmed the time episode 1 would be added to its library internationally a few days before its release date.

An official episode count for Demon Slayer season 3 hasn't been revealed by Ufotable or Crunchyroll. All we know for certain is that the season premiere will be an hour long, which is half as long as the Mugen Train movie.

It took the anime 11 episodes to adapt the Entertainment District Arc. And seeing as the Swordsmith Village Arc is a few chapters more in the manga we'd expect a similar episode count for Demon Slayer season 3 if not longer.

With Demon Slayer's April 9 premiere date fast approaching, fans may be wondering where they can catch the hit anime's latest season. Crunchyroll recently revealed the platform would stream the "Swordsmith Village" arc and simulcast new episodes every week exclusively in North America, South America, Europe and wherever else Crunchyroll is available. The season will also receive dubs in six different languages for English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German and Hindi, produced and released in the future.

Demon Slayer recently embarked on a world tour for the upcoming season called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour, where the Japanese voice cast visited various cities, including Tokyo, Los Angeles and Berlin. In February, the special theatrical screening hit 95 countries and regions. The last two episodes of the previous season, covering the "Entertainment District" arc, premiered in theaters before Demon Slayer treated fans to a sneak peek of the first episode of the "Swordsmith Village" arc.

Natsuki Hanae (Tokyo Ghoul and Your Lie in April) will reprise his role as Tanjiro Kamado, the kind-hearted but hard-headed hero of the series. Akari Kito (Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and Engage Kiss) voices Tanjiro's sister Nezuko who became a demon after a vicious attack. While Zenitsu and Inosuke do not appear as much this season, fans will hear Hiro Shimono and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka's voices, respectively, in the first episode of the "Swordsmith Village" arc. This season will have Hashiras Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji and Demon Slayer Genya taking more of the spotlight, with Kengo Kawanishi, Kana Hanazawa and Nobuhiko Okamoto voicing their respective characters. Toshio Furukawa and Kousuke Toriumi will voice Hantengu and Gyokko, two of the Twelve Kizuki who will seek to wipe out the Demon Slayers.

Written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer received an anime adaptation from ufotable in April 2019. A sequel film called Mugen Train premiered in October 2020 before Season 2 aired, covering the "Entertainment District" arc. The third season, adapting the "Swordsmith Village" arc will have Haruo Sotozaki returning as the director with chief animation director Akira Matsushima. This arc follows Tanjiro as he visits the Swordsmith Village, a hidden village where swordsmiths responsible for creating the very blades Demon Slayers use to kill demons live, to repair his own broken blade. There, he unexpectedly meets the Love Hashira Mitsuri and Mist Hashira Muichiro. Unfortunately, Tanjiro's time at the village is violently interrupted by the appearance of two formidable Upper-Rank Demons, one of whom has the ability to split into different bodies.

Demon Slayer season 3, episode 1 will release on April 9 on Crunchyroll for subscribers. It's airing at 23:15 PM in Japan and is all set to be simulcast (i.e. airing at roughly the same time) in the west.

The previous full season, Entertainment District, covered chapters 70-99 in the manga source material and lasted for 11 episodes. The Swordsmith Village arc will cover chapters 100-127. On that evidence, we can expect another 11 or 12-episode season and not a bumper 26-episode run like the first season was.

Hot off the heels of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour and cinematic experience, Aniplex of America and Crunchyroll will be officially premiering Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc starting Sunday, April 9, 2023. As part of its previously announced Spring season lineup, Crunchyroll will simulcast new episodes every week.

The post-credit scene in season 3 episode 1 saw Kanao and Aoi celebrating Tanjiro waking up from his coma, only for the group to wonder how long Inosuke was on the ceiling. Kanao thinks back to when she first walked into his room, with the group coming to the conclusion that he must have been clinging to the rafters for over an hour.

Now to why Netflix seems to be trailing behind Crunchyroll when it comes to Demon Slayer. When an anime episode airs in Japan, it keeps the structure and closure of the manga, which also means there are no reruns. This is meant to keep audiences tuning in each week to find out whether Tanjiro finally decapitates that Upper Moon demon. More viewers mean more ad revenue, so episodes need to keep going without a break in the story. American TV allows for more freedom on that front, with repeats shown on TV and streaming services often making entire seasons available at once.

Of the many classic anime franchises set to release new seasons in this spring anime season, perhaps none are as highly anticipated as Demon Slayer's third season. Set to place Tanjiro and his young comrades on a course to the Swordsmith Village Arc, the highest followers of the demon lord Muzan are finally preparing to enter the fray. Luckily, fans in North America and the world over will have the opportunity to stream the series on Crunchyroll with the streaming service unveiling a release date for the Ufotable series next month.

The first episode of Demon Slayer Season 3 has already aired thanks to the recent theatrical release, Demon Slayer: To The Swordsmith Village. The Demon Slayer anime has helped the manga sell many copies, to the point where Koyoharo Gotoge's shonen series has often outpaced One Piece in the sales department.
