I also tried adding javaws.sr.project.version=Staging under JVMArguments in ~/Desktop/MainSCADA.app/Contents/info.plist but it fails to launch and shows Error: Could not find or load main class javaws.sr.project.version=Staging in clientlauncher.log.

Some users struggle with all of the connection options on the screen I thought about turning off connection launcher and just using bookmarks but given the number of different servers that different users connect to it might just be the same problem.

If I understand correct, that would still require me configuring all of the rdp or https bookmarks or talking users through creating their own. What I want is to present them with a cut down quick connect launcher so they have limited connections options.

I would like to add support for 240x240 watches which require 36x36 launcher icons. Do I need to make the launcher icon 36x36 for all watches or can I have both launcher icons and the correct one is used for the correct watch?

Once the 4.0 SDK goes live (you can see this with a sideload today), the launcher_icon is automatically sized for the device. That will make things easier. What I do today is just have one - the smallest size, and while it might look a bit small on some devices, with 4,0 nothing needs to change to get the proper sizing.

I must admit, I've never seen the launcher icon anywhere (nor the project name). The only place where I see an icon and a name is the garmin iq store and this one does display icon + text from the store definitions.

1) With 4.0, wouldn't you rather provide the largest possible launcher icon size (i.e. 40x40). If I had to choose between scaling a smaller image up and scaling a larger image down, I would choose the latter.

2) I feel like I would still want to provide launcher icons at the correct size, for the best possible visuals. (Especially if the source image is a vector graphic, since it would be "perfectly" scalable to almost any resolution.)

You say that you have no idea why I returned to Windows 8.1.. When I purchased the computer it had Windows 8.1 installed, and as I made the purchase quite close to the launch date of Windows 10, I was advised by the sales personnel to keep an eye open for the opportunity to have Windows 10 installed free of charge, this I did. While I had Window 8.1 installed I was able to play The Sims3 without any problems whatsoever. Even so some of my games that play on XP don't work, maybe this is more to do with changed in graphics cards I don't know. When I first down loaded Windows 10, I had no problem with The Sims3 but the number of playable games was much reduced, still I put that down to progress, however, with each Windows 10 update new problems arrived, and with the aid of technical advisers they where resolved. Early December 2017 I was playing The Sims3 the afternoon before a Windows 10 update, after that I was able to get as far as selecting a saved game or new game. Upon doing so I got fatal error messages, and windows closed Origin, and The Sims3 launcher. It made no difference whether I tried to open a saved game or a new game. I HAD, HAD ENOUGH. I had to take my computer into the store from where I bought it to have the HDD reformatted and Window 8.1 installed. I have had no problems with The Sims3 since (Apart for the short while that Origin was doing maintenance work).

Connect As Command is an advanced setting for the PuTTY launcher type where SSH proxy automatically runs the su command for a Unix root account secret after the user launches a PuTTY session. This provides a user elevated privileges without allowing a remote root connection or giving the user direct access to the credentials.

Update here: I had a call with Andrew and the issue boiled down to port 8080 being for non-TLS sessions but TLS was enabled. After some testing we changed the port to be 4433 (the default for TLS) and the machines were able to connect after that.

He downloaded the technic launcher, ran it, and it opens the splash screen and just sits on it. That's it, nothing happens afterwards. It's creating the .techniclauncher folder with the bare minimum, whatever is included inside the exe itself.

Trying to fix the problem myself, I just sent him my entire .techniclauncher folder since it already has the all the necessary files to run the launcher. It worked and opened the launcher, but selecting which type of mod pack he wanted would only create the empty directory of it. (If he picked tekkit for example, the mods folder was empty as it wasn't downloading all the components) same for all the others.

Besides that, it wouldn't let him log in either. It gives the message "Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net" because the program doesn't see a connection to the internet for some reason. He can log in perfectly fine with the official minecraft client and on the website too.

Downloaded and ran the Linux jar by right-clicking it and picking Run with Java Platform SE Binary. Nothing happened. Made a .bat file to run it instead. ("C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx1024m -Xms1024m -jar "technic-launcher-latest.jar") and it opened the splash screen and sat on it, the exact same result of running the exe file. It generated the exact same log as I pasted in the first post too.

If he doesn't have a router and is connecting straight through a cable or dsl modem then you could try doing an ipconfig /flushdns from a command prompt incase he's having problems with his dns server not resolving the address.

i have the same problem, using technic launcher v. 1.0.1.3, build 3.1.2, (the reccomended) it used to work just fine, then it suddenly said cant connect to minecraft.net, then i reinstalled the launcher and it said it cant fine my account! HELP!

Hi Epic, Everytime I attempt to log into the Unreal Engine launcher, I am receiving the error: Did not get a response. Are you connected to the internet?" I am definitely connected to the internet and I have even tried turning off my windows...

Edit: Solved the problem, at least for swtor! For some reason a line had appeared in the hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc, that blocked the connection to swtor specifically. I have no idea how it got there, or which program put it there, but removing the line 87.248.203.254 cdn-patch.swtor.com, and then saving the file solved the problem!

Hi

I have a problem with my desktop computer. For some reason the launcher of both swtor and mighty quest for epic loot can't connect to their service. I have tried to plug my laptop in with the same ethernet cable, and there it works fine. I have tried to disable both windows firewall, and my virus program (avast), but that didn't help. I tried to boot in fail safe mode with networking, but that didn't help either.

Obviously it is something on my end since it works on my laptop, but I am at a loss to what it is that blocks the connection. My internet connection to other things works just fine too.

I am running windows 8 pro, and according to my network admin, all ports should be open.

I have done some more trouble shooting, and when I use the built in net work error searching tool in windows, It tells me that there is something wrong with my proxy settings, although I can connect to other stuff just fine.

When I manually try to go to the swtor patcher update site, -patch.swtor.com/patch/LauncherRepairUtility1_74_7.exe, I get a blank page, no error message or nothing, but according to the tech support I am supposed to be able to get a download file prompt. Is there something different about that kind of link that would explain why I can't connect to it? This is getting really annoying, not so much that I can't play those games, but I hate to have a computer related problem that I can't solve D:

Ok, windows firewall is horrific. Try enabling it and adding a rule for the game to allow all connections and then disable it again if you like. Sometimes Windows FW will still block something even if its tuned off.. dont ask

Its either the firewall or your router. When you say network admin, do you mean a company where you work's admin or do you mean your ISP? If its a company you work at who manage the connection then yea. If its at home and its your ISP providing the connection then most likely its your router settings or firewall settings you need to change

I reformatted my PC a while back after playing on HC and recently downloaded this new launcher and followed the guide. I get to the server selection and when I click it hangs and eventually gives me a "Can't connect to DBserver" error, unable to fix it?
