Io was the daughter of Inachus, one of the River Gods and king of Argos. She was a beautiful, young girl and a priestess of goddess Hera. However, one day, great god Zeus saw her and fell madly in love with this maiden. Io was constantly avoiding his amorous attempts, until Zeus took the form of clouds, surrounded her and made love to her. Unfortunately, his jealous wife, Hera, learned about this relationship and turned Io into a white cow to punish her and stop them from getting involved.

The symbol of the rope in the lyrics represents a lifeline, a source of support and companionship. Another person, the person holding the rope, offers assistance and encouragement. Together, they aim to rise above the difficulties and ascend to a better place, both physically and emotionally. The idea of going "up in the clouds" signifies the pursuit of a brighter, more positive perspective.

The planet is warming and our climate changing. As political leaders around the world fail to reach agreement on how to curb the greenhouse-gas emissions that are the underlying problem, others are touting a more radical way to combat climate change: "geoengineering." The idea behind geoengineering is to deliberately tinker with the climate system to counteract man-made climate change. Schemes suggested include making clouds and crops brighter so that they reflect more sunlight back out into space, using high-altitude balloons to inject aerosols into the stratosphere and cool the Earth, or sucking carbon dioxide out of the air so that it can't trap heat and contribute to global warming. The mission of the Atmospheric Science Branch (Code SGG) is to advance the scientific knowledge and understanding of the processes that determine the behavior of the atmosphere on earth. We conduct scientific research on important environmental and climatic issues in stratospheric chemistry and ozone depletion, climatic changes due to clouds, aerosols, and greenhouse gases, stratosphere-troposphere exchange, and perturbations in the chemical composition of the troposphere. We develop and deploy highly sensitive, state-of-the-art instruments to ground sites and on a variety of platforms including aircraft, balloons, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and ship to make observations. We develop unique models of clouds, chemistry, dynamics, and radiative transfer processes to understand and elucidate controlling mechanisms.
