I really loved the slow-paced show at first. Some lines were so beautiful that I felt like writing them down. There were no overly cringe or cheesy low-budget moments that seem so typical of many dramas nowadays.

However, what happened in the last third of the story? I felt that all that poetic buildup was for naught. The male lead-turned-CEO becomes jealous and controlling. All the crucial things that made the drama so unique and likable in the first part of the story, like the calm pacing and the pretty lines, went out of the window.

However, for all of you wondering if Crush is still worth the watch, my answer is: Yes! The drama alone had a beautiful storyline and excellent visuals. The buildup alone is worth it, despite how things turned out towards the end. It far surpasses some of the clunkier Cdramas out there, thanks to how naturally the story initially unfolded.

Hey guys so recently I watched crush 2021 and it was just perfect and now I want to watch a drama similar to that. I am open to different countries. What I love about the drama is the amazing chemistry of the leads and how the ml is crazy in love with the fl and never forgets her even after they break up. Looking forward to the recommendations. Thank You

This Chinese drama certainly offers a very different kind of romance compared to the usual cold CEO rom-coms such as Unforgettable Love and youthful romance stories like Falling Into Your Smile. It is like a melodrama with a male lead who is visually impaired and full of bitterness and resentment. Hence, the drama has a dark undertone to it although it is not emphasized to the extent that you will feel depressed watching it. His dark world has to be there as a contrast to the sunlight that the female lead gradually brought to his life.

Therefore, if you are bored of the typical romance dramas on offer and want something totally different, Crush would fit the bill. The male lead alone is already very different from the usual with his disability and low self-esteem. His struggles will make you feel for him and you will be drawn to the romance because the female lead is there to make him grow as a person.

The plot does follow the predictable path of wooing, dating, breaking up, and reconciling. However, it is the overall feel of the drama with a disabled male character that makes it unique. As the story progresses, you can see how the female lead slowly affects the male lead and draws him out of his shell. Basically, this is what you will be watching for the most part of the drama. So, there is character growth where Nian Qin is concerned. He becomes a happier and better person by the end of the drama as he successfully puts his past behind him because of Wu Yan.Where It Is LackingThe last 2 to 3 episodes are not really necessary to me. Some scenes are put in just to lengthen the drama. You might like it if you want to know what their married life is like. But it gives me the feeling that they have overdone it with the length.

If you want to watch something light and sweet, you can considering this drama. I am highly recommended this because for web-drama this one really not bad after considering the way they filmed, actors and actresses acting and also the details.

You should watch Romantic Doctor Kim, Teacher Kim, whatever you wanna call it. One of the more interesting medical dramas. Another heavy with medical, Descendents of the Sun, was amazing (duh) but also the earthquake one that was mostly medical was amazing too. Might try those ?

My first attempt to watch A Love So Beautiful was a total failure. Even though I was intrigued by the cast and premise of the drama, I simply could not handle the tonal cadence of the Chinese language; it sounded so weird compared to the Korean language, which I had grown to love. Another reason for my DNFing the drama was the stupid subtitles on KissAsian. The sentence structure was all wrong, and there were Chinese subtitles below the English ones. These two factors combined to eliminate my interest. Temporarily, at least.

In regards to its thematic content, A Love So Beautiful had a wonderful depiction of friendship. Xiao Xi and the other protagonists had different degrees of closeness, but all of them were realistic and meaningful. Each of them had distinct personalities that almost any viewer could relate to. I also appreciated how this drama illustrated the stress caused by college applications. Xiao Xi and her peers were pressured to get and maintain high grades in fear of being rejected by their dream universities. They had to take two major exams: a general exam mandated by the government and a specialized exam issued by a particular university. Plus, the characters had to deal with the occasionally unfair and irrational expectations of their parents. In my opinion, the academic drama in the show accurately reflected what could happen in real life, particularly in Asian countries like China and Korea. Thankfully, Xiao Xi and the other protagonists helped each other overcome their academic struggles.

Many subtitle teams take it upon themselves to translate Chinese TV dramas on vk.com, the biggest social network website in Russia. Subtitle teams also provide the latest information about Chinese TV dramas for Russian fans.

Compared with other genres, Russian audiences prefer historical dramas, said Anna, a member of the subtitle team "Asian Dragon." She said her team mainly translates Chinese historical dramas. The 21-year-old is from Ivanovo, a city in western Russia.

"Asian Dragon" was established two years ago, and has garnered over 7,000 followers. It has translated over 500 episodes of Chinese TV dramas, including the big hits Legend of Miyue, Ode To Joy, Princess Agents and others.

"It is less difficult than you'd expect to run the subtitle team, because all our members love this work. It's our interest rather than profit that drives us to translate Chinese TV dramas," said Anna.

Anna said that Chinese TV drama has replaced South Korean TV dramas to become a new trend in Russia. Due to the shows, more and more Russians are developing interest in China and Chinese culture.

So on one of the FB Korean drama pages, we were discussing the story that Hwayugi was based on, the Chinese folk tale Journey to the West. Someone asked if there were other adaptations out there, and The Epic Crush of Genie Lo came up. In my past life (pre-kdramas), I was an avid reader and reviewer of books. What better way to feed my current addiction than by using my past drug? I was IN.
