I'm trying to create a simple countdown timer that will play an alarm sound at the end (this will be for a recipe site).I found a script for a simple countdown timer, but I am having trouble implementing an alarm sound at the end. I am attempting to use SoundManager2 for the alarm sound. I am new to programming so any tips would help!

I am making a tower defense game. And i want to make tick-tock countdown sound but when i call "play sound" function in the code, it just keeps infinitely looping. i also used coroutine yet it didn't work. Please Help me.

The audio player will just straight up play a sound when the user clicks the play button. However, because we are trying to time it with for when countdown finishes, this is why we need the workaround in this case unfortunately.

- An active Internet connection required to play a sound signal. Do not close the web-browser or shut down your personal computer while using the online timer. Turn off the Power Save mode so ensure that the online timer will operate correctly.

Found a workaround to this irritating problem. Apparently after you set the default timer (1 sec), press start and let the timer countdown and sound off. After that it will stick to the default sound you had set. I am on IOS 17.1

I have experienced the same thing. Apple has started assuming what's best for the end user and shouldn't. One ridiculous thing they put in place is, if you are using your iPhone in whatever manner, the ringtone is automatically lowered. Who needs this!?!?! If you're in a quiet room and the timer goes off, people will hear it no matter how low Apple thinks the sound should be or if you re using your phone or not. Besides, this setting wouldn't cut mustard in a NYC theater. Worse the tone they chose for default is practically inaudible even when I figured out how to hear it at its loudest. In other words, the default alarm tone is useless. Apple, bring back our ability to change the default tone!

There is no difference between your script accept the countdown timer. (Actually Strez script has been around for more than a year). Actually Strez just updated the scripts so you wont see the previous version that he had. I have read the description an look the same!

I would at least give him credit!

Whatever pays the bills!

Sound of clock ticking on 60 second of length. Good for sound design, New Year's countdown, game and film cues.

This pack of sound effects includes three versions of the ticking clock (in order as shown in preview):

If you have an audio supporting device, incorporating sound effects to your routines is a great way to elevate your organization! You can now set an alarm to go off with your Countdown/Countup Timer. You can do this under the Rules tab and chose from five different alarm tones.

I'm trying to create a workout countdown timer of 30 seconds workout and 10 seconds rest.

After the 30 seconds run out, I would like to add a sound and once the sound stopped, start the 10 seconds rest countdown timer.

I managed to get the countdown timer to work, however can't seem to be able to get to the second stage of adding the sound then start the countdown rest timer of 10 seconds.

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks

Many thanks for this.

One thing I was looking for and this didn't cover was the countdown timer to actually show on the screen. So counting down from 30....

Thank you though Appreciate you using your time to help me.

We will be learning how to create a countdown timer in Microsoft PowerPoint using VBA Macros. You don't have to sit and tediously create separate text boxes for each number and animate them. Let me show you how to use PowerPoint in a smarter manner.

Windows: Office 2010 and above: File | Options | Customise Ribbon | \u2611 Developer\n

\nNow under the Developer Tab, choose Visual Basic.

\nMacOS: Office 2011 or 2016: Tools | Macro | Visual Basic Editor\n\n\nThis will open the Visual Basic Editor to input our code. If your Microsoft Office version isn't mentioned above, click here. Note that VBA works only on Windows and MacOS.","image":""},{"@type":"HowToStep","url":"https:\/\/pptvba.com\/powerpoint-insert-countdown-timer-vba-tutorial\/","name":" Step 3: Paste VBA Macro Code","text":"Copy and paste the following VBA Macro Code into the Visual Basic Editor: ","image":""}], "totalTime":"PT5M"} Sub countdown()Dim time As Datetime = Now()Dim count As Integercount = 30 'assuming 30 secondstime = DateAdd("s", count, time)Do Until time < Now()DoEventsActivePresentation.SlideShowWindow.View.Slide.Shapes("countdown").TextFrame.TextRange = Format((time - Now()), "hh:mm:ss")Loop End SubWe need to run this VBA Macro when we click on this shape in Slide Show Mode. To do this, select the shape, go to Insert | Actions | Run Macro | countdown

Once the current time surpasses the future time, we can trigger a MsgBox pop-up to notify us that the countdown is over. This is possible with an if-then condition present within the Do Loop. Instead of a message box, you can also redirect the presentation to a certain slide or play a sound effect.

In order to embed the same countdown timer throughout multiple PowerPoint Slides: if there is a timer for 30 seconds and we go to the next slide after 10 seconds, the timer in the slide should resume the countdown from 20.

We can also increase or decrease the countdown timer while in PowerPoint Slide Show Mode. This feature is commonly used by teachers playing PowerPoint Games in their classroom. For example, while playing a timed quiz game, the time limit can be decreased on click of a wrong answer. Similarly, the countdown timer can also be increased.

When the Pause Button is clicked, the timer freezes and the remaining time is calculated using the DateDiff Function. When the countdown timer is resumed, the future time is updated by adding the remaining time to Now().

Combine this with some way of playing sound in linux terminal (Play MP3 or WAV file via the Linux command line) or Cygwin (cat /path/foo.wav > /dev/dsp works for me in Babun/Windows 7) and you have a simple flexible timer with alarm!

Found this question earlier today, when looking for a term application to display a large countdown timer for a workshop. None of the suggestions was exactly what I needed, so I quickly put another one together in Go:

One of the most common questions we get about countdown timers is when to start your timer. We recommend going live before your scheduled time (ie: 10 minutes earlier) and letting your countdown timer tick down to your official start time.

A countdown timer also gives you some time to share your live video out to your various audiences (maybe share to your Facebook groups or do a quick email blast or Tweet) to get everyone back over to watch.

Generators: Add a special element like a placeholder clip, a timecode generator, or a countdown timer, or add colors, patterns, or animated backgrounds to your project. See Intro to generators in Final Cut Pro for Mac. e24fc04721
