Connecting the dots examines the normative and practical overlaps and connections of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda with the field of arms control and disarmament. Using an original approach to gender-responsive arms control and disarmament measures that is structured around the four WPS pillars of participation, prevention, protection, and relief and recovery, this report identifies current best practices and areas for further action. The report shows that further integration can bring benefits for both fields. For the arms control and disarmament community, the WPS pillars give structure and guidance to the comprehensive integration of gender perspectives, which thus far has been a piecemeal effort. For WPS policy actors and practitioners, engaging with arms control and disarmament helps to operationalize the WPS agenda, giving concrete substance to each of its pillars.

Connecting the Dots is an interactive career exploration simulation program designed to help 9th and 10th grade students learn more about careers of interest. Through the experience, participants explore how to connect the dots from early high school through postsecondary education and training to the workplace. The simulation experience incorporates local/area business and industry, post-secondary, and military partners. Additional workshops on resumes, motivating skills, and additional topics are a part of this program.

In our newest Capgemini Research Institute report, Connecting the dots: Data sharing in the public sector, we analyzed the topic of data ecosystems in the public sector in-depth to explore how public organizations can engage with data ecosystems. To support our research, we surveyed 1,000 senior officials from public sector organizations and interviewed over 20 senior public sector leaders and academics.

To practice connecting dots and make new meaning to solve problems in your context, you have to place yourself in contexts and experiences new to you. In his book A Whole New Mind, Daniel Pink offers practical ways to do so, including paying attention to design, digging into storytelling, and exploring symphony.

I have a basic PS qustion here. Is there any way that I can disable connecting brush stroke after drawing a straight line, while holding the Shift key. Currently, when I draw a straight line with shift and attempt to do a nother straight line, it connects with the previous straight line.

So many people have asked for this feature before, I do not think Adobe will do this unfortunately, it would be an incredible feature. I've been using Photoshop since the early 1990s and would love to see this. Having the shift key draw a straight brush stroke AND connect brush strokes is ridiculous. There should at minumum be a way to toggle the feature on or off. Or provide another key binding for each separately, which has not happened yet. If you draw alot of straight lines, having to constantly unpress the shift key between lines just to prevent your lines from connecting is not a good feature imho and slows down productivity.
